Ruby Molly Hotel Dublin by IHG

The hotel's location is great, on the north bank of the Liffey River, not far from most city attractions. The interior design is stylish, and the lobby bar area is fantastic. However, some of the facilities are a bit strange. There's a pantry on each floor, but no kettle, tea, or fridge in the rooms. While it looks simple and clean, it's not particularly comfortable. Most of the staff were good, but the bespectacled woman who checked me in had a fake smile that disappeared as soon as she finished speaking, which was quite odd. She gave incomplete answers and required multiple follow-up questions to get a full response. This made for a very poor check-in experience. Also, the 'upgradeable room type' was strange; when I asked about it at check-in, they said this was the best room, so I'm not sure what 'upgradeable' even meant.

Had a great stay at this hotel. The property was clean and well-maintained, and the location was excellent. The staff were absolutely lovely, welcoming, and always ready to help. My only minor complaint is about the cleaning: the floor wasn't really clean; it felt like it hadn't been mopped. Another point to note is that the amenities provided are quite basic. There were towels and shower gel, but no toothbrush, slippers, cotton swabs, or other small touches that you sometimes find in some hotels. Aside from these details, everything else was perfect, and I recommend this hotel.

Staying at this hotel again after a year, and it's still excellent. The breakfast is highly recommended – so much variety and really tasty. I was surprised the front desk staff still remembered me! The decor in the common areas is really interesting; all the tables and chairs are salvaged vintage pieces with great character.
