Academy Plaza Hotel
8.8 (93 reviews)

Academy Plaza Hotel ★★★

📍 10-14, Findlater Pl, O'Connell Street Upper, Rotunda, Dublin

"Slightly ditanced from the main crowd area like Ha Penny Bridge or Temple Bar area, but it is to our benefit. Meaning it’s very quiet when you need to rest, yet the access to those places above are just 10 minutes away by foot and through a major street. There’s also airport bus stop conveniently located just 1-2 minutes away from the hotel. What a perfect location. The hotel space by itself too is clean, generally quiet, and generally a good value for money."

Abigail's Hostel
8.6 (79 reviews)

Abigail's Hostel ★★

📍 7-9 Aston Quay, Temple Bar, Dublin

"I loved it."

Point A Dublin Liberties
8.9 (135 reviews)

Point A Dublin Liberties ★★★

📍 Oliver Bond St, Dublin

"The room was clean. The room size is quite small. The service is very friendly. The breakfast was tasty but modest - two types of salami and two types of cheese."

Premier Inn Dublin City Centre (North Docklands)
8.7 (146 reviews)

Premier Inn Dublin City Centre (North Docklands) ★★★

📍 22 Sheriff Street Upper, North Wall, Dublin

"Excellent hotel. It is very clean and facilities are excellent."

Beckett Locke

Beckett Locke ★★★★

📍 N Wall Ave, Point Square Village, Dublin

"The hotel is really nice and functional. The kitchenette is well-equipped enough to prepare a meal, which we took advantage of. The shower is large and comfortable, the toiletries are very good, and the towels are fabulous – better than some 4 or 5-star hotels! The staff are very kind and accommodating to any request. The location is excellent for reaching Dublin city center; the tram stops right outside the hotel's side exit. I highly recommend it; it offers great value for money. Thanks, Trip.com, for the deal!"

Gardiner House Hostel
8.6 (402 reviews)

Gardiner House Hostel ★★

📍 76 Gardiner Street Upper, Mountjoy, Dublin

"The front desk staff were really friendly. However, it didn't feel particularly clean. Especially the common areas – I got the strong impression they weren't cleaned very well. Still, the bathrooms were quite clean. Later, I heard from a friend who lives in Dublin that the south side of Dublin (city center near Trinity College) is very safe, but the north side where this hostel is located isn't particularly safe. I definitely felt that. The buildings lined up in front of the hostel made me think of the broken window theory, and the smell of ****** nearby was really strong. Don't walk alone at night. Overall, I was satisfied since I only stayed for one night, but if you're planning a longer stay, I recommend the city center area. (This is more of a geographical location issue than an internal hostel problem...)"

Temple Bar Inn
9.0 (130 reviews)

Temple Bar Inn ★★★

📍 40-47 Fleet St, Temple Bar, Dublin

"Perfect location: Temple Bar, airport bus stop, supermarket, many restaurants and attractions nearby. The room was a good size, very clean and very quiet. I will definitely book this hotel again next time."

Clayton Hotel Charlemont
9.0 (115 reviews)

Clayton Hotel Charlemont ★★★★

Academy Plaza Hotel ★★★
"Good location coz we can reach the hotel by aircoach and easy to go the attraction in the city. The staff let us checkin early coz room is available and i appreciate that. The triple room is a bit tight for three people and amenities are completed. I like this hotel and the coffee down stair. The security is good coz you have to tab a room card before get in the elevator."

Gardiner House Hostel ★★
"I booked for three consecutive days, and on the third day, I had to switch rooms. The front desk tried to charge me 8 euros for luggage storage, claiming that switching rooms counts as a check-out. They said check-in was at 3 PM and check-out by 11 AM at the latest, and that luggage couldn't be stored for free at the hotel. What?! Even Trip.com calling them didn't help. Absolutely terrible."

"The beds are comfortable. Quite well located, not too far from the center (25 minutes on foot). The Yellow Café next door is excellent for breakfast. The shower for the room isn't actually in the room itself, but it's very close by, quite spacious, and clean."

Dublin Travel Recommendations and City Info

Dublin: Ireland's Vibrant Heart

Dublin, the capital city of Ireland, is a mesmerizing mix of history, culture, and modern vibrancy. This lively city, located on Ireland's east coast, is renowned for its friendly locals and stunning architecture. Did you know? Dublin was once home to literary legends like James Joyce and Oscar Wilde, whose influences still pervade the city.

Journeying to the Emerald Isle

Arriving in Dublin typically involves a flight into Dublin Airport, one of the busiest airports in Europe. From there, buses, taxis, and trams offer convenient transport to the city centre. As Ireland is part of the European Union, it's advisable to check and comply with visa requirements before travel.

While Euro is the official currency, most places accept credit cards. English and Irish are the official languages, with English being widely spoken. Embrace local customs by joining the friendly "craic", a unique blend of music, storytelling, and humor that shapes Irish social gatherings.

Unveiling Dublin's Charm

From the historic Dublin Castle and St Patrick's Cathedral to the modern Grand Canal Square, the city offers a wealth of attractions. Literature lovers will relish a visit to the Dublin Writers Museum and the James Joyce Centre. The Guinness Storehouse and Temple Bar are must-visit spots for those looking to sample Ireland's famous brews and vibrant nightlife.

Weather Wonders: When to Visit

Dublin experiences a maritime climate with mild winters and cool summers. July and August are the warmest months, with temperatures averaging 66°F (19°C). The city is known for its rainy weather, so packing an umbrella or raincoat is always a good idea. The best time to visit is late spring or early fall when the weather is most pleasant.

Your Dublin Retreat: Where to Stay

Accommodation in Dublin caters to every need. If you're keen to stay close to major attractions, The Westin Dublin offers luxury rooms near Trinity College and Temple Bar. Gourmands will love the centrally located Drury Court Hotel, with its proximity to Dublin's gastronomic scene.

For budget travelers, the Generator Hostel in Smithfield Square offers affordable lodging, while business travelers may appreciate the modern comforts of The Spencer Hotel in Dublin's financial hub. If you're seeking Instagrammable aesthetics, the boutique Dean Dublin, with its chic decor and rooftop restaurant, makes for a perfect choice.
