"First off, as other reviews mentioned, the lobby guard was very friendly and opened the door for us. The breakfast was decent, and the facilities were cleaner than I expected. However, this price point just doesn't feel right for a hotel in Southeast Asia, LOL. One thing that was disappointing was that the shower drain was clogged. Even after just one person showered, the water overflowed, and since there's no threshold in the bathroom, it almost flooded the bedroom/entrance area. When the second person showered, they had to turn the water off periodically. I wondered why it was clogged, and then I saw that after the first shower, the shower filter was about a third full of hair/gunk. I specifically chose this place because other hotels had reviews about hair in the drain, but this one didn't. Turns out, it was even worse here. At this level, they must be getting a lot of complaints, especially for a 5-star hotel. This should be a mandatory cleaning item every time, but it wasn't cleaned. It was astonishing that a manager had to come the next morning and clean it with a toothbrush."

"Locals told me this is the most luxurious hotel in Cebu. The opulent lobby and the kind, attentive staff truly impressed me. The view from my room wasn't great as there was construction (probably another hotel) directly across, but the room was cleaned beautifully every day, making my stay very comfortable. I was also very happy to have a bathtub, as hotels with tubs are quite rare in Cebu. This meant the bathroom was quite spacious. Although you could see into the room from the outside, closing the curtains solved that completely. The amenities were excellent, including toothbrushes, razors, combs, and more! I was also pleased to find body lotion. I booked a plan with breakfast included, and I'm so glad I did! There was a wide variety of dishes, and the menu changed slightly every day, so I never got bored. While some dishes had a strong smell, the taste wasn't bad at all. There are pools on the 4th and 5th floors, and the views were absolutely stunning, so I highly recommend checking them out. The pool on the 4th floor is smaller, but the panoramic views are fantastic for taking photos. The gym was also available 24 hours. If I ever go to Cebu again, I will definitely stay at this hotel. It was so wonderful that I didn't want to go back to Japan..."

"11/10. Been booking with Diane for quite some time, my partner and I. This has been our favorite hotel in Cebu, and we are gatekeeping it lol But in our recent stay, I feel like we were not supposed to have the correct room that we're supposed to get, but not really sure about it. I booked a Superior Room with a City view so we can watch some fireworks during Christmas Eve, but when we came into the room, the window was a small one, and when we tried to open the window, we could only see equipment outside blocking the window and the view; the window was forced to just open maybe just 5 inches and that's it. I don't know what City View I was supposed to see. Overall, that's just my only concern. The girl from the reception wearing white did not seem happy (those that are in green uniforms are fine, I love them and those in the dining area even in the rooftop - but the girl in the reception that day idk whats with her) when giving us the room key, she was smiling a little bit, but I could feel she wanted us to just go and disappear in front of her. Overall, we just brush it off and moved on with our day and enjoyed the view from that little window and the from the rooftop. We still love Diane's and will still keep recommending this to our friends and family ofcourse. 11/10."

"It's in a great location for the nightlife in Cebu. The room was smaller than in the photos and the shower was not very clean. There were ants in the room, which was also not good. We were a group of guys so we managed to stay. The positive thing was that there was a 24-hour (?) bakery right below the hotel where we could buy water etc."
