"Overall is a good place for families to relax and enjoy the nature and with lots of pets around in the compound. Rabbit, horses, ducks, sheep & etc. nice for kids to enjoy the pet feeding. Room cleanliness to be improved anyway. A little far from town and dining outside is rather troublesome. However plenty of hawkers and roadside stalls are just within walking distances if u can accept the street foods."

"The room was large and beautiful, and the swimming pool and location were great. However, the bathroom window wasn't tinted, which felt a bit risky for privacy while showering. The worst part was the smelly towels; I had to use my dirty clothes after showering. These two things could definitely be improved. Everything else was excellent."

"The hotel is situated directly opposite Terengganu Airport, just separated by a wire fence. The reception staff were very polite; they even promptly reminded me about my forgotten passport. Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM, but for guests departing early, they kindly prepared breakfast packs and even walked them to the airport entrance, despite the drive only taking about three minutes. However, the hygiene conditions were quite concerning. The bathroom lacked proper wet/dry separation, the electric water heater provided very weak water pressure, and to top it off, I stepped on a huge cockroach while using the toilet at night. The mattress was generally acceptable, but anyone with high hygiene standards would likely find the pillows quite unappealing. Overall, this place might suit travelers catching a very early flight, especially those with lots of luggage who prioritize convenience over pristine hygiene."

"A Resort with Great Potential, but a Very Disappointing Stay Peridot has one of the nicest, quietest, and most beautiful stretches of sandy beach in Redang. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended for us. The resort has tremendous potential, but it is let down by poor maintenance, limited food choices, and pricing that simply doesn’t match the overall experience. Our biggest disappointment was the villa. Despite paying over RM1,000 per night, the spacious villa was fitted with only a single 1.5HP air-conditioner. The room was unbearably hot throughout our stay. We had no choice but to drag our beds directly in front of the air-conditioner just to get some sleep. We made repeated complaints over three nights, but unfortunately nothing could be done. On our first day alone, we had to request repairs for the leaking bidet, faulty shower head, rain shower, and several other maintenance issues. While the staff responded promptly and were always polite, there is only so much they can do. The underlying problem lies with the overall management and upkeep of the property. Even the reception aircond is leaking 🫣 The swimming pool also deserves immediate attention. It is widely known among visitors staying at other resorts in Redang that Peridot’s pool is often dirty and murky. Ironically, the seawater at the beach looked much cleaner than the pool itself. The restaurant was another letdown. The menu was very limited, yet prices were among the highest on the island. Even the breakfast selection was disappointing and did not reflect the premium rates charged by the resort. What surprised us most was that many neighbouring resorts, despite having beaches that are not as beautiful as this one, felt much more vibrant, lively, and better maintained. After travelling to many countries around the world, it is genuinely disappointing that one of our most memorable negative hotel experiences happened in our own country. I sincerely hope someone from the company reads this review. This resort has enormous potential but requires significant investment in maintenance, facilities, food quality, and overall guest experience. More importantly, it needs an experienced hotel manager who can revive and properly manage what could easily become one of Redang’s best resorts. Malaysia is well known for its hospitality. Please don’t let such a beautiful property tarnish that reputation. With the right management and commitment to improvement, this resort could truly become something exceptional."

"Room is relatively clean. Beddings is fine. Lighting is too dark. AC cold good. Fridge is disgusting so we didn't use. Bathroom is horrible 😓 I booked 3 rooms all 3 shower head not in good condition. Please change the shower head! It doesn't cost you a bomb. The doors is disgusting. Feel so uncomfortable. We wash our hair at the pool shower area. There isn't any choice of food. Only the coffeehouse limited food. If wants to go to Long Beach for more choice of food will cost Rm50/per head boat. The only good experience is the employees all are superb professional, good manners, helpful."

"We had an unexpectedly beautiful 4D3N stay at Redang Divers Resort. Initially hesitant due to the 3.2 rating, we booked as it was the only available option, but it turned out to be the best decision.From the warm yet respectful service by Wei to meeting the humble owners Adrian and his wife, everything felt genuine and comfortable. The food was outstanding (we truly miss the food!) honestly among the best we had in Redang.The beachfront view was amazing, white sand and turquoise sea right in front of our room. Simple, raw island vibes, clean rooms, and a truly heartfelt experience for our family. A small note: the toilet flooring could use an upgrade, but we understand refurbishment is already underway with the new management.Not a “luxury” resort, but definitely 5-star in heart, service, and overall experience.We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making us feel at home!"
