Hotel Maroqanda

Hello everyone from the Caucasus! I stayed at the hotel for 4 days in mid-April. The location is great – all attractions are within walking distance, and it's easy to access the hotel by car. The rooms match the description; good bed linen, and the bathroom has gel, shampoo, and soap. However, there's a slight, specific odor in the bathroom, which I didn't notice in the room itself. My room was directly opposite the staircase, and the window opened into the hallway. Upstairs, there's a viewing platform with access to the roof (photo 3), where a glass door was open, providing plenty of fresh air. I could hear my neighbors clearly, but it wasn't too disruptive. I'd like to highlight the excellent work of the staff: - The reception staff were attentive and friendly. - The housekeeping staff do a fantastic job cleaning all areas. - The breakfast attendant was also very caring.

The accommodation is very close to Registan, making it easy to walk there. The staff provided good service. However, the room had a drain smell, which made the room feel a bit stale. The shower had a rain shower head with widely spaced holes, so it took a long time to rinse off soap because the water pressure wasn't strong. It also took a while for the water to warm up.

Similar to other reviews, the drain had a strong odor, and the soundproofing was average. Aside from that, everything else was fine. It's very close to Registan Square, and the area around the square is lively. However, there's no free shuttle service; they just help you call a taxi. If there's no one at the front desk, you can ring the bell.

Could be improved. The property is a bit dated but in a great location.

The hotel has a fantastic location, just a 5-minute walk to Registan Square. The decor is quite stylish, but the room amenities are basic, especially the bathroom. The showerhead couldn't be adjusted, so the floor was flooded after showering, and the water temperature kept fluctuating, which was quite frustrating. The room's soundproofing was poor; I could hear laughter and snoring all night. Breakfast is nothing special; it's just a basic meal to fill your stomach. However, it's worth noting that the room is cleaned daily.
