"A Relaxing Stay with Warm and Wonderful Service We stayed for 3 nights with 2 adults and 1 child, and overall, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay. We were especially delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade to the Jacuzzi Villa. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Even with an extra bed for our child, there was still plenty of space and it never felt cramped. We also loved having the private courtyard, which was a lovely little space to sit, relax and enjoy some quiet time. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the staff. Everyone was friendly, polite and always greeted us with a smile. A special thank you to Ms. Kob, who was exceptionally warm and helpful. She was always willing to assist us and made us feel very well taken care of. Her genuine hospitality really added to our experience. The breakfast was good as well, with a decent variety of choices. For guests who prefer stronger and spicier Thai flavours, the food may taste a little milder than expected, but we still enjoyed the selection. The location is another plus. The beach is within walking distance, so it was very convenient to enjoy the seaside without having to drive. It gave us a very relaxing holiday atmosphere. There are a few areas where the property could benefit from some maintenance and improvement. In our villa, some sections of the wooden flooring were slightly raised and may need attention for safety and comfort. The parking area is also quite steep, which can feel a little challenging, although the staff were helpful and could assist with parking arrangements. For families with older children, one thing to consider is that the shower area does not have much privacy or a proper screen, so this may be more suitable for couples or families with younger children. Despite these small points, we genuinely enjoyed our stay. The spacious villa, relaxing atmosphere, friendly service and convenient access to the beach made our experience very enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay, and we would be happy to return in the future. 💛"

"Excellent Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui! We drove all the way from Bangkok, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The concierge team promptly assisted with our luggage and parked our car, making our arrival completely seamless. The lobby and check-in area are absolutely stunning, overlooking the beautiful Koh Samui coastline. It is one of the best places to enjoy a breathtaking sunset. We were assigned Room 503, which was very spacious and thoughtfully designed. The privacy compartment doors made it ideal for families, and the sofa bed was surprisingly large and comfortable—perfect for our 19-year-old son. Pros: - A beautiful private beach with complimentary kayaking. While it may not be the best beach for swimming, it is perfect for relaxing and enjoying water activities. - The buggy service was incredibly fast and efficient. Every driver was friendly, cheerful, and always ready to take us anywhere around the resort within minutes. - Outstanding hospitality and guest service. Every staff member made us feel genuinely welcome. A special thank you to Mr. Ruben for taking such great care of us throughout our stay. - The concierge team did an excellent job arranging our private long-tail boat tour. We had a wonderful day visiting Pig Island, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and enjoying the beauty of Koh Samui. Everything was organized perfectly. - The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options. The bacon and pastries were among the best we've had, and a special thank you to Mr. Ping for serving us the sweetest, most delicious mangoes every morning. - Our housekeeping attendant, Mr. Renu from Myanmar, was exceptionally polite, friendly, and professional. He kept our room spotless every day, and his attention to detail made our stay even more comfortable. During check-out, I had a pleasant conversation with Bernice, the Director of Rooms from Malaysia. Our chat about Malaysian food brought back wonderful memories and was a lovely way to end our stay. Three nights simply were not enough at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui. This is the kind of resort where you should stay for at least one week to fully enjoy everything it has to offer. Unfortunately, I didn't even have enough time to experience the gym, which looked excellent. Only one small suggestion: the breakfast seating area can get a little warm during the morning. Of course, that's part of the tropical outdoor atmosphere—almost like a natural sauna—but a few more cooling fans would make the experience even more comfortable. Overall, we completely fell in love with The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui. The breathtaking scenery, luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and warm hospitality from every member of the team made this an unforgettable vacation. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a truly world-class stay in Koh Samui."

"Silavadee Pool Villas Samui: An Honest Review 🇹🇭 Silavadee Pool Villas, Koh Samui My honest thoughts after staying at this popular cliffside villa. 🏝️ Location: Even closer to the sea than the neighboring Banyan Tree. The hotel is nestled on a cliffside promontory at Lamai Beach, right next to the Banyan Tree. However, Silavadee's overall terrain is more beachfront, directly facing the entire bay, giving it a naturally superior ocean view. Surrounding amenities aren't the most convenient: The nearest convenience stores and restaurants are at least a 15-minute walk away. If you don't want to walk, don't worry – the hotel offers complimentary shuttle services to Chaweng Beach and Lamai Town, making getting around quite hassle-free. 🏡 Room Types & Recommendations: Ocean View Villa The hotel primarily features detached Thai-style villas, categorized into first-row ocean view, partial ocean view, and garden view villas, along with basic standard rooms. My immediate impression was that the indoor room space wasn't as large as advertised. However, the private terrace and private pool with ocean views more than made up for it. On the first night, we were assigned Villa 28. There was an observation deck in front, obstructing the ocean view. Not only was the view incomplete, but the privacy of the terrace was very poor – you could see directly into the room from outside. I immediately contacted the front desk, and they kindly moved us to Villa 29 the next day, free of charge. This villa offered an unobstructed panoramic ocean view, and the terrace was completely private with a phenomenal view – a world of difference! 👉 Tip for your stay: Be sure to request a first-row ocean view villa, specifically number 29 or higher. Villas 26 and 27 also offer better ocean views. If you're only planning to stay in a basic room type, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. 🌊 Public Areas & Beach: Stunning pools, average beach The hotel's overall public area isn't particularly large, but it boasts two expansive infinity pools perched on the cliffside overlooking the ocean, perfect for photos. It also has a private beach at the foot of the hill, but it's quite rocky, and the sand is coarse, making it uncomfortable to walk barefoot. It's fine for taking pictures, but not ideal for leisurely strolls or swimming. 🍴 Dining: The hotel's biggest highlight, breakfast is divine! The only absolutely flawless aspect of this hotel is its dining. It completely exceeded my expectations, comprehensively outshining the InterContinental I stayed at previously in terms of taste and ambiance! 1. Cliffside Breakfast Restaurant The breakfast restaurant is built on the cliff, offering a 180° unobstructed ocean view. It operates on a buffet-plus-à-la-carte model, and all the freshly prepared dishes are consistently excellent – you can't go wrong. Every dish has amazing flavor and seasoning, and enjoying breakfast with the sea breeze is an incredibly blissful experience. 2. MOON Restaurant (popular spot) Previously a dedicated breakfast spot, it's now exclusively for dinner. Located next to the second main pool, it offers a fantastic ambiance for a romantic dinner, enjoying Western cuisine and seafood with the sea breeze at dusk. ⚠️ Real Drawbacks: Consider carefully before booking It's a bit overpriced, heavily leans into its 'influencer hot spot' status, and attracts many Chinese tourists. During peak season, room rates are high, and considering the overall amenities, it's not particularly cost-effective. ✍️ Final Recommendation for Your Stay This is a cliffside 'influencer' hotel with very polarized pros and cons. Its advantages are the stunning cliffside ocean views, private pools in individual villas, and a top-tier cliffside breakfast. Its downsides include challenging uphill walks, many mosquitoes, average amenities, and a less-than-ideal value for money. If you decide to stay: I only recommend booking a first-row ocean view villa or higher. I absolutely do not recommend booking basic room types. Make sure to communicate in advance to avoid Villa 28, which has an obstructed view!"

"We stayed for 4 nights in a private pool villa. The room was large and very comfortable, with a super comfy bed and pillows. Service was constant and attentive, and the in-house app made it easy to contact the host 24/7. The hotel is beachfront, has several on-site restaurants, and the breakfast was great. We didn’t mind the location as we rented a motorcycle just a minute away. Negatives: Our villa shared a wall with another pool villa, and there’s a door connecting them, so we could hear the neighbors. The pool wasn’t fully private — we could see into another villa and they could see us. Other notes: Since it’s a ground-floor/garden villa, expect to see insects and reptiles. We saw several lizards, a toad, a couple of crickets, and lots of mosquitoes — definitely bring repellent. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, very relaxing, and we’d highly recommend it for anyone wanting a private pool villa experience in Koh Samui."

"1. **Check-in** We were greeted with welcome drinks, and all the services available during our stay were thoroughly explained. After check-in, we were taken to our room by golf cart. 2. **Location** There's not much around, but they offer scooter rentals and a shuttle bus service. The shuttle bus goes to two night market areas, but it doesn't run very frequently. It was convenient for tours as the pier for ferries to Koh Tao was only about a 10-minute drive away. 3. **Room** The room was very clean and spacious, and the ocean view was absolutely stunning. The desk, closet, vanity, and refrigerator were all generously sized, making our stay completely stress-free. 4. **Bathroom** The bathroom was very clean, with excellent water pressure and temperature. Having two showerheads was very convenient, allowing two people to shower simultaneously. Amenities were also readily available by requesting them at the front desk. 5. **Facilities & Services** The hotel offers so many facilities and services that we couldn't even use them all during our stay. The gym was impressive for a hotel gym, equipped with 30kg dumbbells, a Smith machine, and 25kg/20kg plates, making it suitable for serious workouts. We had breakfast at the restaurant, which was an à la carte buffet, and every dish was delicious. We also dined there one evening; the food was excellent, and the prices were comparable to restaurants in town. The pool was under renovation for most of our stay, so we only got to use it on the last day, but it was a beautiful pool with a great atmosphere. 6. **Other** All the staff members were kind and attentive, and it felt like they effectively shared guest information among themselves. I fell ill during my stay and felt bad for inconveniencing the hotel, but the next day, every staff member I encountered asked if I was okay. I was extremely satisfied with both the facilities and services, and I would definitely love to stay here again if I visit Koh Samui in the future. I would confidently recommend this hotel to anyone I know visiting Koh Samui. The only minor drawback I could mention is the significant elevation changes within the property, which might be a bit inconvenient for those with mobility issues."

"Service was excellent right from the start. We could have breakfast in room for one the mornings. Our “secret room” was exclusive and super private. Room service tasted awesome. The team initiated late check out at 3pm to accomodate our departure flight back. Super recommended if you are coming for your special occasion trips or just a restful getaway. Location is 3min from Central Samui where supermarkets and restaurants are just stone’s throw away."

"Stunning views and amazing rooms, peaceful and quiet location, I would suggest renting a car or scooter to get around if you want to be going to the tourist attractions. However if you looking to relax and read a book and be in a quieter place this is perfect. Awesome pool with beach views. There are a few fantastic restaurants within walking distance, the villa has a restaurant as well and the staff where amazing and friendly. Food was also great. A variety of western and Asian breakfasts to choose from. Thank you Cream and One the two ladies in the restaurant, your service was outstanding"

"Comfortable, clean, and pleasantly surprised. This is my third time in Koh Samui, and I have stayed in several of the most popular hotels. This time I want to change to some new hotels. This time I booked a seaside homestay for the first three nights, and stayed here for the last night. Because there are three children in the family, we need two rooms, and this two-bedroom and one-living room is just right. The whole design of the room is very comfortable, the details are especially clean, and the living room and dining table facing the beautiful scenery are really pleasing to the eye. The key is that the price-performance ratio is super high at more than 2,000 a night👍👍👍"

"Wonderful hotel! We really enjoyed everything; you feel a true connection with nature here. They have various entertainment activities scheduled at the hotel. There are many thoughtful little touches in the villa. We tried the local restaurant's cuisine and liked it, though the prices were above average. Thank you, I will recommend it!"

"Great location in Chaweng and a beautiful beach right in front of the hotel. The room was clean, although quite small considering we had booked a deluxe room. The sea was also quite shallow, which made swimming less convenient. The main downside was the noise, as we could clearly hear people in the hallway and in neighboring rooms. The restaurant was okay, nothing exceptional but still decent. There were also no sun loungers available on the beach. Overall, the stay was average. The location is a real advantage, but the small room, noise, and a few other details kept the experience from being better."
