I’ve booked this previously and had a wonderful experience however this time, the booking process failed completely - it was overbooked (102%) capacity - wasn’t sure if this was possible?!
I had booked 2x rooms (a twin and king bed) but when checking in found that the rooms contained 1x bed and despite the request to keep the rooms together - they were on opposite ends of the hotel.
The staff were brilliant and eventually provided a twin bed room however this was bittersweet.
Location is fantastic - 20mins to main tourist attractions
Quite suburb with all the local amenities within ＜5mins walking distance

I was so surprised about the sheer size of the gym. Wow! This is a full sized fitness center with everything you need. Also the bed was extremely comfy and the shampoo smelled really premium. the design looks a bit outdated and the key card was plain white, which is unusual for a premium hotel. All in all still an honest 9.5/10.

We had the pleasure of staying 8 nights at Signature 1, Tecom, Barsha Heights, Dubai with my wife and our baby, and it was truly a memorable experience.
The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, making it perfect for a family stay. We particularly appreciated how well-equipped and cozy it felt. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to suit every taste. The hotel’s location is ideal—close to the metro, shopping areas, and restaurants—making it easy to explore Dubai without hassle.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Asanga Perera, the Restaurant Manager, and his team for their outstanding service. Mr. Rohit, our room attendant, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth and comfortable. The security staff were also exceptionally friendly, helpful, and attentive.

Booked Superior twin room. Arrived early and requested to store luggage at 10am and had breakfast at the hotel, which was great. We were advised room would be ready within and hour and a half, which was great and so we waited. Hotel then offered a temporary room until our room was available and to come back to reception at 3pm the check in time and the room would be ready. We did this to be told room not ready just yet would be another hour. We returned at 6pm, eight hours after we had arrived to be advised no twin rooms available for that day, only a king bed room. I was travelling with my 24 year old son, so this wasn't appropriate. after speaking with 3 different receptionists and 8 hours later finally the hotel decided to split the king bed into 2 single beds, which could have been done 8 hours earlier. We ended up staying in a smoking room, when a non smoking room had been requested. Very disappointed with the service, it should have been sorted out much sooner and correct information given, not kept being told room would be ready soon and then told the room we had booked was not available. No real genuine apology given or attempt to rectify the issue.

The room is spacious, and the location is super convenient. It's 16 stops from the airport metro without any transfers, and only 6 stops to Dubai Mall. Emirates Mall is even within walking distance. I was here for the 25th Dubai Marathon, and it was really close to both the start and finish lines, easily walkable. The metro station and Emirates Mall are both nearby. However, the hotel itself is a bit dated, and the facilities feel a bit old, though it is clean. BUT, and this is a big but, there's a bar in the building, and for two nights, I was woken up around 3 AM because of the noise. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to reconsider. Or, you could try requesting a higher floor; I was on the 3rd floor, room 316, and it was quite noticeable. Maybe higher up would be better, as the bar seems to be on the first floor.

I really liked staying here. The room was clean and everything worked properly. There was a good hairdryer, water filter and even an iron with an ironing board. Everything needed was provided: shower gel, shampoo, hair balm, toothbrushing kit etc.
The breakfasts were great: rich variety of meals and beverages (new smoothie or juice each day, for example). Eggs, fruits and vegetables, cereals, waffles and buns, sauces - you can eat differently each day.
The hotel is in 3 minutes walk from Insurance Market metro station and in 10 minutes walk from Mall of the Emirates. There is nothing to do in the neighbourhood, but you can buy everything needed in the nearby supermarkets.

It was a truly perfect stay. Next time I'm in Dubai, JW will definitely be my first choice. A special thank you to Malik for his outstanding service; he upgraded my room and arranged a late check-out for me. We visit Dubai several times a year but had never stayed here before. Our daughter, who lives in Dubai, suggested after she enjoyed a pool day, and it turned out to be a brilliant idea.
The food was really great, the staff were outstanding, and the service throughout was exceptional. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing, everything about the stay was perfect. We couldn’t find a single thing to fault.
Highly recommend the Sheraton Grand Dubai — we’ll definitely be back!

Breakfast was abundant and varied. Due to a flight change, we had to check out a day early, and the hotel surprised us by delivering our ordered breakfast items right before we left. It was beautifully presented and far from a perfunctory gesture, which was a delightful surprise!

EEva G.After a disappointing stay earlier this week at another 4-star hotel in Tecom, I decided to try Novotel Al Barsha for the weekend, mainly because Swiss Butter Steakhouse is inside the hotel. My friend Hannah and I checked in with a mix of curiosity and hope for a better experience.
The hotel does seem busy, which contradicts what some other guests have said. To their credit, we were given our room right away at check-in. I had booked a Superior Twin Room and specifically requested a higher floor for a better view. I also accepted a smoking room, understanding the compromise, but the overwhelming smell of smoke in the hallway left me wondering: shouldn’t a 4-star hotel manage this better?
Upon entrance, to our surprise, we found a joined single bed instead of twins. We called reception, hoping to move rooms, but they offered to just separate the beds. Regret hit when we saw how small the single beds were! Honestly, if you’re tall or on the bigger side, this setup will not be comfortable—especially if you’re staying with friends or family. To add, the bed’s mattress clearly needed flipping, as there was an obvious slope that made it uncomfortable to sleep on.
Adding to the unfortunate, despite being on the 25th floor, there was no view to speak of—something we were really looking forward to. It felt like a missed opportunity, especially given the hotel’s location and our specific request for a high floor.
The bathroom was another letdown. The tissue holder was almost broken, the materials inside looked cheap, and the toilet bowl was not properly cleaned, with visible brown markings—pretty gross for a 4-star hotel. Thankfully, the bathtub was at least clean, so that was something.
On the bright side, the highlight of this hotel is definitely their spa and pool. We were given discount vouchers for Soul and Senses Spa, and my masseuse, Shatria, did a great job. The pool is a decent size and clean, while the sauna and steam room were perfect. The health club overall is the ace of this place.
For breakfast, I agree with other reviews—it’s decent. The restaurant was packed in the morning, but the vibe was good. However, they don’t escort guests to tables; you just find a seat yourself, which is fine but felt a bit unpolished.
One odd thing I noticed: while housekeeping did try their best to fulfill our requests—like providing coffee capsules and water—there was no creamer for the coffee and tea. Even 3-star hotels provide that, so it was a first for me (maybe it was just the standard).
Despite these minimal disappointments, I still try to see the positive side of this hotel and did my best to take decent photos that you may see for reference.
Overall, it seems like this hotel mainly caters to group tourists, which makes me wonder if they’re sacrificing quality for quantity. I hope they work on improving their services, including room quality, views, and attention to detail, so they can leave a better impression of Dubai for future guests.
