Cheap Hotels in Negombo

"The service was excellent and breakfast was good. We arrived in the evening and had plans in Negombo early the next morning, so we quickly chose this hotel because of its proximity. The beach, restaurant, and pool were all very clean. Room cleanliness was just okay; I even found used tissues in the wardrobe. Early the next morning, we went to the beach to watch the sunrise, and it was wonderfully uncrowded. The only downside is that the hotel rooms face the street, so there was a lot of traffic noise at night. Light sleepers should definitely take this into consideration. Upon checking out the next day, we discovered that the other side of the hotel, also facing the street, was a cemetery."

"The staff made me feel so welcome and nothing was too much - even accommodating my dietary requirements as much as possible. They really helped make my travel easy and comfortable. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, rooms are basic, but clean and it’s ideal for the airport or as place to stay before onward travel :) there’s also a rooftop bar for sunset!"

"A green hotel, very close to the sea, and the view from the room is amazing. 1) Breakfast wasn't very tasty, and the food at the hotel wasn't particularly good. 2) The rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. 3) Parking is available right across from the hotel. 4) You exit the hotel, turn right, and walk along the road where you'll find restaurants, cafes, and shops. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to a good restaurant, which is fine overall; you can enjoy a stroll. 5) There's a volleyball court inside the hotel, and we played a game. Overall, it's good, but the hotel itself isn't new. If you're staying for 2-3 days, it's a great option, but for a week, it's probably better to choose another place."

"I booked this hotel for my last night in Sri Lanka, and I was incredibly satisfied with both the front desk service and the room itself – it was excellent. I had forgotten to book breakfast, but when I asked at the front desk, they handled it without any issues at all, and the service was very pleasant."

"Amazing beachfront hotel, very very good service. Rooms looks better than on photos! Extremely good price/quality offer! We stayed during New Year's Eve and Gala dinner was mind blowing - so much choice, delicacies of all sort, tasty and desers are from heaven as well. Ochen ochen xorosho. We could see all Negombo fireworks. Hotel team also provided us with the early breakfast package because we left early morning on January 1st! They really did go above and beyond to help us feel truly valuable guests! We will return! Thank you Earl's Regent Team!"

"It suited its purpose to be close to the airport, but otherwise there is not much to do in the area neither in the hotel. I would not stay longer than necessary. The hotels facilities are basic, rooms a bit outdated, though gym is quite good. Pool is nice and breakfast tasty and good variety"

"After several transfers, we finally arrived at the hotel just as a torrential downpour began. Watching the lightning and thunder outside my window, the waves crashing against the rocks, and the strong winds whipping the swings around, filled me with utter bliss 🈵. Then we went to the restaurant. Dinner was served until 10 PM. The sushi 🍣 and seafood platter were delicious, but I wouldn't recommend the other dishes as they didn't suit my Chinese palate. It was quite expensive though, costing over 500 [local currency] (picture 13). The next day, as I'd hoped, was bright and sunny. I was thrilled to see the hotel's full grandeur. During breakfast (picture 14), I looked up and saw a squirrel in the tree 🐿️. I wandered around the hotel and was moved to tears by its beauty! Many friends traveling to Sri Lanka use Negombo as their first night's stopover, and I highly recommend this hotel to kick off your entire trip with an amazing experience 📸. 📍Jetwing Lagoon Wellness"

"The room is very spacious, in fact one could say too spacious, where you look at the size of the bathroom. It is a shame that some thought was not put into making the bedroom dining area smaller and the bathroom/toilet larger. Some of the plugs for items such as the kettle and bedside lamp were two pin plugs and could not be plugged in. Asked an employee and he provided one adapter to at least plug the kettle in. The place is advertised as an apartment and the facilities support this. There is a sink, two pan electric hot top, fridge, sandwich maker, kettle and a dining table. The AC worked well, the bed was very comfortable and good quality linen and towels were provided. There was a wall mounted TV and an attempt to watch Netflix was made, but it was in Chinese and couldn't work out if it could be changed to English. The Wi Fi was reliable and fast enough not to be an issue. During the night there was a power outage and had to leave the apartment to speak with the onsite employee, to reset the tripped electrical switches. There is a supermarket within a 15 to 20 minute walk away, however being located on a main road, there are plenty of Tuk Tuks that could make it quicker. There is a nearby restaurant that is a separate business and provides plenty of food options, it is on the opposite side and diagonal to the apartment. On the same side as the apartment and a 5min walk, is a business called Barista, where you can get a decent coffee and breakfast. This place was chosen primarily because it was close to the airport and cost approx 800 rupee to get there. All in all would stay again and if the management read this, then the plug situation needs to be sorted, along with the Netflix issue. Lastly I would recommend that perhaps a small hand brush and dust pan were provided."

"The hotel I chose for transit in Negombo is roughly equivalent to the level of a three-star hotel in China. The breakfast is self-service with a wide variety of options, and the fruits and banana yogurt are well received. Check-in was very fast, and I give a thumbs up to the guy at the front desk. I gave the guy who carried the luggage a tip of 100 rupees, and he seemed very happy. What I was not satisfied with was that I booked a superior king-size bed room, but ended up getting a double standard room. I don't know if there was a problem with the system. Also, the plug of the washbasin was blocked, and I didn't know how to open it🥹"
