Perfect 3-Day Business Stay during NIFF 2026 – Tulsi Kathmandu Hotel 🇳🇵 Stayed 3 days at Tulsi Kathmandu Hotel during the Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF 2026), and it turned out to be an excellent base for a business-focused trip. Location Very central in Thamel, within walking distance to key areas, restaurants, and festival venues. Ideal when the city is busy due to events like NIFF (held April 2–6, 2026 in Kathmandu). (The Film Nepal) Rooms & Facilities The hotel is brand new (opened 2026), with modern, clean, and well-designed rooms. Strong Wi-Fi, desk space, and quiet environment made it suitable for work between meetings. (Tripadvisor) Service Staff is consistently described as very friendly, attentive, and professional. Check-in and support were smooth, even during high-traffic festival days. I booked the hotel because I wanted to stay close to Buddha Stupa in Boudhanath and this is by far my best experience in Kathmandu. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the Stupa, but very quiet and private. There is an old monastery inside the hotel, and part of the profit from the hotel goes to support the monks in monastery. Morning yoga session is 8am to 9am led by a monk, but I always slept in so couldn’t make it (my fault!). Breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend the puri with potatoes and beans fillings. The hotel manager and staffs are very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, which made the stay even more pleasant. Thank you all, it’s been a great experience staying Hotel Dolmaling. I would definitely come back here the next time I’m in Nepal!

Kantipur Temple House is my choice of accommodation each time I visit Kathmandu. There’s always a relaxing welcome when arriving after the hustle and bustle of the journey from the airport. An oasis amid the chaos, full of nostalgia and ancient charm. The rooftop yoga is an added bonus, highly recommended.

Great hotel to relax in after a strenuous hike in the Everest region. Very close to Thamel for you to do any last minute gift shopping. Clean room, friendly staff, decent breakfast!

We have booked deluxe room after checking pics which has balcony but when we checked in they gave us room no. 803 without balcony i show them my booking details which has balcony even though hotel it self website showing deluxe room with balcony but they refused so beware if your booking deluxe room. There is so many thing are downside Only 1 option for indian veg food for all 3 days No conditioner in shower Check in in allow only 30 mins. Before  Check out sharp 12 pm  even hotel is only 20-30% occupied If you are indian and strict vegetarian please choose other option like farfied by marriott which 4-5 mins walking distance from that location.

The hotel is conveniently situated right behind of the Garden of Dreams. Just a short walking distance to the busy Thamel area. The vicinity has convenience stores, cafes, eateries and pharmacy. The room is quite small but it's alright for a short stay. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other hotels that I've stayed. Very basic fitness facility in the hotel, do wish that they would make the gym bigger and better equipped. The breakfast buffet is good enough for some fuel before heading out to explore. Omelette could definitely be improved but I do like the mushrooms and bacon with my omelette. They also have a soup station which you can pick what you want to go into your soup. The soy latte was nicely done. Some day they serve the chocolate cake which is a must try. Staffs are very well trained and speaks good english. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the value for money, fantastic location and good hospitality.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

Nice hotel in the city center with all the conditions I need. There is a good restaurant on the top, and the coffee shop on the ground floor. The service was perfect, the men from reception, his name is Birendra, allowed me to leave my belongings while I was on track, and helped me with all the questions I had.

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the service, as well as the food is excellent. The rooms however, are very old and small (we were able to change rooms after bringing this up with reception). The location is in Thamel and getting to nearby attractions is convenient

I stayed for 2 nights, it didn't feel safe for me as a solo woman traveller. One the first night around 11pm there were 3-4 men shouting and laughing and knocked my door. I was scared and called the reception. The phone wire was not connected to the phone, i have to hold it tight to the phone while i was speaking. It was a terrifying experience. When in emergency even the phone wasn't working! the receptionist took 30 min to for the men to calm down. The next day morning the receptionist told me they men moved out. But i saw them in the evening in the hotel. Didn't feel safe. Again, the men, shouting and aloud. Still i couldn't sleep there, awake whole two nights i stayed there, didn't feel safe. The place was clean. Location was good.
