"Both the rooms and common areas are clean. I've been indulging in durians for a few days in Ipoh, and I'm very satisfied!"

It's worth mentioning that the hotel provides ample parking spaces, saving time spent looking for parking. 5. Overall, this hotel offers good value for money, and the rooms are quite spacious. It's definitely worth a stay."

"I stayed at this hotel for many days during my trip to Ipoh. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to a large mall and a big supermarket. There are pharmacies, snack shops, and clothing stores all within the mall. The breakfast at the hotel was very rich, offering bread, milk, coffee, salads, fruits, drinks, and stir-fried dishes. The hotel's swimming pool is very comfortable and beautiful for photos. The staff were all very enthusiastic and friendly. Overall, I'm very satisfied. The only downside was that the room I was given for so many days had no view; there was nothing to see outside the window. I would definitely stay here again next time; the value for money is still good."

"My overall experience at M Roof Hotel & Residences was average. The hotel shows its age a bit, and it's not as new as it appears in the photos; some facilities are a little dated. The room's flooring was noticeably warped, and there was a slight odor when I first entered the room. Overall, there's room for improvement in maintenance. However, the bathroom was clean and tidy, and the bedding was very comfortable, making for a decent sleep experience. Generally, if you have high expectations for accommodation, you might find a discrepancy between the reality and the photos. But for a short stay, it's acceptable."

"The hotel decor very nice as the hotel name as Boutique, the room i booked was double bedded not big as expected but just nice for solo traveller, the toilet very nice colour which black and white, the toilet flashing got problems and the counter gave a fast and good solution very fast . The only I wanted to complaint is the bed and the pillows not nice for good sleep, maybe the hotel need to made a changed especially the pillows ."

"On the day I checked in, I left my things in the room and I went shopping. I did leave a Do Not Disturb sign on my door. When I came back, the minute I put down my shopping, someone tried to open my door. Looked through my peep hole and saw a middle aged woman. The key obviously did not work. She left after a while but came back with a bell boy who rang in my doorbell. I opened the door and bellboy apologised and asked if I was staying here. I said I have checked in at 3pm. Bellboy pointed at two luggages and said he sent them to the wrong room? Wait what? Whose are these? The woman said they were hers. Bell boy said he delivered them to the wrong room. Next, front desk called me and asked for my name. Not to apologise but ask for my identity. She confirmed that there’s been a mistake in assigning rooms. I asked her what do I need to do. She said nothing. No apologies. I asked her why the bellboy entered my room even though the Do Not Disturb sign was there. No answer. My advise to those who choose to stay here - double lock your doors and keep your valuables with you. They did not respect my DND sign and entered my room."

"Great location and easy access to food and attractions. Unfortunately, the bathroom shower head was poorly maintained and looked dirty. I reported the issue several times, but it was never attended to. A small item perhaps, but seeing it every day during the stay became quite frustrating. "Convenient for food places. Next to Aeon Station 18 mall. Though lack free parking space behind the hotel. Paid government plots plenty are available (chargeable from 8am-6pm). Rooms not soundproof and can hear floor squeaking outside when other guests walking to their rooms. Comfortable beds, clean sheets and basic room amenities. Spacious and great vibe. Bathroom water pressure is great and hot water is good."

"The hotel is the most affordable place to stay in Ipoh. The room is huge and has enough space for walking, and the bed is clean and comfortable enough to sleep. There are also a few places to eat along the street and the foods nearby are cheaper compared to the city centre. On the other hand, the hotel's floor is dirty, it's difficult to walk and we feel disgusted. Furthermore, the room unprovided the fridge. Lastly, the funniest place, the room provides us an ironing board but they don't provide an iron."

"Everything about this hotel was great. The atmosphere was noble and elegant, and the restaurant food was delicious. The sky pool was a major highlight! We booked a deluxe room with a jacuzzi, which our child absolutely loved. The only minor drawback was that the executive lounge only offered a small selection of snacks and coffee, with no sodas or juices. This wasn't very kid-friendly for families. The executive lounge could definitely be improved. We would still love to come back and stay again if we get the chance."

We stayed at Ipoh Bali Hotel for 4 days and 3 nights for our honeymoon, and we’re truly so grateful we chose a local honeymoon instead of flying overseas. This place made our trip feel peaceful, romantic, and memorable. From the moment we checked in, Raidah was incredibly warm, helpful, and friendly and she even checked us out at the end of our stay. Her hospitality really made us feel welcomed and taken care of throughout the trip. All the staff we met during our stay were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Every time we walked past, we were greeted with smiles, which made the atmosphere feel so warm and comfortable. We also had massages during our stay, and the masseuses were amazing. The service honestly felt like a 5-star experience, professional, relaxing, and exactly what we needed after the wedding. A special mention to the breakfast team as well, especially May, who was so kind and attentive. The food was excellent. We loved it so much that we ordered the same dishes twice during our stay, the Balinese chicken porridge and the Balinese rice set (can’t remember the exact name, but it was so good!). The room itself was spacious with beautiful high ceilings, giving such a cozy Bali-inspired atmosphere. One of our favourite parts was the sound of flowing water from the balcony at night It was incredibly calming and helped us sleep so well. The bathroom was also very spacious and came with a lovely bathtub, which made the whole honeymoon experience even more special. Honestly, the hotel felt like a 5-star resort experience to us, so we were surprised to find out it’s officially rated 3 stars. The service, atmosphere, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. Overall, this was the perfect honeymoon stay for us, and we will definitely come back again in the future.

For the price, I think it is a reasonable option.  However objectively: 1. The air-cons don't work well - one of them was leaking.  The staff was helpful in sending contractor to fix while we were out but due to miscommunication (because we have connecting rooms) the ”fix” was made to the air-con that wasn't leaking as badly as the one we complained about.  To be fair they offered to swap rooms but we are a family of 5 and it was a hassle to repack and move so we declined.  2. The hot water was very good despite some reviews.  However the shower head in one of the rooms were such that they don't stay put so occasional splashes happened.  3. One of the rooms wasn't cleaned (we have connecting room) - the ”make my room” card wasn't available in one of the room so we hung on just 1 of the room and left the connecting door open, thinking that the cleaners would clean both.  They only cleaned 1.  I guess we could have outright told reception instead of assuming that the cleaners will clean both rooms since we left the connecting door open.  4. I paid for extra bed - but the bedsheet was dusty - they changed it (or at least vacuumed it) after the first night.  5. The beds were quite comfortable, they offered free bottled water and coffee sachets, tv worked, fridges worked, rooms were decent sized, wifi was ok - ample street parking, the lights were ok but one of the rooms had stark white lights instead of the warmer ones. Location was good, just off the highway and across the eateries in Bercham.  6. The staff were helpful and friendly.  Despite the complaints they texted me and constantly called to check if we needed towels (because one of the room weren't cleaned) and they asked twice if we wanted to change rooms (we didn't because of reason stated above).  7. Suggestion - build a small ramp to go up to the hotel from the road if possible.  It will be helpful for luggage and older folks / wheelchairs etc.  All in all, it was a decent stay.  Price was competitive but cleanliness could be better - and air-con/shower heads can be better maintained.

The hotel was good and the breakfast was decent as well. We stayed at level 8, which we were told is one of the newly renovated floors, along with Level 7. However, the room service team did not respond to our request. We left a note on the table requesting room slippers before heading to work in the morning, but the request was not attended to. Nevertheless, the hotel receptionist was very responsive and promptly arranged for the room slippers to be delivered after we contacted them.

Located about 1km from Concubine Lane and it has a basement carpark (free). Comfy bed and pillows, with strong AC and good shower water pressure. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. Staff were friendly as well. Overall decent for the price.

Stayed there after a long and exhausting event. I chose it primarily as a place to shower, rest, sleep and write some reports, and it served that purpose well. Booking was a breeze, and the hotel is very easy to locate. They use a self-check-in kiosk which is quite straightforward, but the staff didn't hesitate to step in and assist when needed. I stayed in a no window room. Because there’s no window, there was a slightly damp smell when I first walked in. Luckily, I brought my own room spray, so it wasn't an issue for me, but it's something to keep in mind. The air conditioning isn't incredibly strong. If you prefer a freezing room, you might struggle, but as someone who isn't a huge fan of intense AC, it was perfectly acceptable to me. Also, the floors are mosaic tiles (no carpet), so I highly recommend bringing your own indoor slippers. On the bright side, the water pressure and hot water in the shower were excellent. There were also more than enough electrical sockets for two people to charge their devices. I didn't use the Wi-Fi, so I can't comment on that. There are water dispenser and iron with board at the corridor on my floor (3rd floor) While the hotel is surrounded by plenty of local restaurants, I opted to order GrabFood because I was too tired. It was super easy, I just asked the rider to leave the food at the lobby. Service: The staff on both the day and night shifts were incredibly helpful and friendly. They genuinely made the place feel welcoming, almost like home. Important Tip on Deposit: Make sure to bring RM50 cash for the security deposit. You can use a card, but the reception mentioned it takes a few days for the bank to release the refund, so cash is much more convenient. Overall, it’s a simple, no-frills hotel. If you just need a budget-friendly place to crash after a tiring day, it does the job. Thank you to the kind staff for looking after me!

Worth the price you pay! Great location, just beside the highway. Everything is clean, aircond was functioning well, the room is nice. It’s just that the small fridge is not functioning and the water pressure is kinda slow. But I don’t really mind. The front desk was also nice. I will reconsider staying at this hotel again for a short staycation.
