"Dongjiang Lake is perfect for a relaxing trip. My friend and I compared several hotels before choosing this one, and its amenities and cleanliness perfectly met our expectations. We arrived quite late in the afternoon, and the owner, a truly wonderful and hospitable man, welcomed us as if we were family. I have to commend his excellent service! 👍 The room's floor was incredibly clean – a real treat for someone who loves walking barefoot. The room had absolutely no strange odors and the air felt very fresh. It even had a fresh air and dehumidification system, and surprisingly, their fresh air system is the same brand as mine at home, meaning both incoming and outgoing air are purified. The duvet was very dry, and all the towels and bath towels were disposable, even the toothbrush cups! You absolutely must try their shampoo; I loved it so much I bought a set from the owner to take home – it's really high-quality! We slept in quite late, completely oblivious to the time, thanks to the incredibly comfortable mattress – it turns out it's a Mousse mattress! Crucially, the soundproofing in this place is superb. Even though there's a walkway right downstairs, we couldn't hear a thing. The scenic area is just a short walk from the hotel's downstairs pathway. We didn't get to visit it, though, haha. The hotel is located right by the river, so you can enjoy the misty views from your room, and even from the hotel lobby. I travel many times a year and have a fair bit of experience choosing hotels. Lantingshu is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, and its facilities and amenities are the best I've encountered. It's truly a high-quality establishment. Trust me, you won't regret staying here!"

There's a park right next door with a large lake and beautiful scenery. Ctrip provided breakfast, but it was only for one person. The hotel even offers free Hanfu and oil-paper umbrellas! Just standing by the pavilion, you can take stunning ancient-style photos without any filters 📸 The public areas are full of surprises: you can cozy up in the sunlit book bar all afternoon, the stargazing bar lets you see the Milky Way at night, and the pool seamlessly connects with Dongjiang Lake, making swimming feel like floating in a landscape painting. Pulling back the curtains instantly cures you with a 180° lake view, and the tea table by the window is perfect for daydreaming. After eating, it's a 5-minute drive to the Dongjiang Lake scenic area, super convenient for seeing the misty Lesser Dongjiang. If you don't want to rush your itinerary, taking a stroll along the hotel's riverside path also gives you a high chance of encountering the morning mist. I've also dug up some nearby activities for you! Go to Gaoyiling during the day to see the red Danxia landforms, enjoy the lake breeze at Bailang Scenic Area in the afternoon, and return to the hotel in the evening for fresh salmon sashimi that melts in your mouth 🐟 Staying here makes you truly understand what 'vacation' means. "I highly recommend this guesthouse by Dongjiang Lake! The overall design is fantastic, and the aesthetic appeal is off the charts. "The view was decent, the room was relatively clean, and they provided fruit. However, at around 6 AM, there was no mist over the river from the room, and the second-floor common area was unbearably hot without air conditioning. The layout to the rooms was inefficient; the stairs and elevator weren't connected, and I was locked out after dinner. The soundproofing was poor; I could hear water running upstairs. The air conditioning wasn't working properly; even at 18 degrees Celsius with a thin blanket, I was still sweating profusely. This guesthouse is located inside a residential complex, and access requires a facial recognition scan from the owner, making it very inconvenient for those without a car. In short, it's definitely not worth the price. The cheapest room has no view and is extremely small, while the larger rooms suffer from all the aforementioned inconveniences."

"We booked a family room for a few friends who wanted to stay together. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the scenic area and has a swimming pool and a tea room, which is perfect for groups to hang out, chat, and play cards. The air quality and environment are excellent. The staff shared tips for dining, entertainment, and sightseeing, and helped us buy discounted tickets for the attractions, which was very convenient and saved us money. To see the morning mist at Dongjiang Lake, you have to get up early, and staying close by saved us 1-2 hours of waking up early. Plus, it's convenient to get anywhere from here.
