"Located on the edge of the old town, very close to the Picasso Museum, and about a 25-minute walk to the beach, Casa Batlló, and Casa Milan, the location is quite good. However, the service is definitely not suitable for discerning travelers. The receptionists were all cold and indifferent, barely making eye contact with anyone passing by, and generally unfriendly towards Asians. I stayed four nights, and having previously stayed at EDITION hotels in China, this experience was very poor and shouldn't have been like this, especially compared to the much more welcoming and attentive staff at hotels in Granada, Malaga, Marbella, and Seville. This indicates a serious problem with the service at the Barcelona EDITION; some staff members are clearly not suited for service work. I hope Ctrip can communicate with Marriott to improve service quality; otherwise, they should not continue to cooperate with hotels like this. When traveling, hotels should feel like home, not a cold and impersonal place."
