"We were transiting in Golmud. The hotel we booked at first was not very good, so we changed to Hilton. We just looked at the reviews and decided. We thought there would be no star-level hotels in Haixi Prefecture, but the Hilton in Golmud exceeded my expectations. The lobby reception breakfast and guest rooms are all five-star standards, with full marks for details. It is also one of the few hotels with air conditioning. Takeout can be delivered to the door. There is free parking in the underground garage. The breakfast is great. The front desk lady is also very beautiful. The bathroom sanitary ware is also high-standard Duravit and Grohe. The water flow is large and the water pressure is stable, the hot water is sufficient, and there is no sewer smell. The bedding is also very good, the usual King Koil series is comfortable and easy to sleep, which relieves the fatigue of the Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop. I will stay here again if I have the chance. Beautiful Haixi Prefecture, perfect Hilton."

"What started as a simple stopover on our trip turned out to be unexpectedly wonderful. The lobby immediately impressed us with its spaciousness and brightness, and the front desk staff were warm and incredibly attentive. Our room was spotlessly clean, and the mattress was so comfortable we got a truly restful sleep. A delightful surprise was finding both air conditioning and a humidifier, which was an incredibly thoughtful touch! One of the staff members even went above and beyond by helping us with our laundry, showing incredible thoughtfulness! The breakfast spread was also fantastic, offering a comprehensive selection including snacks, main dishes, cold and hot options, plus soy milk and milk – truly something for everyone. Highly, highly recommend! It truly stands out as one of the best memories from our entire trip."

"This is one of the better quality options in Golmud (there aren’t many). The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good. Unfortunately, the service was very poor - there were no functioning USB ports in the room and the hotel was unhelpful - seeming unwilling or unable able to offer a solution. The “room service” is actually takeaway food delivered from outside the hotel but no cutlery/chopsticks was provided with it. When we asked the hotel to provide some, it took nearly 20 minutes to arrive (longer than the food itself), by which time the food was getting cold. We had to ask repeatedly for sufficient drinking water, having only been provided two small bottles for two people. Aside from the poor service, the hotel is in an odd location, surrounding by closed shops and building sites - nowhere near the commercial centre of the city - with nothing within walking distance. With the right management, it could be an excellent hotel, but it’s not quite there at the moment."

"My stay at the Golmud Atour Hotel truly exceeded my expectations! What I want to praise the most is the soundproofing. Once the door is closed, it feels like I have my own private sanctuary. I couldn't hear any footsteps in the hallway or the elevator operating outside, so I slept incredibly soundly all night and woke up feeling refreshed and energetic the next day. Even more heartwarming was the hotel's proactive care. Before I even left, I received a warm reminder from the concierge, not only providing the hotel's exact location and nearby parking tips but also thoughtfully asking about my check-in preferences. When I arrived, the room's temperature had already been adjusted to my liking, and there was a welcome drink on the table. These little details really touched me. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Golmud!"

The housekeeping lady was very friendly and helpful. She even gave me an extra bottle of water and opened the door for me. "I have lived in too many hotels in the north and south, and this hotel really surprised me. In terms of facilities, diffuse oxygen supply and humidifiers greatly relieved physical discomfort. What touched me most was the warm service of all the staff of the hotel. Just arrived at the hotel entrance, the staff took the initiative to help with the luggage. The receptionist warmly and quickly handled the room card and upgraded the room for free. When I entered the room, there was a staff member to greet me. I casually said that my head was a bit uncomfortable, and I immediately brought Rhodiola Oral Liquid! The free supper provided was declined because I wanted to go out to eat, and then I quickly took a special snack! I said that yogurt is so delicious, and I immediately have to send 🤣 to check out the next morning. What surprised me was that the staff sent me four boxes of yogurt and a box of wolfberry! ! ! This treatment has not been encountered in many five-star hotels in the mainland! The sound insulation is good and the rest is very quiet at night. The staff is well-trained and the problem solving is efficient. The meeting room is well equipped and the business meeting is smooth. The surrounding environment is safe and convenient, and the restaurant tastes authentic. The drive from the airport is reasonable and the pick-up and drop-off service is on time. It is a quality choice for business accommodation in Golmud.

Two movie tickets were given when checking in, the breakfast was tasteful, and parking was convenient. Unfortunately, the hot water was not hot and the water output was too small. The guests staying in this hotel are generally big shots who travel along the Qinghai-Tibet line, and they need hot water to wash and relieve fatigue. This is a management loophole and shortcoming of the hotel!

GGuest UserAs a frequent traveler, I have stayed in more than 2000 hotels before, and I have never felt more genuine care than at the Tu An Hotel in Golmud: as I check in, the manager 韓月 (I believe she was the manager) noted that my lips were dry, and immediately told her staff to set up a moisturizer in my room. I chose this hotel because the airport bus departs from here; however, the information regarding the bus schedule was patchy. The hotel staff did not know what was the latest schedule, but all of them had been very helpful to try to help me with it - from the manager to the cleaning staff. All of this shows that this hotel cares for the guests.

So I didn't give a very low rating, if you don't have high requirements for the above situation, you can still try it.
