The hotel is conveniently located near Sanfang Qixiang and the subway, so other minor issues can be overlooked. Fuzhou Station is a direct subway ride away.
However, this was the most cramped Atour I've ever stayed at. The lobby was tiny, and the king room window was incredibly small. The staff were very thoughtful though and upgraded me to an executive room, which had a sofa and a much larger window.
Breakfast was just okay, but the local snacks were fantastic, especially the Rou Yan (meat swallows) – highly recommended! 😍
As usual, the service here was excellent! 👍
They even gave me a souvenir upon check-out.
On a side note, the toiletries in the bathroom were almost empty. I wonder if that was intentional?
The hotel was very clean and conveniently located, making it easy to get to attractions and food streets. The front desk service was also good. They have a gym, laundry room, and breakfast. Combined with the refreshing weather in Fuzhou this season, it was a very comfortable stay.

Eight years later, I'm back in Fuzhou and once again chose the Ju Chun Yuan, solely for their intangible cultural heritage dish, Buddha Jumps Over the Wall.
As a hotel guest, I enjoyed the perk of only waiting a maximum of 30 minutes for the Chinese restaurant, with service and tea fees waived, and even received some delightful small desserts. Breakfast was incredibly lavish.
The room came with complimentary fruit and local specialties. While the facilities are a bit dated, the air was fresh, and the window offered a direct view of Fuzhou's bustling cityscape.
A special shout-out to the handsome manager in the lobby! From arranging parking and our room to bidding us farewell upon departure, his entire service was warm and thoughtful, making us feel truly at home. A full 5-star rating! 😊👍🦄

My long-awaited trip to Fuzhou finally happened, and a local friend highly recommended this hotel as the top choice. It certainly lived up to expectations!
**Environment:** It's only a 10-15 minute taxi ride from Fuzhou Station, making travel very convenient. The hotel is right next to Sanfang Qixiang, and both the restaurant and some rooms offer direct panoramic views of Sanfang Qixiang and the city (as shown in Figures 1 & 2). The trees in the hotel's parking lot are beautiful (as shown in Figure 4), especially in the evening when they create a wonderful ambiance. There's a staircase nearby that leads directly to Ta Lane, making it super easy to explore and dine in Sanfang Qixiang.
**Facilities:** The hotel is well-equipped, perfect for someone like me who's on a 'half-vacation, half-work' trip. The desk, sofa, lamp, charging ports, ashtray, and matches are all provided. There's even a tea set, which is a thoughtful touch and adds a local Fuzhou flavor.
**Hygiene:** The overall cleanliness is excellent. The room cleaning is meticulous; the nightstands and headboards were spotless with no dust, and you can open the windows for ventilation, so there wasn't any strange odor in the room.
**Service:** The hotel's service is full of thoughtful details. They proactively inform guests about dining details, breakfast times and locations, and even offer luggage storage on the day of departure. This means you can enjoy more time exploring without your bags and pick them up before heading to the station, essentially gaining an extra half-day and avoiding the hassle of dragging luggage around the city. Definitely a big thumbs up!

My stay at Shuxiang Wenru in Fuzhou truly exceeded my expectations! It's nestled right within Wenrufang, offering a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle – coming back in the evenings was wonderfully peaceful. The hotel is a beautifully renovated old residence, with a Chinese courtyard and lacquerware decorations that give it a genuine cultural feel, not a kitschy imitation of ancient styles. The room was spacious and clean, with modern amenities. The front desk staff and concierge were all very polite, proactively helping with luggage and recommending local delicacies. Breakfast featured local specialties like 'Guobianhu' and 'Rouyan,' which were authentic and delicious. The location is absolutely perfect; you can explore Sanfang Qixiang without the crowds, as it's right outside the door. Great value for money – I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Facilities: The two rooms we booked were completely different in style, even though they were next to each other. Our room didn't even have an A/C control panel, just a regulator, which I have to complain about.
Service: This is definitely worth praising. Everyone was very welcoming during the Spring Festival, especially the uncle at the parking lot, who was great 👍.
Location: The location is also super convenient. There's a food street right outside, it's a 10-minute walk to Sanfang Qixiang, 5 minutes to Ji Hai, and 10 minutes to Zhufugui and Dongbai Center.

I booked this hotel in a hurry and had no idea it was the former residence of General Wu Shi. That was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is in an excellent location, right in a lively tourist area. The only downside is that you have to walk quite a bit from the pedestrian street to a spot where you can easily catch a taxi. Being an old mansion, the facilities are definitely a bit dated. The solar water heater ran out of hot water halfway through my shower, and there was a lot of fine dust on the bedsheets when I entered the room. There was also a sewage smell in the living area. These aspects made for a less-than-ideal stay, but for just one night, I won't be too picky. I hope these areas for improvement can be addressed so the hotel can operate even better.

GGuest UserCleanliness: The room was very clean.
Environment: Better than expected, with a warm, Instagram-esque decor. The room has a rooftop terrace, which was very comfortable. It's only a 20-30 minute e-bike ride from the southern and northern tourist attractions.
Service: The owner was very attentive and personally picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel.
Amenities: Plenty of hot water, effective air conditioning, and the room comes with disposable bath towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, and face towels.
A great stay! Highly recommended! 😁
AAnonymous UserI didn't expect this hotel to be so good, and now I understand why it received so many positive reviews.
First, the hotel gave us a free upgrade to a courtyard family room, which was incredibly important. The south-facing room on the first floor was very warm, and being able to open a small door directly into the courtyard was lovely.
**Cleanliness**: The cleanliness was excellent, and the facilities were new. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job; they even disinfected the tea set. Seeing that we enjoyed tea, they provided a large bottle of Nongfu Spring water.
**Environment**: The hotel is located right at the edge of Sanfang Qixiang, making it convenient for taxis. It's also very easy to walk to various attractions (Yan Fu's former residence, Lin Zexu Memorial Hall, Wenrufang, etc.). It's very quiet here, yet if you walk to the main street in the middle of Sanfang Qixiang at night, it's quite lively. About 100 meters away, on Yadao Alley, there's a Michelin Bib Gourmand 'Houjie Laohua' noodle shop that's open until 1 AM, which is very convenient. On the other side, walking towards Wenrufang, there's another Michelin-starred Min cuisine restaurant with excellent food. On the main street, the 'Tongli Rouyan' (meat swallows) is also delicious and served very quickly.
**Facilities**: The hotel's public areas are a suitable size with high ceilings. They offer various coffee, fruit tea, and hot beverages, plus some soft drinks and cold beverages (the 'Dasjie' olive juice is delicious). They also provide free postcards with stamps available. In the room, there's a box with several types of tea and a complete tea brewing set.
**Service**: The service was very thoughtful. We were satisfied from check-in onwards. Fresh fruit was delivered daily, and all drinks in the mini-bar were complimentary. Since we couldn't wake up early enough for the buffet breakfast, I asked if the hotel could pack some for us to try. To my surprise, they agreed and even delivered it to our room on a small table! I felt a bit embarrassed, as I had only expected a takeaway box. When we checked out, the hotel butler presented us with a souvenir and helped carry our luggage to the car. (I specifically noted the butlers' name tags, which read Qin Yue and Zhang Xuan).
Later, I learned that the hotel's breakfast is vegetarian and it's called 'Sanbao,' suggesting it might be a hotel with Buddhist undertones. Staying here, I felt very peaceful, and the overall environment was wonderful.
This is truly a hotel that offers great value for money and is highly recommended.
SSamuzen💫 Atour Hotel – Where Every Detail Speaks Warmth 💫
From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I knew Atour was more than just a hotel; it was a space built with genuine heart. Every staff member, from reception to the restaurant, welcomed us with sincere smiles. Their greetings—whether a ”Good morning,” ”早上好,” or ”Ni Hao”—felt truly warm, not just polite. I was deeply moved by how they cared for my grandpa; it was a heartfelt reminder of home. ❤️
The room was clean, bright, and elegantly designed, creating a perfect blend of comfort and tranquility. Thoughtful touches were everywhere, from complimentary chilled drinks to free biscuits that made us feel genuinely cared for.
Breakfast was another highlight, featuring fresh ingredients and authentic flavors served by an energetic and proud team. The complimentary late-night supper further demonstrated Atour's attentiveness to its guests' needs.
Just when we thought the service couldn't be more thoughtful, as we were about to leave, a staff member gently asked, ”Would you like a bottle of water for your journey?” 🥹 That simple gesture encapsulated the entire Atour experience: pure, unpretentious kindness.
The location is ideal, with a subway station just steps away, a supermarket across the street, the train station nearby, and a delicious Hakka restaurant right behind the hotel.
If I ever return to Fuzhou, I will definitely stay at Atour Hotel again. Special thanks to my local friend for recommending this hidden gem.
⭐ 5/5 – Service that goes beyond international standards. Atour redefines true hospitality, making it warm, thoughtful, and unforgettable. If I could add another star, it might be a caring star. ⭐️
GGuest UserI came here with my boyfriend for a trip to Fuzhou and chose this hotel. It was unexpectedly good! It's super convenient for food, with options right downstairs. We tried Xu Tai Niu and Tian Bian Cuo, both of which were delicious 😋. The hotel service was also great; they knew we were tourists and enthusiastically shared tips on how to get to the attractions easily. They even have postcards of scenic spots 🎑, which are really pretty!

GGuest UserThe front desk service was great; check-in was fast, and they even upgraded me to a river view room, which was a nice bonus. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with plenty of local specialties like taro paste, fish balls, seafood hotpot, peanut soup, vermicelli paste, and oyster cakes, all of which tasted delicious. It gets quite busy during breakfast, so if you go too late, you'll likely have to wait in line. The only minor inconvenience was that food deliveries can only be left at the hotel lobby on the first floor, while the front desk is on the 40th floor. Overall, it was a very good stay, and I would choose this hotel again if I'm back in the area.
GGuest UserThe staff were extremely friendly and attentive, even before my arrival. They tried to contact me in advance, but as a foreign guest, I do not have a Chinese phone number. It would be more convenient if the hotel could ask for guests’ WeChat IDs through the Trip.com messenger instead. Upon arrival, the staff created a WeChat group and added me in, which turned out to be very helpful. Through the group, they assisted with all kinds of questions, such as recommended places to visit, how to rent an e-bike, and where to eat nearby. The responsiveness and service were excellent.
The room was awesome — very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, and the view was fantastic. I also really loved the projector screen in the room, which allowed me to watch WeTV shows and other content. It made relaxing in the room even more enjoyable.
The hotel provides e-bike rentals, which is a great feature. However, I was personally under-geared for the weather. It rained the day before, and the entire day was cloudy with temperatures around 11°C. The sea breeze was very strong and cold, especially when riding the e-bike with the wind blowing directly at you. Proper winter gear is definitely needed in such conditions. If the hotel could provide glove and jacket rentals, that would be an amazing improvement.
In the evening, the staff even brought a small gift to the room. The gift was thoughtful and practical, and I really liked it — it was a warm and welcoming gesture that made the stay feel extra special.
Breakfast was okay. Guests are seated on Level 2, and the meal is served to the table. As I come from a place where some Chinese do not consume beef, it would be great if there were options such as chicken or beef. That said, the beef noodles were actually very good. The Western-style breakfast, however, was quite average.
GGuest UserI found this hotel on a business trip, but it was great. The hotel has complete facilities, good hygiene and environment. The breakfast buffet has local characteristics. There are shopping malls and subways near the hotel, which is very convenient.
SsloveskyWe brought the kids for a weekend getaway and specifically chose a hot spring king room with an indoor tub. The kids could soak whenever they wanted, and it felt private and clean, which was a huge relief. We also visited the swimming pool; the water was very clear, and they played all afternoon and didn't want to get out. The hotel facilities are quite new, and the hygiene is meticulous – really nothing to complain about. The most convenient part is that the subway entrance is right outside, and there's plenty of parking for those driving, so no need to fight for a spot. Overall, it was a very comfortable experience, perfect for relaxing with kids.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is great, making it super convenient to get around, and the subway station is within walking distance. The facilities and environment are decent, nothing fancy, but you can't beat the price. Plus, the front desk service was really good – they were always happy to help with anything I needed.
AAnh-BaoThe apartment is located inside a modern high rise building (with four elevators) in the middle of what appears to be a middle class neighborhood.
The building is within walking distance (I estimate 10-15 minutes tops) of the Fuzhou-South railway station. However. When me and my friend arrived there we decided to take a cab due to heavy rain - and we got yelled at because the driver was unhappy about the destination being so close to the railway station We yelled back and the driver apologized. We later realized that it would have been smarter to order a DiDi as cab drivers have to wait in line long time to get a railway customer and it is understandable that they want a customer who wants to go to the city center. Still. He had no right to yell at us. This is what the minimum fee is for.
Anyway. It is one of those high rise buildings that is built around a huge mall. Plenty of shops, drug stores, markets, restaurants (outside the mall) are within 5 minute radius. A mall entrance is within 3 minute walking distance. Very very convenient location. Not only so. Every day after 10:00pm there is a night market down the street where you can buy all sorts of delicious snacks even grilled oysters and steak.
Me and my friend had no issue locating the apartment because upon arriving at Fuzhou-South we got in touch with the owner. The owner then befriended me on WeChat, sent us the address, pictures of the entrance, description of how to open the main apartment door and the key lockers. Piece of cake. TBH I initially did not understand how to enter the code into the electronic door lock and so the owner came to assist. She was there within minutes after we asked for help.
The apartment is basically a bedroom with huge screen, beamer, queensize bed, workplace with sink, water cooker, washing machine, dining table and a nice, big fridge. Naturally you also have your own bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Everything was very clean and me and my friend were super happy with our choice. I initially thought that the mattress was too firm but then I slept very well on it. You have to take a cab or DiDi to the city center but its not far so it is not expensive. The A/C works very well. The view from the 18th floor is amazing.
Would I stay there again? Given the good location, hygiene and price I would absolutely stay there again.
