Serene_lanThe hotel ambiance exudes old-money charm. During my stay, I even had the pleasure of seeing their Sultan King. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel's location is excellent, said to be in the best 'feng shui' spot, feeling grand and impressive. It directly faces the river, and in the evenings, it's very convenient to stroll along the riverside to Marina Bay Sands. The only issue was that the air conditioning wasn't cooling when I checked in, but it was resolved after I reported it. Later that night, I discovered the shower gel dispenser was nearly empty, and no product would come out. Then, the shower drain clogged, quickly flooding the entire bathroom during my quick shower. The hotel does show some signs of aging facilities, but everything else was great.

This stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around and dining. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom had plenty of hot water with no unpleasant odors. The front desk staff were warm, courteous, and efficient with check-in and check-out. The cleaning staff were also prompt. Overall, it was quiet and not noisy. The value for money is great, and I would definitely choose this hotel again for future trips. Highly recommend!

LeesnYou can tell the hotel is a bit dated, but the room we stayed in was renovated, which was actually quite nice. The only downside is that if you're driving, parking can be really hard to find; the lot was full both day and night.

Aiwan1502I loved my stay eventho it was just for a night, I’m now looking for excuses to come back to Kuching just to stay with Voco!
Service wise it was tad bit lacking, no one helped me with my luggages upon reaching the hotel but subsequently, everytime I got into the car, someone would be there to hold my door
I enjoyed the breakfast truly. The swimming isn’t completed yet I think, bathrooms were not ready. Location wise, it’s a 20-30mins to Kuching city center, just gotta plan your time if you’ve got work appointments.
The best suprise was the retail stop at the lobby! I couldn’t keep my hands off the bags hehe

Guest UserWe had a lovely 3D2N mother-daughter and intergenerational friends’ stay at Cove 55, Santubong, and it was exactly the sort of peaceful break we were looking for. The grounds are beautiful and very calming, with a real sense of tranquility and serenity. The staff were lovely — warm, attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. Our mothers are in their 80s, and the pace and setting were perfect for them. Two nights felt just right for a restful getaway. The room was spacious, bright and comfortable. The bed was firm and very comfortable, and the air-conditioning was powerful — an absolute godsend in the Santubong heat. The complimentary water, coffee and tea provided were adequate. The weather was generally nice, although scorching during certain parts of the day, so we were glad to have a cool room to retreat to.
Our stay was simple and very enjoyable: we basically ate, chatted and swam. The food was good quality, with generous portions, and we were very satisfied with the meals. The place feels lived in rather than brand new, but it is respectably clean. I would not describe it as immaculate, but it is by far cleaner than many hotels and retreats in Kuching.
The only thing I wish we had done differently was to request ground-floor rooms in advance. As our mothers are in their 80s, it would have been easier for them to avoid climbing the stairs. For anyone travelling with elderly guests or anyone with mobility concerns, I would suggest requesting ground-floor rooms when booking. Overall, Cove 55 is a beautiful, serene place for a quiet escape, especially for families or friends wanting to slow down and spend time together. I would happily recommend it.

Guest UserTo best describe this place, it's like a mini paradise atop a cliff overlooking the beautiful sea, with a twist of staying in large cylindrical concert culverts.
You can easily spot it along the road to Damai with its large circular logo at its gate. It was closed upon my arrival at 3pm, but due to the main entrance being easily seen from the receptionist area, it didn't take long for them to open the gate, and I just drove right in.
The receptionist was very polite and welcoming, decently professional as well, after checking us in we were given a quick tour around, highlighting the facilities and public areas.
The room itself, being quite quirky in its own way, isn't too difficult to maneuver around, as long as you don't rush yourself and knock yourself around the relatively tiny room. Adequate steps are built to help climbing up and moving around, with simple storage spots around the bed, which by itself takes up about half of the room. The other side of the room is the bathing area, which I would say is surprisingly spacious enough to use. So a bed and a bathing area sums up the entire, unique cylindrical room.
The hotel itself is nicely planned, guests can pamper themselves by picking their favorite spots located around the place, and enjoy a marvelous view of the sea. There's also a small private beach all the way down the cliff too. Facilities include swimming pools, sauna room, washer + dryer machines, gymnasium, library, etc. are pretty neat if you need them.
I would say the place is great for couples, and a short refresher trip. I technically live in the city just half an hour drive away, but to catch a break from work and relax here for a day, I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat. Just make sure you've got the legs to climb up and down the place!

The family room was fantastic, even better than the Waterfront and Hilton I've stayed at previously. It was very new, spacious, and had a corner sofa with a small coffee table. The king-size bed was huge, exceeding my expectations. The pool was also large and very clean. My only minor complaint was that the housekeeping during our extended stay was a bit haphazard. They didn't replace our slippers, so we had to use the same disposable pair for five days straight. It also seemed like there was no comb, I'm not sure if it was forgotten or if they don't provide them, so I used my own.
