"It's very close to Labrang Monastery. The homestay is in a hutong. The ******* style atmosphere is full when entering the homestay. The children love it. The owner is warm and thoughtful and helped with the luggage. In the morning, milk tea and butter breakfast were prepared. The restaurant recommended for dinner was economical and delicious. There were no disappointments. Highly recommended 👍"

"Very nice staff and extremely close to the monastery entrance without the noise being too bad, tucked round a corner off the main drag.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable - the only issue we had was no hot water for the first night/ morning - after we spoke to the lady at reception it was fine for the remainder of our stay.
The bar area is nice, we didn't try the food but very cosy for drinks."

"I had a wonderful stay at ******* Family in Labrang. The host is fantastic – he speaks good English, organizes transfers, and even came to pick me up at the station. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the monastery and from a quiet entrance away from the crowds. He gives plenty of useful advice, and the rooms are clean and warm, even in the summer season. Breakfast is simple but good. Everything was positive – the host truly makes the place special"

"This guesthouse has a lot of local character, and the rooms are decorated very warmly and kept very clean. It's also quiet at night. It's not far from Labrang Monastery, and you can walk there, which perfectly helps you avoid traffic.
The owners are wonderful people, and our family of three had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you for your warm hospitality; we truly felt at home ❤️"

"The scenery at Sangke Grassland is absolutely stunning! The Xiahe Yano Sangke International Camping Park is perfectly located; you open your door to an endless expanse of grassland, with blue skies and white clouds complementing the distant mountains. Every photo you take looks like a professional shot. The tent facilities are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the en-suite bathrooms are very well maintained. The staff are warm and attentive, promptly responding to any needs. In the evening, the prairie breeze is wonderfully refreshing. It's a truly immersive experience to enjoy the night on the grassland, far from the city's hustle and bustle. The food is also delicious, with fresh ingredients. Overall, it’s a perfect experience. "The room was small and poorly soundproofed; you could hear your neighbors talking. The toilet seat had fallen off, and there was no hairdryer in the room, making it inconvenient to wash your hair. The only downside was the beautiful courtyard, where you could relax in the evenings. Definitely avoid the restaurant next door!"

GGuest UserWe absolutely loved our stay at 山古民宿 Shangu Homestay. The room was spacious, well presented in ******* style, and kept wonderfully warm with underfloor heating. The window-side lounge area was so cozy that we didn’t want to leave after three nights. Dinner was a highlight—the ******* hotpot was delicious, with fresh yak meat, vegetables, and noodles. Breakfast included fruit, ******* butter tea, and tsampa, giving us a real taste of local traditions.
The host was incredibly welcoming and shared fascinating stories about ******* culture, nomadic life, and even how to make incense. During our stay, it snowed heavily, and our children had a fantastic time playing in the snow with the host. It was not just accommodation, but a cultural journey filled with warmth and unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserUpon arrival, the owner informed us that since our car was parked by the roadside, our luggage would be brought in by tricycle. My family had a few initial concerns, but the moment they stepped into the guesthouse, all their doubts vanished! We were all traveling with young children, and the beds were spacious, comfortable, and spotless. The absolute highlight was the ground floor common area. After dinner, guests would gather there to chat and play cards. This was by far our favorite hotel of the entire Gannan trip. The breakfast the next morning was also very generous. The owner and his wife were incredibly warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate; it rained on the afternoon we arrived, preventing us from relaxing on the third-floor rooftop terrace to enjoy the views.

HhelloyeppTibetan-style homestay, the picture is taken with the original camera without filter. I like this style very much. It was designed by someone with a certain aesthetic taste.
The service at the B&B was very enthusiastic. We arrived very late due to traffic jam on May Day. The girl from the B&B came out to pick us up. The yak beef hotpot was already prepared on the table, and she waited for us to finish eating. We were also given a free upgrade to a suite.
The ******* breakfast the next morning was very unique. There was also a cat cafe in the B&B. The barley coffee was both beautiful and delicious. The cats were also very cute, with two very adorable kittens. The baby likes playing with the cat all the time. Thank you for tolerating this naughty child.
Before leaving, she gave us handmade sachets and specifically told us to take good care of the children.
Will definitely recommend to friends.

However, please note that the name of the hotel name is “Samphel Dhondup Hotel”, and it is located near the southern corner of 腾志路, Tengzhi Road, near the Monastery Ticket Centre and the river. This was confusing upon arrival.
The heated floors were extremely hot, and not able to be turned off. Our room was a sauna, despite being -4°c outside (we had our window open the whole time). Hopefully this can be fixed. Breakfast was small but we were here during the offseason.

GGuest UserThe B&B makes people who are away from home feel like they are back home, with delicious dishes and a warm and homely environment. You can see the misty mountains and the strange rain in the surrounding area. You can also drink tea and rest in the lobby. It is not far from the scenic area and there is a parking lot at the door. It is worth it for those who go out!

Hygiene: Because it is a newly opened B&B, there are only the proprietress and her husband, so they are probably too busy, and the beds are not changed in time.
Environment: The B&B has just been renovated. The decoration is very ethnic and the environment is very good.
Service: The lady boss is very nice. Because I brought Chinese medicine for my children that needed to be refrigerated, she enthusiastically helped me find a refrigerator to store it. She also helped us add a mattress to the room for two. The service was very enthusiastic.
Generally speaking, the boss is very nice and the service is very enthusiastic, but the hardware facilities need to be improved. One bathroom is really inconvenient, and the hygiene needs to be improved. Then there is the need to apply for tax invoices, as some guests need invoices.

I loved spending time in the third-floor library, filled with cultural artifacts, games, and books – you'll never get bored! The hospitality from the hotel staff is also unmatched. I stayed alone but never felt lonely. They take guests on walks around the city to discover ******* culture. I recommend staying here not only for the comfort of the hotel but also for the wonderfully warm atmosphere.

The hotel is right next to the entrance of the monastery and most rooms have a nice view of the lively main street and the mountains behind. The rooms also have built-in heating so the room is not cold during the colder months. The bed is very comfortable. Staff doesn’t always speak English but they are very friendly. The hotel is a little bit outdated, but I think it is one of the best places to stay in Xiahe because of the location and it offers everything you need.
