"Merlynn Park Hotel Jakarta — A Surprisingly Great Family Stay Sometimes, a hotel is not just about how luxurious it looks, but how comfortable your family feels from the moment you walk through the door. Merlynn Park Hotel Jakarta delivered exactly that. The location is one of its biggest advantages. Situated in Central Jakarta, it is very close to Monas and within easy reach of major shopping areas and attractions. For a family travelling around Jakarta, the location makes getting around considerably more convenient. The hotel itself is big, spacious and strategically located. The lobby is particularly impressive — very large, comfortable, and filled with plenty of seating areas where families can relax while waiting for check-in. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink and traditional Indonesian snacks, which was a nice touch. Check-in was smooth and fast. I also appreciated the security system in the lifts, where access to the guest floors is controlled. It gives you an extra sense of security, especially when travelling with children. Our Family Suite We chose the Family Suite with two queen-sized beds, and this was probably one of the best decisions for our stay. The room was spacious and modern, with more than enough room for our large luggage — and still plenty of space to move around comfortably. For us as a Muslim family, I also appreciated having enough space to pray comfortably, with the Qibla direction provided. And of course, the bathtub was a big hit with the kids! The room also came with a coffee and tea-making facility, including Earl Grey, together with the usual toiletries and amenities. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped, with a separate bathtub and shower. Breakfast — One of the Highlights Breakfast deserves a special mention. The variety was genuinely impressive, with a wide selection covering international, Chinese and Indonesian cuisine. There was something for everyone, and the Indonesian selections in particular gave us a chance to enjoy local flavours without having to leave the hotel. It is the kind of breakfast where you walk in thinking, “I’ll just have a little,” and somehow end up going back for another plate. Pool & Gym The swimming pool and fitness centre were another pleasant surprise. The pool area is spacious and relaxing, with greenery and city views. There are also shaded areas where you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere without spending the entire afternoon under the Jakarta sun. For me, one of the nicest details was being able to relax by the pool while enjoying the view towards Monas. What Made the Difference But beyond the room, breakfast and facilities, what really stood out to us was the hospitality. My family felt welcomed from the moment we entered the hotel. The security staff were consistently courteous, greeting us respectfully whenever we entered or left the property. Those small gestures may seem insignificant, but when you are travelling with your family, they make a difference. Overall, Merlynn Park Hotel gave us exactly what we wanted from a family stay in Jakarta — space, comfort, convenience and genuine Indonesian hospitality. It may be a large hotel, but our experience felt warm and personal. A very good stay. A very happy family. And definitely a hotel I would consider staying at again when we return to Jakarta."

"Overall, it's pretty good. I've stayed at a few hotels from this brand and haven't had a bad experience yet. The hygiene is good, and I didn't find any bugs. The washing machine is a definite plus. You can grab drinks from the convenience store nearby."

"Room823: I got free upgrade to Grand suite king. All my special request are met by the hotel. Such as Smoking room, near lift lobby and early check-in and late check-out. What Impressed me a lot was the safety & security of this hotel. Good location. Lovely breakfast. Their staff are super super friendly & helpful. They always greet & smile at you. Overall i rate Gran Melia Jakarta 11 out of 10. They have done extremely beyond their professional level. "The hotel is located in the HXC building, with a convenience store and restaurants downstairs, offering great convenience. The room was clean and comfortable, though the towels were a bit old. The TV couldn't stream digital content, but they provided eco-friendly water bottles for drinking water. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, and the breakfast selection is quite varied and generally good. Overall, it offers excellent value for money."

"We just wrapped up an unforgettable 3-night stay at Raffles Jakarta to celebrate a birthday, and the experience was flawless. We mentioned the birthday in advance, and the hotel went above and beyond, surprising us with a beautiful cake and birthday song. Miss Rahsya who's checked us was so nice and friendly, duty manager Mr.Miko also very good person. Our room was stunningly big, impeccably clean, and luxuriously comfortable. And the direct access to Lotte Mall makes it super convenient for dining, shopping, and grabbing coffee without ever stepping out into the city traffic. Breakfast at Arts Cafe is phenomenal with everything from fresh pastries to made-to-order specialties. Minor issue, housekeeping was a bit confusing maybe hotel should told to guests when check in about how their HK works. And also we received a message from hotel spa asking about our spa reservation despite we didn't make any reservation with hotel spa, fortunately their response is fast and corrected immediately. Overall we are enjoying our stay and highly recommended if you are looking for an art-filled oasis in the city."

"This hotel boasts a very strategic location in the heart of Jakarta, making everything easily accessible. Public transportation is a breeze with plenty of options. Right in front of the hotel, you'll find an electric TransJakarta stop, and another TransJakarta station is just 100 meters away. For Sundays, it's super convenient – you can just head downstairs and join the Car-Free Day (CFD) activities. The facilities are fantastic, including a gym, sauna, a kids' play area, and a swimming pool area with a wonderfully relaxing Bali-like vibe. It's truly amazing to find such a natural, peaceful atmosphere right in the middle of bustling Jakarta. The room itself is comfortable, and the amenities are quite complete, including a bathtub. The only downside is that the intercom phone wasn't working, which made it a bit inconvenient when I needed to contact customer service or ask for anything else."

"One of the best location in Jakarta, to people want to watch concert etc, however air conditioning in room not cooling at all, hence hotel side need to check of it, but location wise fantastic easier for me to explore senopati area. Try it out"

"Walking distance within the Thamrin Station (less than 5 mins), where also walking distance (20 mins walk) to Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia. The breakfast hotel also were very good, usually nasi goreng for hotel is not that good, but for three consecutives days that I stayed, the food is very good esp the nasi goreng! Somemore it is spicy which is preferable to my own liking! Would def stay here again if I ever wanna go Jakarta."
