The hotel itself is also quiet at night. However, there are a few rather unique aspects: 1. There's a turnstile between the lobby and the elevators that requires a room card swipe. While swiping a room card for the elevator is common, having an additional turnstile like an office building is unusual and overly cumbersome. 2. The room layout is very unique; you have to 'search' for the toilet, shower, walk-in closet, and toiletries, as they are not immediately obvious. The closet door, when pulled out, directly blocks the entrance door. 3. A deposit is required upon check-in, though the refund process is quick. 4. For luggage storage, you need to scan a QR code yourself. It's free for up to 6 hours, and even if you exceed that, the front desk can still arrange free storage. 5. I stayed for two consecutive nights on two separate bookings. Even though I had called the night before to confirm a continuous stay without room cleaning or changes, the next day I couldn't open my door upstairs and had to go back to the front desk on the first floor to swipe my card again. I've had similar situations in Yantai where I could smoothly use my card for continuous check-in without this double process. Overall, the staff were very helpful, and they promptly contacted me when I left an item behind, which I greatly appreciated. However, the overall check-in experience felt less than user-friendly, with various cumbersome procedures. I'm not sure if this management style is typical for hotels in Weihai or just this particular one. It's not necessarily bad, just very different – I haven't encountered these specific situations anywhere else in the country."

It's located in Weihai's Xiaoshidao Scenic Area, right next to Huoju Bajie, with a beach nearby. It's a quiet retreat despite being in a popular area. I usually have high standards for accommodation and rarely stay in guesthouses, but I was generally quite satisfied with this one. Let's talk about the pros: the facilities are complete, with free snacks and drinks, good Wi-Fi, and a TV that supports screen mirroring. The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries are the popular Anaya brand, which has a very soothing scent. The shower pressure is excellent, and the guesthouse is very quiet at night. The environment is absolutely beautiful, and the service is also great. They actively greet guests and help with luggage, and even drive you to the parking lot after check-out. If you have any issues, you can contact the butler via WeChat, and they respond promptly and are very accommodating. Now for the cons: the guesthouse's location is a double-edged sword. Getting in and out by car can be quite congested. There are hardly any good restaurants near the surrounding attractions, so you'll need to drive a few kilometers for meals. Breakfast can get crowded and a bit chaotic. The hotel's entertainment facilities are quite limited, with only a small pool suitable for children and a coffee bar. From the hotel, you can easily reach Jiulong Bay Park with a minimum fare, which is great for kids to go crabbing and many locals also come here to pick clams. **Facilities:** The bedding is very comfortable, especially for someone like me who is particular about pillows – I was very satisfied. Other facilities are standard for this price point, including a swimming pool and a gym. The shallow end of the pool is 1.2 meters deep, and the water temperature is 28-29 degrees Celsius. **Hygiene:** The room felt very new, and the cleanliness was impeccable. Those with young children can rest assured. **Environment:** The hotel's interior is excellent. On our first day, it was very windy, and our child played in the lobby on the ground floor for half the day without getting bored. The exterior is a relatively quiet residential area. **Service:** They offer pick-up and drop-off service from Weihai Station, and there were welcome fruits. If there were concerns about the booking, they could have simply verified the information or identification. Both my mother's and my IDs were presented, clearly indicating who was checking in, so there was no need for such an offensive tone. I checked in around 3:55 PM, which is within the normal check-in window. However, when I inquired about upgrading to a sea-view room and the additional cost, the front desk refused, citing 'fully booked' and 'not yet cleaned.' It was 4:00 PM, and for a hotel this size to have no rooms available in numerous categories, yet the staff's attitude was unapologetic, was surprising. The room type I booked stated floors 6-26. I was assigned the 25th floor, which is within a reasonable range. However, the front desk agent mentioned it as if assigning the 25th floor was a special favor, which made me uncomfortable. Checking my Ctrip booking remarks, I had initially noted, 'If room availability permits, I would like to upgrade to a sea-view room,' and the hotel system showed 'Hotel agreed to arrange.' When I showed this to the front desk, the agent retorted, 'You can see it says 'if room availability permits,' and it's not available now!' The tone was harsh and sharp. That remark was my request, not something you wrote, so a normal explanation would suffice. Why be so aggressive? Honestly, none of these issues are major, and they could all be resolved with proper communication. However, this front desk agent acted as if he were the 'IHG Crown Prince,' exuding an 'take it or leave it' arrogance that was unacceptable. Consequently, I promptly contacted Ctrip to assist in canceling the second night, staying for only one night. Objectively, the room was spacious, but the minibar was completely empty. The welcome fruit wasn't delivered when I left around 6 PM, and since my luggage was already open and the 'Do Not Disturb' sign was on, I declined the hotel's call around 7 PM while I was still out dining. The hotel's location is quite far from the city center, with most dining and attractions concentrated around Xianghai. There are almost no amenities nearby, making it inconvenient for travel. I initially booked a Ctrip three-day, two-night package. Due to the extremely poor check-in experience, Ctrip coordinated to adjust my stay to one night at the day's actual price. Credit goes to the lady from the reservations department who helped me with my booking and the male front desk agent who assisted with my second check-in; their attitude was gentle, and their communication was smooth and professional. Without them, I would have rated the service at only one point. I hope that 'glasses man' at the front desk can learn proper five-star hotel customer service etiquette and professionalism from these two colleagues."

The hotel's location is fantastic; just across the road is the beach, and there's a foot-washing station downstairs. Torch 8th Street is right next door, which is super convenient. Since it gets crowded during the day, I went out at 5 AM to take photos, then came back up to sleep – that's the advantage of being so close, hehe 😁. Just a small suggestion though, maybe a thin mattress pad for the bunk beds? They're a bit hard now; even those who prefer firm beds found them a little too hard, hahahaha. Everything else was great! Because it's next to Torch 8th Street, it's bound to be busy. For parking, there are public spots right outside, just park wherever there's space. Usually, after 11 PM, there are plenty of empty spots on the street."
