Guest UserThere's really nothing to complain about. The location is excellent, and it's the only hostel in Como that has air conditioning! I was so relieved. The kitchen is huge, and they even provide free vegetables and pasta. It's a bit on the expensive side, so I strategically chose to stay on a Wednesday, which was the cheapest day. Just a heads up, Thursday to Saturday rates are quite high.

Guest UserOne of the best experiences we had with our twice annual travel destinations. The RentComo location was in the heart of the city, nestled in one of the quaint shopping streets, and walking distance to all the typical tourist stops. Very nice going back to the apartment each evening, opening the windows and listening to the tourists and locals finishing their shopping or going for dinner. Very nice apartment with all the comforts; so much more relaxing than the standard hotel room stay.

The soundproofing and bed are better than 99% of the hotels I have stayed in. Small details such as the coffee machine kettle is not clean enough, the TV remote control battery is insufficient, and it is easy to splash water when washing your face (the washbasin is a little short), but these are not enough to cover up the advantages. Because the soundproofing and bed are the hard core strength of the hotel.
This hotel has both the warmth of a family hotel and the quality of a group hotel.

The hotel is located in an industrial area, about a 10-15 minute drive from the center of Como. The establishment is new, clean, with modern and well-maintained facilities. There's a clear ambition to aim for a higher standard, perhaps even a 5-star rating, according to the manager. Unfortunately, some practices completely contradict this ambition.
Parking costs €18 per day, which seems excessive given the location outside the city center and the availability of a large free parking lot for other users (particularly padel players). This gives the impression that hotel guests are being penalized without good reason.
Breakfast is very limited for a hotel of this caliber: the buffet is incomplete, some dishes are extra and must be ordered separately, and there wasn't even orange juice, either on the buffet or the menu—only water and milk. This falls far short of 4- or 5-star standards.
The coffee capsules in the room cost €1.50, which is surprising and disappointing for an establishment that claims to offer high-end service. In the vast majority of 4- or 5-star hotels, this kind of service is included. It gives an impression of pettiness, contradicting the image the hotel tries to project.
The most disturbing point: staff entered my room in the evening, without warning, to perform a ”cleaning service.” I hadn't requested anything, and I noticed that some of my belongings had been moved. I don't like it when someone enters my room without my explicit permission or without informing me beforehand. This made me very uncomfortable. While evening housekeeping might be a service appreciated by some, it must be clearly announced or requested.
I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager. Instead of listening to my comments, he responded condescendingly, implying that I wasn't ”used to staying in 5-star hotels” and that this kind of behavior was, in his opinion, perfectly normal. A haughty and inappropriate response, far removed from the hospitality and professionalism expected in this type of establishment. As compensation, the manager offered me a €1.50 coffee capsule.
I hope this review will help future guests get a more realistic view of this hotel. For my part, despite the quality of the facilities, I wouldn't recommend it. Customer service, attentiveness, and respect for privacy are simply not there.

The next day I stayed, I changed the new room, this room is also very good, that is, there is no towel rod on the side of the sink, which is a bit inconvenient. In addition, although the breakfast is exquisite, it does not change the way. If you live for a lot of days, it will be boring.

✨ Hotel Review – Lake Como (Hilton Lake Como)
Hilton Lake Como
The hotel is absolutely beautiful 🤍 — modern with a stylish Italian design throughout, from the lobby to the rooms. Everything feels new, clean, and thoughtfully designed.
The room was a highlight — spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable. All the basic amenities were well provided, making the stay easy and relaxing.
One of the best parts is the rooftop swimming pool — stunning views, great atmosphere, and perfect for photos, especially around sunset 🌅
👉 One downside to note:
The location is a bit far from Como city center.
* There is a bus stop near the hotel, but buses can be unreliable and not always on time
* Walking to the center is about 1–2 km, doable but not ideal (especially with kids or elderly travelers)
💡 Overall:
Perfect for a relaxing stay in a beautiful, design-focused hotel. Best if you’re planning to use taxis or have a car, rather than relying on public transportation.

The hotel was clean and very well maintained. The bed was great and comfortable. We had the room in the attic. I would say it’s slightly less than what I would have expected for the price given that we didn’t have any windows looking out.
The location was fantastic. Super close to the lake and really nice restaurants. Furthermore, the train station was also a 5 minute walk away should you need it.
Would’ve been nice if the breakfast was included and/or reasonably priced.

I stayed here for one night before traveling to Lake Como and Milan.
The facilities were excellent and breakfast was included. The lake was also close by.
Overall, I had a great day! I'll come again!

Sandy PoohThe location itself is convenient, but unfortunately the overall experience didn’t match the price point. At check‑in, the staff was friendly and warm — and that was honestly the best part of the stay. The property is more like an Airbnb with no reception. The staff provided us basic information through WhatsApp. Although the name hotel is misleading and the Airbnb type style is not what we expected, the arrangement works fine with us.
The room felt dated and didn’t give the impression of being properly clean. Even small details, like the towels, were disappointing; they didn’t seem fully dry and the quality was lacking.
Breakfast was another letdown. We weren’t aware beforehand that it wasn’t served on‑site but instead at a café about a four‑minute walk away. While this might be fine on a sunny morning, during our stay it was raining in Como, and having to go outside just to get breakfast was far from ideal.
Overall, Convo Lake Como feels overpriced for what it offers. Between the dated rooms, lack of on‑site breakfast, and underwhelming amenities, I believe there are better choices in the area that provide more comfort and value for the same or even lower cost.

The location is really good and the boss is friendly.
Basically, water, tea, coffee, towels and soap are ready, but you have to bring shampoo and other shower supplies!
There is a restaurant under the hostel and very close to the lake!
