"This stay truly understands families with children! The hotel's location is absolutely perfect, right in the city center. Shopping and dining are right at your doorstep, so there's no need to waste time traveling. The room has a full cartoon theme, with adorable cartoon stickers on the walls and even animal-shaped throw pillows. My child was so excited they started jumping as soon as we entered the room, no need to even try to entertain them. The most pleasant surprise was the window view. Opening the window, you can see the bustling city center streetscape. During the day, you watch the traffic flow, and at night, the city lights sparkle. Every photo taken is beautiful. Plus, we were given fresh welcome fruits upon check-in, along with authentic Qinghai yogurt – sour, sweet, and refreshing. The attention to detail is just incredible. Staying here with kids is totally worth it!"

"The location of the hotel I booked this time was excellent. During check-in, the front desk staff, 'Xiao 6,' was incredibly efficient and provided very detailed information about local attractions. Right opposite the hotel, there's a 'Gá Zhāng Wá' BBQ restaurant which tasted delicious. You'll also find malls, supermarkets, and places to buy local specialties conveniently nearby; just a 5 to 10-minute walk straight after turning left from the hotel. The nearest small night market is also only about a 15-minute walk away and is quite bustling. The room's hygiene was satisfactory; it was quiet and comfortable, and the bedding was clean and tidy. The comfort level was decent. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options in a buffet style, allowing us to taste local specialties, which were very tasty – though it did get quite crowded. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant experience overall, especially since we were traveling with family. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area and visiting nearby tourist spots."

"I picked this hotel based on online recommendations. Facilities: Decent, and fairly comprehensive. However, the bathroom amenities were a bit basic – only a toothbrush and toothpaste were provided. There was no comb, shower cap, or disposable toilet seat cover. While I don't particularly mind the absence of a comb, I do think a shower cap and toilet seat cover are essential items that should be supplied. Cleanliness: Generally quite clean. Though I did notice some hair/dust when wiping surfaces with a wet wipe, it was acceptable overall. Location: Excellent, right next to the train station. Xining Station is less than a 10-minute walk away, which is incredibly convenient. It's surprisingly quiet despite being in a busy area, thanks to being on a high floor. I can only imagine how noisy the lower floors of the adjacent Quanji Hotel would be. Service: Acceptable. The laundry room setup could be improved; I'd suggest adding another dryer. Although there's no air conditioning, a small electric fan was provided, which was perfectly fine. They also have a humidifier. What's more, the room was incredibly spacious, and the generous 1.35m wide bed was a definite plus! The bedding quality was excellent, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. Free TV was also a welcome bonus. Breakfast was decent, and the yogurt was especially delicious."

"Room was spacious but somewhat worn, with minor stained bedding, dingy shower floor and a very old water kettle. Location was excellent, very central in an older part of city, though a bit noisy with traffic. Hotel has washing machines but no dryer, which i was not told at check-in even though i asked specifically about them. Most of the staff seemed distant. Breakfast was quite good."

"My friend recommended this hotel, and they were absolutely right! Not only is it very new, but the service is also excellent [strong]. It was a pleasant surprise! The rooms are spacious and all very new. The suites even have smart toilets, which is a great touch. I was a bit lazy and didn't want to go buy cigarettes, so I called the concierge, and a bellhop immediately brought them up to my room. The service couldn't have been better! The sleep-aid music in the room was fantastic; it was very comfortable to fall asleep to. The mall is also very close by, so having shopping, dining, and accommodation all in one place is really convenient, haha."

"I will start off by saying that the room and bathroom were well appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. However, whilst the room was generally clean, when I dropped something that subsequently rolled under a fitted unit, I was pretty disgusted to see the dust and filth beneath it. It clearly had not been cleaned for…well…ever? I appreciate that these areas will not be as clean as the more visible parts of the room, however for a five star hotel, this is unacceptable. I do not expect to find dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust and dirt anywhere in my hotel room. But by far the absolute worst part of my stay was the inability to control the temperature in the room whatsoever. The room was so swelteringly hot that despite the comfortable bed, and everything to go with it, I was almost unable to sleep at all. I do not expect this in a five star hotel(and have never experienced it other than here and at anther Wanda hotel in Hohhot), I pay for luxury; controlling the room temperature is a basic requirement that I can even do in a 50 yuan a night hostel dorm. When I asked the staff at reception the following morning I was told the AC wouldn’t be available until after April 15th because ‘it’s cold outside’. Firstly, I am not sleeping outside, I am sleeping inside, on the 22nd floor, where it is anything but cold. Not to mention it was April, not January, even in Xining it is not that cold. Secondly, as a paying guest, in a five star hotel, it should be up to me to decide if it is hot or cold, not the hotel. For this reason, as lovely as the room, staff and breakfast may have been, I would not stay here again. I checked out and moved to the lower rated Hilton, where I could control the room temperature and actually managed to sleep…generally what the whole point of a hotel is."

"I came from Dongying and was familiar with the local Blue Sea environment. It's hard to describe what I found when I came to Xining Blue Sea. It used to be such a good hotel, but for some reasons it's incomparable to before. The hotel staff still provides services of a five-star hotel, but the hotel is probably understaffed and the facilities are really outdated. There is not even hot water all day long, and at night the hot water is a bit cold, with low water pressure, which is really bad in the winter."

The room is warmly decorated, the bedding is soft, and the facilities are brand new, so it is super safe to live in. The hotel gym is fully equipped to meet different fitness needs, and there is no pressure after exercise. Breakfast is a highlight, with rich variety and great taste, which can start a full day. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful, and any problems can be solved in time. This stay experience is great, and I will choose here again when I come to Xining in the future! HHenrionDourcyThis is honestly the best deal in town. I have been coming to Xining for 10 years, stayed in different hotels each time. This is for sure my favourite one and the best deal in this range of prices. First, the location. Right in the city centre, with a lot of taxis coming by (this can be an issue for hotels in other locations, where taxis are more rare). It is super convenient and one can reach any part of town efficiently and quickly. There are many buses that go from here to anywhere in town. Second, the quality of the room, of the bed (super super cosy and comfortable, which is really nice after travelling roughly for two weeks in the nearby countryside), the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Very good hygiene products, not cheap toothpaste and soap like in other hotels. Third, and most importantly, the quality and warmth of the service. At the reception, the employees are very friendly and understanding, very warm-hearted, You feel really welcome in this hotel. They have helped me in several ways. especially Mrs Jane and Mrs Sunny Bai: fantastic people! They also speak English! Makes the whole stay memorable, enjoyable, relaxing. I will surely come back here next time. This is an upper-tier hotel made available with affordable prices. Thank you!

GGuest UserThe location is wonderful if you need the train, as it is literally just outside the train station, less than 10 minutes' walking from your train. We needed the day room to rest between the morning and evening trains, and it works well for us. However, there are some issues we did not like. 1. We booked and paid through Trip, but at the receipton (we checked in early, which was great!) the receiptionst requested 100 rmb, which he said was a deposit that must be paid on the spot, and will be refunded in the morning. This was suspicious to us because nothing of this sort was stated on Trip, and no other bookings in China we made through Trip ever required any deposits, even less so in cash. When I showed him the original booking and payment, and insisted that we are only taking the room for the day, he stopped insisting on the ”deposit.” 2. The room used to be very nice, indeed, and preserves some of that niceness still: the bed is wonderful, with crispy linen, multiple different pillows, and very clean. the bathroom is nicely decorated and contained basic amenities, and the storage space is wonderful and spacious. However, like in some other Chinese hotels we stayed, the indicators of maintenance are the shower and the carpeting. In this room, the bed is super clean, but the bathroom and carpeting are either poorly cleaned, or not at all. We found hair and even a wrapping in the shower, while the carpeting in the room, elevator, and corridors was not cleaned in a long time. And yet, there are some such nice touches in this room, like the living creeper placed in a small vase in the bathroom, or the very nice wardrobe. The room is currently missing a fridge (although there is space for it), and it has not AC, although the corridors are cooled well. Instead, there is a fan, which in the afternoon heat barely helped.
