"The location of this homestay could not be any better, right next to the ancient town and the birth house of the 7th Dalai Lama. It’s also only a short walk to the Litang Monastery. The host is friendly, helpful and communicative. Note that this is a true homestay with a large shared room for people to gather. The host invited us to ******* milk tea and drinks, which was lovely and stood out! Unfortunately, the rooms are quite dated and not very clean, with dust and hair from previous occupants on the floor and couch. The bathroom and toilet were also not clean, and there was a strong sewer smell in the bathroom. That said, the host did her best to remedy this and the price for the room was also more than fair!"

"After a whole day stuck in traffic on Route 318, we finally arrived in Litang late at night, dusty and tired. We booked the Hanting Hotel, and though the price was a bit high, it was totally worth it! First, when we checked in that night, they saw we weren't feeling well and, realizing it was altitude sickness, immediately gave us Coke to help. They didn't rush us at all, constantly telling us to take our time. When we asked for an extra blanket for the kids, they brought it right away. Their attitude was excellent. The breakfast was also delicious, and the lady working there was incredibly nice too. Everything was so thoughtful. The next morning, feeling better, I wanted to do some laundry. The front desk lady patiently guided me and answered all my questions. A huge shoutout to Ms. Ciden Zhima! She helped us solve so many problems and added a lot of pleasant experiences to our trip."

"The hotel room was clean and comfortable . It was really cold outside, but the heater could bring the temperature inside to over 30 degrees (too hot). The service was great, it was easy to check in and they helped us book transportation from Litang, and even made sure we got to our destination safe. We had a great time in Litang and would definitely recommend Zangbala Hotel!"

"First, I want to say that the service and environment of the establishment were excellent. Secondly, I didn't mention that I was a reviewer for the InterContinental Hotel. However, the service was excellent for everyone. Here are my suggestions: Facilities: The toilet had no water. There was no water to flush after using the toilet. I suggest the establishment repair this. Cleanliness: The cleaning lady may not have been thorough enough. The light switches were covered in dust. Diffuse oxygen supply: I suggest adding an indicator sticker to the machine. Service: The service was impeccable. We arrived quite late. The establishment was very attentive, waiting for us and even coming to meet us at the door to make sure we couldn't find it. They also asked if we needed any help with our luggage. My suggestion is to replace the toilet paper in the room with facial tissues. Currently, they use rolls, and when you pull them, the whole box falls to the floor."

"Fantastic! The owner was incredibly welcoming and even helped us with our luggage. Parking around the hotel isn't easy, but we contacted the owner in advance, and they kindly reserved a spot for us. The hotel's location is superb, right at the entrance of the ancient street, so we could enjoy the song and dance performances in the evening. The facilities are excellent, with an oxygen concentrator and a humidifier. We could even turn on the underfloor heating when it got chilly at night. My husband suffered from altitude sickness and a headache, and they even gave him two packets of medicine, which made him feel much better the next day. The courtyard is lovely with lots of greenery. The room wasn't huge, but its smaller size made the oxygen concentration and humidification very effective. The oxygen machine runs until after 6 AM the next day before it turns off. The landlady was very chatty, and we managed to understand her Tibetan-Mandarin mix with a little effort, haha."

"The room was very clean and spacious. We stayed in the standard room with two beds and the bed was very big. My daughter and I slept in a bed more than enough. The room had floor heating and diffuse feeding equipment. Don’t worry about sleeping well at high altitude. The hotel is in a good location, with snow mountains and grass outside the window. Just next to Ding Zhen's house, it is very convenient to go to the wild hot springs and feed the groundhog. By the way, the hotel has its own restaurant and has a Matsutake beef soup pot. We ate in the hotel restaurant during our stay. It tasted good and the boss was very enthusiastic. We also sent us three bottles of oxygen when we checked out. This stay was very good"

He's also a great cook and might even whip up a meal for you. If you're planning a trek, you can arrange transportation through him; it's 60 per person for a pick-up, and you won't have trouble finding companions for routes like the Pasture, C+V, or Glacier treks. After several days on Mount Genyen, a hot meal is pure bliss! If you're cold, he'll start a fire for you and check if you're experiencing altitude sickness. Overall, the facilities and service were subpar; it was the worst experience of all the stays I've had. The staff were chewing gum and not actively offering service. They only gave perfunctory answers to questions. The room was freezing cold when I entered, so I asked a staff member to come upstairs and turn on the underfloor heating. I woke up freezing in the middle of the night, only to find the floor was lukewarm when I touched it. I ended up sleeping until 6:30 AM wearing my coat. Speechless!

I recently had a very pleasant weekend at this hotel. The receptionist was beautiful and had a great attitude. The room was also very comfortable. It was my first time in a high-altitude area, and I experienced some altitude sickness. The receptionist was very patient and helpful in finding solutions for us. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially the staff on the night shift – they were fantastic!

The room was nice and clean, the beds are huge and very comfortable, and the people working there are friendly. This room had only shared bathroom which was a bit of a disadvantage, because it was used by quite a few people, and not all of them left it clean. But a big advantage was the hotel’s close proximity to the Lithang monastery, it had a great view to the monastery and stupa from the window. Altogether it was a pleasant experience.

We were able to get a ride from Yading to Litang via a carpool service, and the driver dropped us off directly at the hotel. The accommodation itself was well-equipped with underfloor heating and an oxygen concentrator. The owner, who is also a musician, spoke excellent English. In the evening, they lit a stove, and we could have enjoyed music and dancing with them, but we were too tired and went to bed early. They were incredibly kind, even preparing a PDF file with recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, which they shared with us on WeChat. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the Old Town, Baita Park, and King Gesar Square. For breakfast, the host's mother prepared a simple yet delicious meal of cherry tomatoes, corn, sweet potatoes, and mung bean porridge. My sister, who is a picky eater, found the mung bean porridge so tasty that she had two bowls! They even gave us a ride to the Litang bus terminal for our journey to Kangding. The host, a big fan of 'Running Man,' was truly the kindest. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer, as it rained on the day we arrived and the weather remained poor the next day. We had also accumulated fatigue from over six weeks of high-altitude travel, and the stay in Yading village brought on altitude sickness, which continued, compounded by the low atmospheric pressure due to the rain. Litang is a city at an altitude of 4000 meters. I really wanted to see Mount Genyen and visit Litang Temple, but due to the rain, I couldn't. If another opportunity arises in the autumn or May, this is a guesthouse I'd love to revisit.

The facilities are excellent, and the service is great. Oxygen is provided in the room from 5:30 PM to 8:00 AM every night, which was very comfortable, and I didn't experience altitude sickness. The room has heating, and the intensity is adjustable. The hotel is at an altitude of nearly 4000 meters. The breakfast selection is extensive, and the environment is superb. There is a Tesla Supercharger available! However, the oxygen supply is a bit noisy, so I recommend bringing earplugs.

The room was spacious, and there's an elevator for getting between floors. Breakfast was also good, and the location was easy to find. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The only downside was that when the hotel was full at night, the diffuse oxygen supply couldn't keep up.

The photo in the back mountain of the homestay is so beautiful...🥹🥹🥹🥹 It's almost ～～ The proprietress is very good. Seeing that we are cold, we are afraid that we will directly plug the hot tea oxygen generator without saying anything. We have ～ moved 🥹🥹 and electric blankets. The week here is very comfortable. ～ The burger and butter latte of the homestay are forced! ! ! There are a lot of meat stuffing, and the butter latte is very delicate. It is not comfortable to have a cup in this day.

Here, you can wake up to the golden sunlight on the mountains, spend the afternoon basking in the warm sun, drinking tea and relaxing, and in the evening, enjoy the gentle mountain breeze. It's a complete escape from city noise, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in nature. Big bonus point! The B&B owner is a super handsome guy with high颜值 (good looks).
