"The hotel is comfortable and clean, and it is quite quiet. The location is a bit far from the ancient city, but the taxi is not expensive. You can get to the ancient city for 20 yuan. The surrounding facilities of the hotel are also quite complete, there is a big supermarket, and McDonald's."

The sink was stylish, the lighting was great, there was a dresser, and the breakfast was delicious! They also looked after my luggage after checkout, and when I had some time to wait for my taxi in the evening and was wondering what to do, they let me wait in the entrance hall for a long time. "We were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Volubilis. We hesitated to book the hotel because of some bad reviews about not having hot water and the staff being unfriendly (especially to Asians). But we decided to book anyways because of its location and quite affordable price. We were arriving to Fez at around 5pm, and we were told staying at the Medina wouldn't be worth it. Since we were catching a flight the next morning, we thought it would be more convenient to stay in the new city. So, despite some of the bad reviews, we decided to spend the night at Hotel Volubilis. Its location turned out to be great. It's right at the center and by the main avenue. There are lots of places to eat at walking distance and there are several Carrefours closeby also at walking distance. The staff was nice and they welcomed us well and took our request for a taxi to the airport in the morning. So, we have no complaints about the staff. Our room was big with a terrace. The room was old but clean. The terrace had no table or chairs, but it was okay. The bathroom was also big and we had no issues with the hot water. We showered at arrival and in the morning and water was hot and with pressure. The thing that we missed the most in the room was a fridge. Other than that, all good and acceptable. Though we agree with the other comments saying that this is not a 4-star hotel by ”global” standards."
