I booked this trip quite last minute, and since it was peak holiday season, the price was a bit high. The hotel itself was decent, located right by a small hill, and it was a short walk to the beach. The ocean here was pretty clean, and the sand was very fine, which I found better than the Laguna area. The three meals were relatively standard, but that's really a matter of personal taste. The staff were all very welcoming. Coming here is all about relaxing and unwinding, so I didn't focus too much on the small details. Overall, it was a pretty good experience!

I have to say, the hotel's beachfront is one of the best in that area. Most of the staff speak Chinese, so there are quite a few Chinese guests, and they even have live Chinese singing at night. The room size is decent, but there's no hairdryer, and the AC occasionally cuts out. If you hang clothes outside, they dry quickly after noon. My biggest disappointment was when we paid extra for a friend to join us, but then they couldn't make it. We contacted the hotel four or five days in advance to see if we could get a partial refund, but they said no refund was possible at all.

This hotel is a great value for the price. First, they offer a holiday package that includes boat transfer, food, and daily activities—I really liked it. Second, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful; they accompany you and try to make your holiday great. One thing that could be improved is the cleaning quality. The cleaning is superficial—the walls in the bathroom are very dirty, the mirror is dirty, etc. The cleaning personnel does not pay attention to details. Also the safe and TV did not work. I would also warn families with kids, as this hotel might not be the best choice for you. Snorkeling activities are not suitable for small children, the food selection is very limited (so kids may not find something to eat), and there are no facilities for entertaining children at the hotel. Finally, the tap water quality is poor, so I would be worried about my child showering there. Yet, for solo budget travelers, this hotel is a perfect choice—I highly recommend it.

Paid for renting the safety vest, severely torn up vest as shown in the picture was provided to us. I guess this might be the safety standard in Malaysia. However, I believe this is below the safety standard for the rest of world. The staff in charge of rental was rude and not friendly to the customer, expect for playing his phone and flirting with female staff. Cleanness is bad, toilet has yellow stain in them, sink doesn’t look like it has been cleaned ever. No tooth brush and paste was provided, which you have to pay out of your own pocket to buy them in the mini store. Food was good though! The cafeteria was clean and organized. Highly recommend the chief run the whole resort to raise the standards.

I had a wonderful stay at Redang Bay Resort. The place is beautiful and very relaxing, perfect for a getaway. The service was excellent — all the staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. I especially want to thank a staff member named Snow, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay and made everything even more pleasant. I also really appreciate the honesty of the team — I accidentally left my wallet in the safe, and it was returned to me safely. That truly gave me peace of mind. Overall, a great experience with amazing service. Highly recommended! 🌴✨

While the property is located right on the beach, its standards are quite low. The food quality isn't really suitable for a European palate. Rooms aren't tidied daily, and the cleanliness could definitely be improved. The staff, however, are kind and helpful. What's most disturbing is how all the resorts on this magnificent island operate with zero respect for the environment. Waste is collected behind the resorts and burned. The island's forest is littered with all sorts of rubbish: plastic, paper, cans, and even abandoned 4x4 quad bike wrecks. The coral reef is completely gone, with only its remnants left on the seabed. Tourists aren't encouraged to practice sustainability in a place with such a delicate environmental balance.
