Mercure Bologna Centro

The location is very good, close to train station. The breakfast is very good. But the heating does not work.

I guess it all depends on expectations - I booked it because it had really good recent reviews at the time but I was disappointed with the experience. The rooms look like they have been relatively recently renovated but because everything in the rooms is cheap and basic and there are marks and stains on the walls they appear tired.  The style is basic functional so you should not expect much in terms of comfort or coziness. The hotel is poorly ventilated so there is smell in corridors and in the rooms. I changed a room because there was additional smell coming from the bathroom.

Good location opposite Bologna train station Nice breakfast.

Location of the hotel was the highlight, it was literally opposite the train station. There were shops and supermart nearby the hotel as well so it was convinient. The room was good and clean, with the view facing the courtyard. Breakfast was good too with a nice selection of food and drinks. Only downside is that it was a 15-20 mins walk from the city center but we enjoyed the walk from the hotel to there. Overall a very nice stay and place in Bologna!

All was good. But hotel has strict restrictions about changes even for a personal reasons

Strategic good location; stone throw away from Bologna centrale train station & via dell independenza. Will definitely stay here again if we visit Bologna. Highly recommended!
