Hotels with Breakfast in Bologna

I was upgraded from the basic room to the suite because of my birthday, even though I didn’t as! Didn’t expect that at all, got a terrace with sun loungers that made my day even more perfect 😊 staff was also helpful with recommendations for breakfast places nearby, super happy that I chose nh hotel over mercury, will definitely stay again if I come back to Bologna 😊

This hotel is directly opposite the train station, offering standard 5-star amenities. The lobby is grand and comfortable, and the rooms are spacious, equipped with a coffee machine, beverages, and a kettle. The bathroom's shower and vanity are bright and clean. It's the perfect place to come back to for a quiet and relaxing rest after a busy day of meetings! 👍

The hotel was only a 15-20-minute walk from the train station. The rooms were much bigger than expected with a comfy couch (and blankets) and TV. There was also an Alexa set up and she played music when directed and was pleasant. The kitchenette had ample utensils and cookware, but no napkins or paper towels. They supplied cold water in a pitcher as well as several bottles of wine (NOT complementary, but reasonably priced. The prices on the list in the room differed from the prices at the front desk, tho.) The complementary slippers were used every day as the tile floors were chilly. There was always enough hot water in the showers, but one bathroom light was out the whole time we were there (reported it to the front desk on the first day and they said they already knew about it, but were waiting on maintenance to fix. We had to make due without it for the six days we were there.) There were instructions on how to use each of the appliances (much appreciated!). It was a short walk to restaurants and cafes and the shopping district. Great accommodations for the price point and lots of room.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel this past July for almost a week with the recommendation of Enrique. When I first arrived along with my husband, the people at the front of the door helped open the door. Checking in was very smooth with the help of the manager in the front (Laura). We were easily checked in and escorted upstairs to our room within a matter of minutes. Room was great with a nice patio overlooking a section of the Arno River. The location of the hotel is very nice as it is walking distance to the River. I even walked there during sunset hour. It is beautiful. My favorite part of the hotel was the breakfast buffet. In my opinion, it is better than the ones in America. The food was delicious. It was nice to try the coffee with their coffee machines. Might I add, not all hotels offer a juicer. While traveling, it can be hard to stay healthy so that juicer was very nice. The room was well air conditioned. It was well kept. The housekeeping lady did an amazing job keeping the room tidy. It was nice coming back to a cool room. Also, I forget the name of the young lady bartender... she was very nice and accommodating. The front desk even helped call the taxis when necessary since we're not from there. The lobby was also a nice place just to relax and cool down while waiting for a ride or just lounging. Would definitely recommend staying here and coming back again.

The staff is available 24hrs at the counter! There's a shower soap, and they also provide a free towel to everyone! It's not in the center of the city, but there's a small cafe inside of the hostel, and It's just 10-15 mins walking from the station.

Good location and the room is very nice. It is just located opposite to the train station. Highly recommend for a stay. The service is very good too.

Although the hotel isn't in the city center, it's not too far away. It has free parking, which is great for those traveling by car. If you turn left when you exit the hotel, there's a large Extracoop, making shopping very convenient.

Downtown; convenient; the room is small but at least clean and has a nice Italian style. Don't expect too much else. Of course, there's no elevator, so be aware of that. The hotel will inform you in advance, of course.

This historic hotel is at least 50 years old with lovely vintage charm. Rooms are spacious, bright and spotlessly clean. Boasting an unbeatable central location in Bologna’s old town, it is surrounded by countless restaurants, plus an amazing gelato shop right next door. The only downside is mild street noise at night until late hours. Still, the fantastic location makes it great value for money. Breakfast is average with limited choices. Bologna is a charming city full of history and local life, and I would happily stay here again on my next visit to this city！

I enjoyed my stay at the Astor :) the room had a funny smell, the breakfast was very uninspiring, and one could hear every noise from every corner all the time, but the room also was large and comfortable and the bathroom was good and everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful - it was a relief to stay at a place where it felt a lot like being at home. I definitely would stay again.
