"Unfortunately, our stay coincided with heavy rainfall – reportedly the worst since the hotel opened. Due to the weather and general environment, there was a noticeable dampness and earthy smell in our room, and the lighting was dim. Oddly enough, this created a cozy atmosphere perfect for a rainy day, which my child found quite charming, haha. We stayed in the rammed earth 'Wild Boar' area. The downhill stairs leading to our room during the downpour were quite dangerous, very slippery underfoot. We had to be extremely careful going up and down, and my partner even took a tumble. We reported this safety concern to the front desk when checking out. I'd strongly advise against this room type for elderly guests or families with young children during rainy weather. As for dining, KK French Restaurant was very much to our taste, and breakfast was good too. The Chinese restaurant, however, tended to be a bit salty. Regarding hotel activities, you can just show up at the scheduled time for non-paid activities, no reservation needed. For pottery, I'd recommend booking in advance as their capacity is limited. The shuttle service's response time was generally slow. The串串 (mini-train/cart?) was adorable and well-behaved."

"We chose a cabin villa, which wasn't too far from the main building. The shuttle bus was very responsive, although we had to queue for it when going from the main building to our room. The waiting area was quite hot; it would be better if there was air conditioning or a fan.
The room facilities were generally very good. There was a sterilizer cabinet and a refrigerator, and baby supplies were quite complete. The room had small stairs and toiletries. When we called the front desk to install a bed rail, they came quickly.
In the evening, we rode the 'Qile Infinite' up the mountain. They even provided mosquito repellent spray, which was a thoughtful touch. The view from the mountaintop was great.
Just a small suggestion: it would be great if they could add some shaded awnings in the animal feeding area, as it was too hot and sunny."

"Although I gave it a five-star review mainly because the shuttle bus driver, Milo (I think that's how it's spelled, I glanced at it), was very polite and helped me with my luggage, running up and down the stairs at least five times on the first day. However, this new hotel definitely has many problems. It opened without being fully prepared. The lack of amenities in the rooms was obvious. For example, knowing that children would be staying, they should at least have provided children's slippers and toothbrushes (and there was also a shortage of tissues; there were only three sheets in the toilet). But the front desk didn't mention it, and the guest rooms didn't provide them either. It was already late at night, so I thought, ”Oh well, let it be.” Of course, the next day, when the room was being cleaned, they immediately replenished everything they provided. Also, I stayed on the first floor, and there was mold around the corner of the hallway outside the door. It's hard to believe that a new hotel would have mold on its walls, but the room was very dry, and the smell was okay. Is this because of the mountainous location? Or is it due to improper construction? We stayed in room 32, which was a bit far, but the view from the window was of grass, quite pleasing to the eye. Something strange was that three more buildings of the new hotel were still under construction—not for renovation, but for the actual building phase. They seemed to be in a rush to open; the pool was covered in algae. The service, however, was quite good. I guess I was prepared to check in late, so I arrived at 3 PM. While having breakfast, I heard many people say they had waited one or two hours to check in. In short, the price wasn't worth the trial opening price."

"Right from the underground parking, there were thoughtful hotel signs guiding us. To my surprise, the front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic upon our arrival. They even gave my friend a little gift, and I received a sun hat too – it was such a warm gesture! They also upgraded my room to a higher category for free. The room was spotlessly clean, and I could relax and sunbathe. The breakfast spread was quite generous, and the gym even had a pool table, which the kids absolutely loved. The concierge also thoughtfully recommended some great dining spots nearby. I'll definitely be staying here again if I get the chance."

"I brought my kids here for the summer holidays. The room wasn't quite my style, but the service attitude was truly excellent. During my stay, the door lock wouldn't open, and I contacted Xiaoyue who immediately arranged for an engineer to fix it. I also encountered a small issue at one of the activities, and the on-site staff didn't know how to handle it. Again, Xiaoyue promptly stepped in and resolved it. These 5 stars are for Xiaoyue; she seems to be the resort's service ambassador, as she's the go-to person for most problems. Whether it was arranging a shuttle or getting items sent to the room, she handled everything perfectly. Sometimes her WeChat replies were a bit slow, and I actually considered complaining, haha, but then I saw at the front desk that Xiaoyue *was* the front desk! She was also checking guests in, so no wonder her replies were slow. After chatting for a bit, I realized how hard she works, having to attend to other guests too. Thumbs up for such great service! The room hygiene was also pretty good; it's hard to avoid some outdoor elements."

Mogan Ziling Villa focuses on the privacy and humanistic temperature of mountain scenery, especially suitable for family outings or friends gatherings that pursue a sense of quality.
Hidden in the green mountains and bamboo seas of Ziling Village, it is a veritable ”natural forest oxygen bar”. The buildings are mostly single-family villas, some retaining the local earth wall style, but the interior is European-style rural style, with story-filled utensils and art decoration, both wild and exquisite. The room is named after ”Mogan, Ziling, Mountain Village, Reading”, and the details are hidden in ingenuity.
The double bed suite room type, some of which are double loft structures, equipped with large floor-to-ceiling windows, independent balcony and bathtub, and the bamboo sea and mountain view can be seen by pushing the window. The facilities pay attention to comfort.
”Butler-style intimate” service, will wait in advance to help carry luggage when you check in. Dining is the core highlight. Afternoon tea and breakfast are exquisite and ceremonial. The villa owner, Mr. Wang, is very talkative and caring. Dinner is a private dish with Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai tastes. The ingredients are fresh and the taste is authentic.

We recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation.
For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel.
But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality!

Guest UserThis was my first time visiting Moganshan, and I booked the Shangpo B&B based on Ctrip's ratings and reviews. I was really impressed by the welcome letter, which showed the owner is cultured and thoughtful, and it immediately heightened my expectations for this 'paradise on earth'...
The B&B is nestled amidst mountains and bamboo forests, with a three-story, reddish-orange Tuscan-style exterior that exudes a vintage charm. It feels incredibly exotic being surrounded by the bamboo sea and mountains. The environment here is serene and peaceful, truly a 'paradise away from the hustle and bustle' as described in the welcome letter.
The room was clean and elegant, offering mountain views right from the moment you open the door. Every detail exuded a subtle luxury. My favorite part was the artwork in the common areas – several Picasso-esque paintings by Dutch artists, paired with light luxury, simple European furniture, creating a striking visual contrast between modern and vintage that sparks a unique aesthetic romance.
Both the Chinese and Western meals here were incredibly delicious, fresh, and exquisitely prepared. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner could all be customized to guests' requests; it truly felt like everyone was a VIP.
The service at the B&B was also outstanding. Coffee and mineral water were provided free of charge and unlimited throughout the day! The housekeeper was warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive to every request. This is, without a doubt, the best-serviced B&B I've ever stayed at. I will definitely be back!

Our two-day 'retreat' with my mom and grandma has come to a perfect end! A big thank you to our butler, Xiao Liu, for the thoughtful arrangements. He upgraded our rooms and every meal was delicious. The elders in my family are always so happy when they're in a natural, mountain setting. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed – we didn't have to prepare a thing. Plus, there were charging stations for our electric car, so all we had to do was relax. We'll definitely be back!

This guesthouse has so much character! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the design. The massive, floor-to-ceiling bookshelf instantly brings a sense of calm, which is especially welcome on a hot summer day. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, browse books, read, or simply have a moment of quiet reflection. Oh, and the owner even gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was incredibly comfortable.

The first time I came to Moganshan ⛰️, I carefully selected an ins style homestay that loves my heart-YOLO (you only live once). I love this emotional decoration style too much. The simple and clean soft decoration really satisfies my face value control 😘. The owner of the homestay is a person who loves life very much. Under the embellishment of various green plants, the whole homestay is both atmospheric and warm. Because it has been raining that day, Yu can lie flat in the room, but the baby is not boring at all. The service of the homestay butler is very good. The baby especially likes the young lady. The young lady is gentle and cute. In the afternoon, the living room is very happy to rest and chat with the boss. The beautiful boss personally made two cups of coffee for us, and made delicious yellow tea for us. I was amway. Close to the evening 🌆 several of our families participated in making the ”Lixia Rice”, which is a very meaningful and close to nature. The babies are very serious, and the parents are also very hard. The first time I tasted Lixia Rice, it was really good. Breakfast is also made by them themselves, the shredded pork noodles are superb, and the soup is the soul 😛.
The whole is a very memorable and pleasant homestay experience. 🌷

Naked Castle is a landmark in Moganshan, boasting a rich history from being a British summer retreat to a gathering place for celebrities during the Republic of China era. It's a prime example of the 'foreign-style' guesthouses in Moganshan. While many new luxury resorts have sprung up in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region over the years, and the Naked series continues to evolve, Naked Castle's scenery is truly unparalleled. Perched atop a mountain, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Moganshan range, with its own private outdoor pool. The themed rooms inside the castle are incredibly unique, making you feel as if you've traveled back to medieval Europe, sharing a dwelling with a diverse group of people.
My only minor complaint would be the somewhat understated presence of the staff. Many newer resorts have a more proactive and attentive service approach.

A fantastic experience! The service was excellent. The environment was truly beautiful, but due to its location, there aren't many dining options nearby, so a car is essential. This was a bit inconvenient for us as we're not very confident drivers. On the other hand, the hotel's restaurant had amazing food and a great ambiance! I've already recommended it to several friends on social media. My suggestion for the hotel would be to improve the in-room amenities such as the mini-bar, refrigerator, wine glasses, ice bucket, and tea set. Otherwise, it's hard to store any food or drinks you bring back.

VivianjwangI brought my family here for a relaxing and therapeutic four-day, three-night getaway in the mountains. The customer service representative added me on WeChat, and communication was prompt and friendly. Our accommodation was upgraded to a villa room with a terrace. Waking up to the lush green mountains outside the window, listening to the birds and cicadas, was incredibly soothing for both mind and body.
The hotel is located within the scenic area, so we could drive directly up the mountain without needing to transfer to a park shuttle bus, which was much more convenient for traveling with elderly family members. There was absolutely no need to leave the hotel during our stay. Every morning, we'd take a walk along the pedestrian paths in the scenic area, then come back to read, scroll on our phones, or nap on the terrace – it was a truly immersive and healing experience.
We had all three meals at the hotel restaurant. One day, we ventured out to try a nearby restaurant for a change, but the noisy environment, disposable plastic cutlery, and high prices made us realize the hotel restaurant offered much better ambiance and service. After that, we decided to stick to dining at the hotel.
The hotel's decor has a Republic of China 'old money' style, perfectly blending Chinese and Western characteristics, with quality evident in every detail. Overall, my family and I were very satisfied with our stay, and we look forward to returning in spring and autumn to enjoy the different scenery.

My trip to Moganshan was spurred by a rare good weather weekend and a spontaneous decision. I blindly booked this B&B on Trip.com simply because I liked its name, 'Moshangyin'. I'm just a hopelessly spontaneous person. My suitcase packed clothes for tomorrow, my camera, and a bottle of red wine. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, hoping to get tipsy under a sky full of stars before drifting off to sleep.
However, the reality was I ended up sharing that bottle of wine over a staff meal at the B&B. I met the lovely and fun Sister Fen, known as 'Moganshan's Queen', and the incredibly approachable and wise B&B owner, Da Ling. She cooked me delicious shredded pork noodles and helped me take many great photos. I was the only guest who got to join that meal, simply because I was the only solo guest at the whole B&B – how both sad and interesting is that? In my heart, Moshangyin in Moganshan definitely deserves a five-star review.
