"This was my first time staying at (Redang Island Resort), and while the accommodation was okay, the bathroom was a major issue. The showerhead kept falling off when I tried to adjust it, and when I rinsed the corners of the bathroom floor, a lot of dirt came out. The soundproofing in the room wasn't great, probably because it's a wooden building. It's not a lively area. Compared to Laguna, it's a world apart. Renting a motorbike for RM60 a day isn't worth it, as there's nothing much to see around here anyway. All the food stalls outside are 'mamak' stalls, and they charge exorbitant prices. The food options at the hotel are also limited. You're pretty much confined to the hotel grounds. To get to the beach, you have to go down a flight of stairs, which is definitely not suitable for elderly people with mobility issues. I won't be coming back next time. If you're looking for a quiet place, then this resort might be an option. My advice for anyone coming to Redang Island is to stay at a hotel in the Laguna area, as there are so many food choices, and it's much livelier with more activities. Most importantly, an all-inclusive hotel with three meals a day is ideal, especially on an island. You don't want to come all this way just to eat at 'mamak' stalls; it's not worth it. I have a lot more to complain about, but I'll stop here."
