My recent stay at the Grand Hyatt Dalian was a mixed bag, truly 'fire and ice' – the hardware facilities and customer service were impressive, but the issues with the HVAC system significantly impacted the comfort of my stay. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and rectifies it soon.
First, let's talk about the hardware. The Grand Hyatt Dalian indeed lives up to the standards of a high-end hotel. The room was spacious and well-designed, with clearly defined living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom areas. The marble floors, quality furniture, and modern bathroom fixtures (separate shower, smart toilet, large mirror) all exuded sophistication. Especially noteworthy was the view from my high-floor room; through the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, I had a panoramic view of the European-style architecture of Dalian East Port Venice Water City and the vast seascape. The scenery, particularly in the morning and evening, was captivating. This kind of scenic resource is quite rare among hotels in Dalian. The kitchen was equipped with appliances like a refrigerator and washing machine, which are very practical for long-stay guests, showing the hotel's genuine investment in its hardware.
The customer service experience was another major highlight of this stay. The front desk staff, especially Ms. Wang, left a deep impression on me. From check-in to subsequent service responses, she maintained a proactive and enthusiastic attitude. She demonstrated professional service quality and genuine service awareness in all aspects. This 'home away from home' experience added a lot to the overall stay.
The only drawback was the hotel's 'crummy' HVAC system, which was the biggest complaint of this stay. During my stay, the day and night temperatures varied greatly. In the middle of the night, the room temperature rose abnormally. The hotel management set the central air conditioning control, and the temperature was set to 30+ degrees Celsius. The stuffy, hot air made it impossible to sleep, seriously affecting my sleep quality. I came to Dalian to participate in a marathon, and such a hot temperature was really unbearable. What was even more frustrating was that due to the high floor, the room windows had a tilt-and-turn design with a narrow opening angle. Coupled with potential positive pressure ventilation indoors (meaning indoor air pressure is higher than outdoors, hindering natural ventilation), even opening the window couldn't achieve effective air circulation. I was left to 'steam in a sauna' in the stuffy, hot room. This contrast of 'high-end hardware, discounted experience' indeed significantly lowered the overall comfort of the stay.
In summary, the Grand Hyatt Dalian demonstrated the quality expected of a high-end hotel in its hardware and customer service, and its scenic resources are a unique advantage. However, if the issues with the HVAC system are not resolved, it will directly affect the core guest experience – the quality of rest. I recommend that the hotel promptly inspect and upgrade the air conditioning system and optimize the room's ventilation design (for example, consider adding mechanical ventilation equipment or communicating with property management to improve window ventilation methods). This will allow guests to enjoy the beautiful scenery and excellent service while also having a comfortable and pleasant living environment. I look forward to the hotel's improved performance, and I will definitely choose to stay again then. This year's Dalian Marathon, due to lack of sleep, affected my personal best goal, and I plan to return next year, hoping to see improvements in hotel services as well.

Aaa516516This was my first time in Dalian, and I was really impressed – it's a wonderful city, with clean streets and alleys everywhere. What moved me most was the service at the Dalian Grand Hyatt Hotel (assuming '一方城堡酒店' refers to Grand Hyatt Dalian, given its castle-like appearance). Before I even arrived, they called me to ask about our preferences and any special requests. When they heard I was traveling with seniors and children, they offered an early check-in. Upon arrival, everyone from the front desk staff greeted us with warm smiles and gentle voices. Knowing I was from out of town, they shared recommendations for local food and sightseeing. Our hotel butler was also incredibly attentive, always ready to assist us with anything we needed. Even though my booking didn't include breakfast, the butler arranged for us to receive complimentary breakfast, which was incredibly thoughtful. The hotel also offers a free travel photography service, which my mom loved – the photographer was very professional and patient. A big thank you to the entire team at Dalian Grand Hyatt; you are a role model for hotels not just in Northeast China but across the whole country!

GGuest UserI arrived at approximately 2:00 PM, and although my room was not yet cleaned due to the holiday period, I understood the situation. I checked into Room 232, the 270-degree sea view room, which was the highest available category at the time of booking.
Unfortunately, several issues significantly affected our stay. The condition of the room facilities was disappointing. In the first bathroom, the flush button was loose and partially detached, and there were visible cracks on the wall. In the second bathroom inside the sea-view bedroom, the door stopper was detached and the drainage system did not function properly.
Additionally, the glass panel near the wardrobe had a long crack, which made us uncomfortable using the area as we were concerned about causing further damage. Most importantly, the refrigerator was not functioning. Although a technician came on the first day and informed us that there was no power supply, no proper resolution was provided. On the second day, another technician was arranged, but we had to wait for a long time, which disrupted our travel plans. Eventually, we were informed that the refrigerator could not be used temporarily. As my family stayed for three nights, this meant we were unable to use the refrigerator for the entire stay and had to leave items with the reception, which was very inconvenient and did not reflect the value of the room.
Regarding cleanliness, the first day was satisfactory. However, on the second day, the housekeeping service appeared rushed. There were hair strands left in the room, and the bed was not properly made — the bed cover was simply pulled over without proper arrangement, and the bedding looked untidy and wrinkled. I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness standards.
Furthermore, the booking was made for three guests, yet only two glasses were provided in the room. There was no tea available, only bottled water. Communication via WeChat was also quite slow when requesting assistance.
On a positive note, the room view was beautiful, the location is excellent, and the staff who assisted us before check-in were helpful. The room design and view are truly impressive. However, after check-in, the overall experience did not meet expectations. Additionally, the mirrors in the room had noticeable stains.
I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration for service improvement. Thank you for your attention.

GGuest UserI stayed in Dalian for 3 nights. The first night was in Dalian city, and the second and third nights were in Jinshitan. I stayed at 3 different hotels, and I honestly think the Hard Rock Hotel deserves a great review. The front desk staff was enthusiastic and very meticulous, and check-in was exceptionally fast. Then, a staff member named 'Yi Yang Qian Xi' (a playful reference to a celebrity, likely implying excellent service) helped carry my luggage to the room, which I found very thoughtful and considerate. Both the hotel's hardware and software aspects left me very satisfied! The key thing is, during the May Day holiday, among hotels in the average price range of 800-1000, the Hard Rock Hotel truly stands out in all aspects. Whether it's the location, the hotel facilities, or the staff's service attitude and professionalism, everything was excellent. This is my genuine review, not a insincere one written to get discounts or gifts, but a true reflection of my stay!

GGuest UserBefore my trip to Dalian, I spent days looking at hotels and B&Bs, worried about cleanliness and being too far from attractions. After three days of searching, and because my child loves loft-style rooms, I finally picked this place. It was such a pleasant surprise! The elevator on the first floor was very convenient. The owner specifically gave us a sea-view room where we could watch the sunrise, and it was also close to the elevator, which was great for the kids and elderly. The room was clean and tidy, and the amenities were very comprehensive. Downstairs is Donggang and Venice, and it's easy to get to Xinghai Square and the Oceanarium by subway or a 20-something RMB taxi ride. There's even parking downstairs. It was a truly enjoyable trip, highly recommend!

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right by the subway, making it super convenient to get around. I stayed in an executive room, which was spacious, bright, and had fantastic views. The bedding was comfortable, just the right firmness, really helping to relieve the fatigue from traveling. The front desk staff who checked me in was very thoughtful and specially helped me switch rooms, for which I'm very grateful! Too bad I don't know her name 🌝.

Best of all, it was a sea-view room. The price was fantastic – definitely cheaper during the off-season and great value for money. The owner was also very kind; you meet a lot of good people from the Northeast region. The location is convenient, and the environment is elegant. The front desk service was warm and professional, the room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable, leading to excellent sleep quality. Attention to detail was evident everywhere, making it truly value for money. I will definitely be back!

GGuest UserI originally booked a king-size bed room without windows, but when I checked in, the front desk lady upgraded me to a family room for free. It has an extra-large double bed and a single bed. The room is large and well decorated. It is very close to Xi'an Road subway station. The price/performance ratio is great. I will stay here again next time. I highly recommend it.

JJazz~I liked this hotel , had all the basic amenities and services. The hotel is located only 5 mins away from Zhongshan square , the nearest metro station is line 2 exit D1 about 3 mins walk. Very Peaceful and friendly staff. Hotel has a mini bar and a mini mart on its ground floor. Friendship center is about 8 mins walk from the hotel. Overall affordable for students and solo travelers.
