A small private hotel in a white area, check out time at 10 o'clock, a bit regrettable. It takes a few minutes to walk to the pier. You can only take a ferry if you don’t have a car. It runs every hour at night. Opposite is City, convenient. There are no restaurants nearby. Some details in the room are not hygienic, which is a failure. Everything else is good. The owner should be a westerner, check in basically requires English information contact, self-service key picking, and there is no receptionist. This is an Australian characteristic.

The 11 AM check-out time is a definite plus, better than most Sydney hotels. It's located within Sydney's tallest building, surrounded by a great selection of shops and supermarkets.

I booked a 7-night stay for the Sydney Marathon. The hotel is located in North Sydney, very close to the race starting point, and just a 5-6 minute walk to Victoria Cross Metro station.
My room featured a well-equipped kitchenette and was very clean. Housekeeping serviced the room every 1-2 days. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare Western-style pan-fried dishes, Chinese stir-fries, and light snacks. The soundproofing was also excellent.
The bathroom was a bit small. A minor drawback was that the shower only had an overhead rain shower, with no handheld option, which made showering slightly inconvenient.
An oven instead of a microwave would have been a great addition.

I specifically booked a room with a view of the Bay Bridge, and the scenery outside the window was absolutely stunning. The room itself was very spacious, and the shower had wonderfully hot water. The staff were incredibly friendly and even helped me cut up my fruit and brought it back to my room. It's only a 5-minute walk from the subway station, and there's a local supermarket nearby, which is super convenient for shopping. This area is a business district, so it's very quiet, mostly filled with office workers, which I quite liked.

Moreover, kitchen utensils, tableware and stoves are all available. There is a supermarket downstairs where you can buy daily necessities and ingredients. The front desk staff were very polite. The room isn't huge, but the best part is being able to see koalas! Our room, number 142, had three koalas right outside! It was such a pleasant surprise to watch them climb trees, even though they mostly just slept! The hotel also offers morning walks, night walks, and sanctuary tours that you can book at various times – all quite engaging! My 6-year-old loved it and learned a lot, provided you have a good enough grasp of English to understand most of it. She was so happy and really enjoyed this hotel. We spent two days at the zoo, and as guests, we had a pass for unlimited entry. Plus, there's a 20% discount on the Wild Ropes course next to the main gate – it was such a thrilling jungle adventure! My daughter's Junior ticket was only 21 AUD for an hour and a half of fun! The front desk and restaurant both offer unbeatable views of the Opera House and the Bridge when the weather is good!

I thoroughly enjoyed my overnight stay at Rudy’s North Sydney. The lovely man who checked me into the Hotel was so helpful. The following morning the host of the breakfast restaurant was also very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Rooms are renovated with nice products.

Amazing
GGuest UserTraveling to Sydney with my family, we booked two rooms. The hotel upgraded my parents' room for free, and it was very spacious. The service was excellent; they even offered a living room to relax in after check-out. The only downside was the mediocre view.
GGuest UserI’ve stayed in many hostels before and understand you sometimes get what you pay for, but my stay at Wake Up! Sydney Central was disappointing.
We booked a private room for three with a shared bathroom. The room had a strong “slept-in” smell which seemed to come from the actual pillows and bedding rather than the sheets. The shared bathrooms were also quite dirty, and during our five-day stay I only saw them cleaned once.
The kitchen on the first floor is far too small for the number of guests. Fridges and cupboards were completely full, and with only a few cooktops, sinks and microwaves it’s very difficult to cook or find a place to eat.
The hostel is very focused on partying, with events like pizza nights and free drinks in the kitchen area. It’s also quite noisy, with partying and heavy doors slamming day and night, so don’t expect much sleep.
Considering how expensive Sydney is, this place still felt overpriced. The building is run down (cracked sinks), beds have thin mattresses, and we even saw a large cockroach one day. Staff simply said, “this is Australia.”
There’s also no ramp at the entrance, so heavy luggage has to be carried up the stairs.
The only real positive is the great location.
XXiaoyouyouA perfect and comfortable stay to conclude our Sydney, Australia trip. Upon landing at Sydney domestic airport, I saw on Google Maps 🗺️ that the hotel wasn't far 🏨, so my son and I walked there, which took about 23 minutes. The moment we opened the door, we were amazed. It felt just like coming home. The front desk staff were also very good and nice. Finding food around the hotel was very convenient, with Northeastern Chinese, Sichuanese restaurants, and Asian supermarkets. A large Australian WWS supermarket was also within a 10-minute walk. Mascot train station is within walking distance, and it's just 5 stops directly to Circular Quay, known as the most beautiful station in the Southern Hemisphere. Our 3-night stay was absolutely fantastic! 🈵
NNaiyougegewuSydney Central YHA is the best-equipped and most pleasant hostel I've ever stayed in! I was in a 4-bed female dorm. There are power outlets right by the bed, facing downwards, so if your adapter isn't tight, it might fall out. However, there are USB and USB-C ports directly, which is super convenient. Each bed also has a reading light and a blackout curtain, offering great privacy.
The kitchen and dining area are huge, with a complete array of cooking utensils that are very practical and exceptionally clean; everyone is very considerate. There's a large supermarket, Coles, right near the hostel, making it easy to buy groceries. During my stay, I cooked for myself every day – it was delicious, hygienic, and affordable.
The best part is its location right by Central Station. Trains, buses, and all kinds of transport converge here, offering excellent connectivity and making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere.
Accessing the lifts, rooms, and communal bathrooms all require card access, ensuring top-notch security.
PPengtaaleinasiThe Crown Tower in Sydney was an absolutely perfect experience! Unobstructed panoramic views of Sydney Harbour, with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge perfectly framed. The high-altitude infinity pool was stunning, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and equipped with top-notch facilities. The service was efficient and incredibly attentive. The dining was excellent and getting around was a breeze. It truly boasts the city's best viewpoints, offering an unparalleled sense of luxury. Without a doubt, it's Sydney's premier hotel – a definite must-book!
PPAY ME SORT IT FOR YAWe arrived at the hotel in the early afternoon, but due to a delay, check-in was not possible until 6pm. What impressed us was that shortly after we finally entered our room, the manager called our room personally to apologise and offered a generous discount for that night’s stay. This level of professionalism and accountability is highly commendable.
The majority of the staff we encountered were polite, greeted us warmly and offered professional smiles throughout our stay.
However, there is definite room for improvement in the service. When our car pulled up, there were several staff members standing at the entrance, yet no one offered any assistance with check-in or check-out, nor did anyone help with our luggage. This was particularly disappointing for a family travelling with young children. The hotel would benefit from strengthening its service awareness and training in this area.
Unfortunately, during our stay, the room attendant accidentally broke our newly purchased facial cleanser while cleaning the room. They simply wrapped it in a towel and left it on the bathroom counter without any note of apology. While we did not make a fuss about it, it did reflect a lack of attention to guest experience and professionalism that could be improved.
Overall, we were still very satisfied with the hotel, particularly its excellent location and the warm, friendly service from the lobby staff. We would happily return on our next visit to Sydney.
XxiaoshumelExcellent location just a couple mins walk from Town Hall station. Also has a Woolworth conveniently nearby and QVB is just across the road. Room was clean, room service was excellent and towels were replaced daily. Mini fridge and iron too in the room if needed. Bathroom is spacious enough and concierge is very friendly.
Ggu****The hotel's location is excellent. Within a 5 to 10-minute walk, you can reach Chinatown, Paddy's Market, Darling Square, Darling Harbour, and Central Station. The room size was adequate, and it was clean and tidy upon arrival, with daily housekeeping being prompt and thorough. The front desk service was also on point.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks:
1. The lighting in the lobby area isn't great; it's generally too dim and looks like it needs a refurbishment. Hopefully, they'll update it soon.
2. We believe our room was in the newer extension of the hotel. There's a noticeable difference in floor levels between the two buildings, and the connection between them is entirely stairs, which is really inconvenient when you have luggage. This also needs an update.
3. The flooring under the carpet in our room was bulging in places and requires maintenance.
GGuest UserAbsolutely comfortable and nice room, and there’s some free water soaked with fresh fruit in the grand design lobby just in the entrance area which is good👍🏽
And it takes 10mins walk to Central Station and quite convenient to go to many spots in Sydney Center
3300343****The front desk service was excellent, and the Singaporean staff at the bar and the Hong Kong staff at the concierge were incredibly helpful! The local concierge also assisted with restaurant reservations! It was a wonderful experience! The Korean staff at the front desk were also very helpful!
