"An absolutely fantastic vacation experience! First off, the hotel's location is super convenient. You can get here directly from the airport by limousine bus or OAS, and from the moment I stepped off the bus, the welcome was impeccable. I didn't have to touch my luggage once the entire time. The front desk staff were lovely and explained everything thoroughly, and my room assignment was excellent. My room was spacious with an incredible ocean view. I fell asleep and woke up every day to the sound of the waves. Pulling back the curtains revealed a 'jellyfish sea' – it truly felt like my ideal life. Plus, there's a bathtub in the room, and bath salts were replenished daily, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. I also have to rave about the hotel breakfast. You can scan a QR code to join the queue, and then head to the restaurant when it's almost your turn – so convenient. Both days I chose the buffet restaurant; the variety was great, and the ingredients were fresh. Enjoying breakfast while looking out at the ocean was an absolutely perfect experience. Overall, highly recommended!"

"The room felt very spacious (advertised as 30 sq. m, likely the actual usable area), and there were a table and chairs on the balcony. The hotel has an excellent location, facing the sea with a fantastic beach on one side, and a main road on the other, very close to a bus stop. There's a Family Mart convenience store just over a hundred meters away. The airport shuttle (blue line) goes directly to the hotel lobby entrance. It's a large hotel with various shops and a children's playground, typical of a resort."

"This was exactly the kind of vacation room I was dreaming of! It had a balcony with an unobstructed, breathtaking ocean view, perfectly complemented by the stunning Okinawa blue – so relaxing. The bathroom wasn't huge, but it had a comfortable bathtub, and the toilet was in a separate room. The large public bath in the basement was bright and clean; just remember to bring your own towel. The front desk staff included a lovely lady from Taiwan, so communication was no problem. Parking is free, and there's a convenience store nearby, just a five-minute drive away."

"I used to stay near Cape Manza whenever I visited Okinawa, but this time I wanted to try a different beach, so I booked the Moon Beach Hotel. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very well-maintained and quite nice. The room was surprisingly spacious. I didn't book a sea-view room, but if you have the option, definitely go for it – it's absolutely worth it! For breakfast, there are two choices: a Japanese set meal or a more standard Western-style buffet. The room key is quite unique; it's shaped like a seahorse. On the ground floor, there's a shop selling beachwear, which is a good option if you haven't brought any. Eating out near the hotel is very convenient, with plenty of options. There are also many diving schools and car rental places nearby. Some diving schools even offer Chinese-speaking services, so it's worth checking out if you're interested. I'll definitely be back next year! 🤩🥳"

"Had the pleasure of staying at this property for four nights and was impressed by the overall quality of the experience. The system of collecting a queue number before lining up was efficient and ensured a smooth dining experience. Evenings were made memorable by the hotel’s stunning sunset views. Watching the sky transition into vibrant hues from the property was a truly special experience that added to the charm of the stay. "This hotel is motel style kind of resort with private beach, expensive but cheaper than the other similar hotels in the Onna area which are also by the beach. I had a ground floor room so didn't have a view (garden view) but if you stay in the upper levels you should get a view of the ocean and beach. The beach is just a few minute walk behind the hotel, and is a small secluded beach with a little reef and is quite lovely. The rooms are spacious and clean, the decor is dated though. Each room has a patio. You can buy snorkelling gear from the small lobby, and there is a small hotel restaurant which serves decent buffet breakfast. I chose this hotel because of the price and also it is close to Cape Maeda where the blue cave is, but you can also do a little snorkelling at the private beach too. It is more convenient to drive there, but they charge 100 yen a day for parking."

"Booked this hotel through Trip.com. It's incredibly convenient as the limousine bus stops right at the hotel entrance. The hotel is situated between the Hotel Monterey and the Sheraton, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are incredibly spacious – all suites with two bedrooms, roughly 70 square meters, plus a large terrace of about 10 square meters. Every room offers a direct sea view. Although the hotel is separated from the beach by a road, it's just a short walk across to the sand. The beach is uncrowded, and under the sunlight, you can clearly see the distinct layers of the 'jellyfish sea,' which is absolutely stunning. For breakfast, there are two choices: Western and Japanese, though the variety isn't extensive. There's a FamilyMart convenience store next door, making it easy to grab essentials. It's the perfect place to just relax and unwind, gaze at the sea, and collect hermit crabs – a truly a fantastic vacation spot."

"Pros: 1. The hotel is close to the Cape Manza scenic spot, with many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. 2. The hotel offers a wide range of water activities, including but not limited to banana boats, jet skis, an inflatable water park, glass-bottom boats, and sunset cruises. If you're not planning on visiting the outer islands, you could easily spend a whole afternoon here. Cons: 1. The hotel is a bit old. The lobby has no air conditioning 🥵, and the room decor and furnishings feel dated. The shower pressure in the bathroom 🚿 isn't great either. 2. The outdoor pool closes at 6 PM, and the beach only stays open until 5 PM. I won't even mention other times, but Okinawa right now is scorching hot and sunny. The only time you can really enjoy the pool or ocean without getting baked is closer to sunset (unless you don't mind the sun, then never mind what I said). But then you only get to play for a short while before you have to leave!! 😅"

Halekulani Okinawa stands out for both its significant strengths and weaknesses. **Pros:** (1) As a newly built hotel, the facilities are much newer than other hotels. (2) Although the restaurant prices are noticeably higher than other hotels, the quality of both the buffet and à la carte restaurants, and even room service, is excellent and worth the price. (3) The service is very good. If you're taking public transportation when checking out, they'll even provide a car to take you to the station. (4) If you skip breakfast, you can change it to lunch, which is convenient for those who like to sleep in. **Cons:** This seems to be a common issue with Western hotel brands. Halekulani Okinawa, along with two other Hilton hotels here, shares the following problems. I believe this might stem from differences in Western brands' operational philosophies. However, for a hotel like Halekulani, which costs more than double other ocean-view hotels, these shortcomings are quite unacceptable. (1) The hotel lacks a well-stocked convenience store and souvenir shop. Other Japanese-owned ocean-view resort hotels usually have one or two such stores with a wide variety of items. Here, there's only one shop selling some Halekulani branded merchandise and a very limited selection of ”eco-friendly, natural” snacks, with hardly any beverages. If you want something to eat, you have to walk a few hundred meters outside the hotel to a chain convenience store. (2) The mini-bar drinks in the room are chargeable, and the prices are 4-5 times higher than at outside convenience stores. Considering this hotel is 2-3 times more expensive than others, and many other hotels often offer free mini-bars, this difference is quite significant. The main issue is the lack of an internal convenience store, forcing guests to frequently go out to a convenience store a few hundred meters away for a wider selection of drinks and snacks. Not to mention, it's truly unpleasant to go out when it's rainy or windy. For someone like me who enjoys staying at a comfortable and convenient hotel for several days or even a week, it's hard to stay long if a resort can't meet all my needs in one place. (3) The price for the self-service laundry and dryer (700/800 JPY) is also about three times higher than at other local ocean-view hotels (200/300 JPY). While the hotel's price is more than double that of others, the convenience and comfort aren't significantly higher (aside from newer facilities). Coupled with a mini-bar and self-service laundry that are several times more expensive, and the need to go outside to buy necessities due to the lack of an on-site convenience store, it feels like they're trying too hard to squeeze every penny. It's more suitable for a short, 'check-the-box' experience rather than a prolonged, relaxing stay. The quality of the seawater is also just average compared to hotels in Onna Village and Cape Zanpa.

GGuest UserThis was the second hotel we stayed at in Okinawa, and we were there for three nights. Since it was February, the outdoor facilities like the pool weren't open. The hotel felt relatively new and clean, but as soon as we entered the room, there was a strange smell, and the same smell was in the corridors and elevator. To me, it smelled like body odor… The first hotel we stayed at had a pleasant scent throughout, so it was really odd that this one had that body odor smell. Regarding the service: we were on a road trip. When we drove up, a staff member guided us to the parking lot and helped us unload our luggage. My husband went to park the car while I went to check in. As I was queuing for check-in, my husband came to find me after parking and asked why our suitcases were left outside the hotel entrance with no staff watching them. I was confused too because the staff member had given me a luggage tag, and I assumed he would handle our bags. Who knew he just left them outside the hotel entrance and disappeared? While queuing for check-in, I noticed others holding a piece of paper, and I wasn't sure if they picked it up themselves or if it was given by staff. When it was my turn, the front desk noticed I didn't have one and gave me a copy. It detailed the hotel's services, times, and other information. The buffet breakfast required scanning a QR code to make a reservation and usually involved a 30-minute wait. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive. During our four-day stay, only the young lady who showed us to our room on the first day had an excellent attitude – she spoke Mandarin, and I regret not asking her name. Another friendly staff member was the short, curly-haired gentleman who seated us at breakfast, and the old man driving the shuttle bus. The other staff members generally lacked a sense of service, and their attitudes were just average. The hotel itself is decent, but the overall service doesn't quite match up. It felt like we didn't encounter many Chinese guests here; perhaps it's a bit out of the way, making it more suitable for those traveling by car.

GGuest UserI was innocently to believe there are several swimming pools from the hotel photo, but was disappointed that there is only one (hotel mentioned they have 3, actually is the same one but with shallower water at both sides). We planned to swim and go outside in daytime and to enjoy the outdoor bath in our own terrace afterwards, but we found there were a lot of insects and flies at night, and we even not dare to open the terrace door to avoid the insects enter our room! The breakfast is a bit early to end at 10am. It is buffet style but not much good to eat. We only go for one day and find sth better to eat outside the rest of the days even though our room rate included breakfasts. But Aquasense is still a lovely hotel! The room is really spacious and there were three large comfortable beds. The fridge is a home-use size with freezer which seldomly found in most hotels, we can store icecream there and can eat anytime we want to. And the view from terrace is amazing and feel relaxed to stay in the room with lots of sofas! Lastly, I must mention about the fireworks! Hotels launch the fireworks specially for summer in July and Aug, we can enjoy the fireworks at our own terrace. We all loved it so much and it is really an unforgettable experience,

SSarah GraceWe stayed 5 nights at the Beach Resort Kalakaua in a Family Cottage. It was a good size for 2 friends and all of our diving equipment; comfortable, and spacious! The room was clean, and we were given enough towels and toiletries to last 5 days. The location was walking distance to the beach, a few restaurants, and right by the 7-11 which was super handy. We had a lovely stay, but wished that there was somewhere we could hang our wet swimsuits and diving gear, either inside or outside the cabin.

TTezpezMy boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Ocean Resort PMC. The location is convenient if you have diving plans, with the diving drop-off point right next to the hotel. There's also a surf and diving shop and school below where you can ask about lessons and equipment. Although we had already booked our diving elsewhere, it was just an 8-minute drive away, and they even drove us back to the hotel, which was a bit amusing. Overall, the stay was fair, but there are a few things to note. After 11 AM, the elevator is not available, and the parking lot is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. However, there's a 24/7 convenience store just across the street, which is very handy. The ground floor has a washing machine that all guests can use. After 11 PM, you have to use the stairs, which can be a bit scary as there's no light. The hotel has a kitchen, but it lacks basic utensils. For the price, I felt like I could have picked somewhere better, but the location and amenities were decent enough for our needs.

Only two bright white overhead lights that cannot be dimmed, plus a single lamp on the nightstand that must be unplugged in order to plug in anything else near the beds, which are uncomfortable and creaky. Futon sets in the Japanese/Western room can only be used “with permission” and at an additional charge. Mini fridge sits on top of a baking sheet. Security latch for door does not have a corresponding part and is therefore is useless.
