"Price: Very cheap 👍🏻 because I paid RM10.60 😅 Environment: Clean, simple, with water heater, air conditioning, tidy beds, two toilets, and a restaurant downstairs. Location: Excellent. I walked and enjoyed the scenery for about 10 minutes and arrived at Jonker Street. At night, there's a Malay night market and many eateries nearby, all within walking distance 🚶‍♀️. The Upside Down House is right behind, just a 1-minute walk away. Next to it, you can see beautiful night views and city lights 🌃 with boats passing by on the river. Within a 5-minute walk, there are also 99 Speedmart, 7-11, and Guardian, so you don't have to worry about not finding daily necessities. Hostel Restaurant: The food is incredibly delicious!! 👍🏻😘 And cheap too!! Summary/Thoughts: Personally, I believe you get what you pay for, so don't pay RM10 and expect RM100 service 😒; that's impossible. If you can't accept that, then don't stay here, because you can always choose to pay RM100 to stay in a hotel, right? 😂 This is a mixed dormitory, meaning it's open for both men and women, with bunk beds 🛏️. Most guests are from different countries and are backpackers or people who need a simple rest and a place to shower during a short stopover. Don't bring valuables; you need to keep your personal belongings safe, just as you would in a hotel. Their staff cleans regularly 🧹, so it's clean and doesn't have any strong odors. As for the room rules, it's stated that no loud talking or noise is allowed, no smoking 🚬, and shoes cannot be worn inside the room – they must be left outside. So the room itself is quite clean. Unless you encounter selfish guests who don't follow the rules, like wearing shoes inside. So far, the guests I've encountered here are all reasonable and respectful. From morning to night, it's not noisy or chaotic, so napping 💤 is possible 😌. Their restaurant food is super affordable and delicious 😋, they even allowed me to pack food to go. 😅 They also give a RM2 voucher for their restaurant during check-in. The cheapest fried rice is only RM5, which I tried. I also had the prawn noodles for RM10 and prawn crackers for RM10. I honestly feel so great staying here. It's cheap to stay, cheap to eat, no extra taxes, and it has air conditioning and a water heater – perfect for backpackers. I met many guests here from different cities and countries 😁, and we all shared our experiences. While talking to them, I suddenly felt very lucky, because two days ago something happened here: an elderly guest from Singapore 🇸🇬 caused a scene, verbally abusing 🤬 the staff and looking down on people. The main thing is that he was making a big fuss in the room, and even the police 👮 came in the middle of the night. But the police didn't come up to the room; they were downstairs in the restaurant. I heard the person ran away 🏃 before the police arrived because he took the deposit and even snatched the room key 🔑. The guests here all advised the owner to report it to the police 🚔. 🤔 Actually, I want to say to this Singaporean, what gives you the right to be arrogant and look down on people? Is it because the Singapore dollar exchange rate is high? Is it because you speak English? 😅 If you think you're rich and high above, you wouldn't be staying here; you'd be in a 5-star hotel. Can you insult people for paying just over ten ringgit? That's too cheap! Moreover, not everyone staying here is poor or of a lower class. Even if they were, they wouldn't be as cheap as you to cause trouble. Learning to respect others is also respecting yourself. Quality and education come from your attitude. After hearing everyone's conversations, I think this guest is an uncultured and ill-mannered Singaporean. And Malaysia and Singapore are just neighboring countries. Isn't causing trouble in a neighboring country just shaming your own country? 🤣 Where's your brain? Don't be ridiculous 🙄. Give you an inch, and you'll take a mile. For example: just because we give you a cheap price, a good environment, and service, do we have to offer ourselves to you too? 😱"
