Tokyu Stay Hida Takayama Musubinoyu

The location is super convenient! It's the closest hotel to JR Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, so you can literally check in right after getting off the bus. The hotel has its own onsen (hot spring bath), which was lovely and not too crowded. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, it had a good variety of both Western and Asian options, and everything was delicious!

The hotel's location is excellent, right outside Takayama Station, and the Nohi Bus terminal is also nearby. Dining options around are very convenient. We wanted to try Ajikura next door, but it was closed that day. After hiking in Kamikochi on a rainy day, soaking our feet and enjoying the hot springs was incredibly relaxing. I feel like if I ever come back to Takayama, I'd choose to stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful and well-designed, and the hot springs are very comfortable. It's super close to the station, with drugstores and convenience stores nearby, yet it's still quiet. The staff are very welcoming. Highly recommend!

Beyond its good location, there's really nothing positive to say about this place. The Hollywood twin room was only available at the end of the corridor, which wasn't mentioned on the details page. The room felt like it hadn't been occupied in a long time; the air purifier on the nightstand was covered in dust. When I asked the front desk to have someone clean it, they said there would be a cleaning fee. Even for consecutive nights, changing sheets and cleaning cost 1500 per visit. There was no complimentary bottled water either. The soundproofing was terrible, and the demolition next door was incredibly noisy. I booked for three nights, but once I saw the room, I wanted to cancel the remaining two, and that wasn't allowed either. In short, it was terrible, terrible, terrible!

The hotel amenities are great! They have a washing machine, free coffee, drinking water, and ice. The hot springs are also a nice touch. If you're coming to Takayama, this hotel offers excellent value for money! I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

Tokyu Stay Hida Takayama Musubino-yu Hotel is conveniently located right next to JR Takayama Station – just turn right after exiting. The Nohi Bus Center is also a mere 5-minute walk to your left, making it easy to get to Miyagawa Morning Market and Yokocho Street in about ten to fifteen minutes. Right outside the hotel, you'll find Aji-Kura Tengoku, a specialty Hida beef restaurant.
