It's about a 15-minute walk to the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, and along the way, you can experience the local street scene. Overall, the attractions are concentrated, making it ideal for travelers who enjoy exploring on foot. The check-in experience was good. The room was clean, bright, and spacious. The bed was soft and comfortable, providing good relief from travel fatigue and ensuring a decent quality of rest. The only minor drawback is the limited dining options near the hotel. For dinner or to find a variety of local cuisine, you might need to walk a bit further, or consider planning your meals in advance while exploring during the day. Overall, it's a clean, comfortable, and well-located accommodation, especially suitable for travelers whose main purpose is to visit the necropolis and surrounding historical sites. If convenience for dining isn't a high priority, it's an excellent place to stay."

"The room was very clean. Since we had to take off our shoes indoors, it felt very comfortable. Both the air conditioning and the TV were modern, making our stay very pleasant. The bed was also spacious and clean enough for a good night's sleep. The bathroom ventilation wasn't great, so I left the door open, but it wasn't a major issue. The staff's hospitality was excellent. I was reassured when they explained that female staff would handle laundry for women. Regarding the location, it's a bit far from tourist attractions, so a taxi is essential. There's a bus stop right in front. There are also delicious restaurants and a convenience store-like shop nearby, so we had no trouble with meals. I would definitely like to stay here again when I come back to Uzbekistan!"

"Cleanliness: Although the hotel is a bit old, it's incredibly clean and well-maintained. There were no strange odors inside, which shows their excellent housekeeping and odor control. The lobby always had a faint fruity scent, and our room was spotless. Facilities: The hotel breakfast was fantastic! Besides standard items like coffee, tea, milk, juice, and eggs, they offered a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and local pastries every day. For tourists who spend their days exploring, such a high-quality breakfast is essential. The complimentary bottled water in the room daily was also very practical! Service: All hotel staff spoke fluent English and Russian, so communication was never an issue. They were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. We needed to book an English-speaking tour guide for the next day; after explaining it to the front desk, they immediately helped us contact someone and quickly finalized the booking. The day after our tour, upon returning to the hotel, the staff even followed up to ask if we were satisfied with the experience, showing truly excellent service. Environment: The hotel's location is superb, situated within a pedestrian street, making it very safe. Most major attractions are just a 10-minute walk away. There are many guesthouses and shops nearby, and a square not far off where many locals stroll and walk their children after the sunset cools down, making for a very pleasant evening walk. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience at the Sangzor Hotel and highly recommend it to other visitors coming to Samarkand!"

"Clean, spacious room in a beautiful hotel which is close to the main attractions. Breakfast is also good. The only issue we had was that the WiFi network range is not good on the 3rd floor sometimes. When we complained, they installed a new router in the room. Even after that the TV had issues finding the Wifi network. Other than that, we were very happy with the room and it's location."

"Arrived in Samarkand in the early hours by train, and the hotel front desk was very efficient and quick with check-in. The AC was already turned on in the room, which was a nice touch. The room was a bit smaller compared to the Mövenpick in Tashkent (though this might just be a standard room with no deluxe twin option). The hotel itself is quite large and conveniently located near a university with many good breakfast choices. After housekeeping, clean towels and toiletries weren't immediately replenished, but after speaking with the front desk, they promptly rectified the situation. Their attitude and ability to resolve issues are definitely commendable."

"The hotel is in a very nice location; the most important tourist attractions and markets are within walking distance. The staff are wonderful people. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the breakfast buffet; the options weren't sufficient for someone of Turkish origin."

"Pros: 1. The location is excellent, just a few steps from Registan Square – incredibly convenient! 2. The room size is reasonable, and the facilities are great. There are hot and cold water dispensers on each floor, which is very handy. The room also has a small fridge, perfect for keeping drinks cold in the summer. 3. Downstairs is the hotel's own highly-rated restaurant, and there are two other restaurants nearby, making dining incredibly convenient. There are also small shops around for buying drinks and snacks. 4. As mentioned above, since the hotel has its own restaurant, the breakfast quality goes without saying. 5. The price is reasonable; I stayed in a single room for three nights for just over 500. Cons: The room seemed to have been recently painted, as there were a few drops of paint on the windowsill and mirror."

"The breakfasts are simply amazing! It's not often you get red caviar, lightly salted salmon, and various hot dishes (not just your typical scrambled or fried eggs), quality cheeses, and delicious fruits for breakfast!!! The service is top-notch, and the staff are very responsive... they always address all requests and don't nitpick over small things. Prices for additional services (like laundry and ironing) are quite reasonable. The rooms are spotless, and the bed linen is changed daily and practically crinkles with cleanliness... there's a choice of several types of pillows for each guest: orthopedic, anti-allergenic, and goose down. The location is also good, just a 15-minute walk to the city center. All in all, I highly recommend it!!! Wish there were more hotels and services like this!!!"

"Beautifully renovated old building. The room is also beautiful and stylish. The breakfast is modest and 'home-style'. Just 5 meters from the hotel entrance, there's a bakery with a tandoor oven where they bake samsa. For some reason, we didn't have water or tea in our room, and the lamp above the table wasn't working. I contacted the reception, and while we were out, they brought water and tea, but the light bulb wasn't replaced. One mystery: there are no refrigerators in the rooms on the third floor 🤷‍♀️. Not far from the hotel, there's a nice place called 'Bobur' with a cozy interior and a wide selection of kebabs. Almost directly opposite this establishment, there's an alcohol store where they sell alcohol for cash! We stayed in Tashkent for 6 days before Samarkand, and buying alcohol with cash was impossible there. Aside from these minor issues, I definitely recommend this hotel 👍."
