Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe room wasn't huge, but the location in Reading is absolutely central! Turn left out of the hotel and walk straight for three minutes to reach the train station. Downstairs, you'll find convenience stores, a shopping center, cafes, and bars right on your doorstep. There are also Chinese, Korean, and Japanese supermarkets, Japanese restaurants, Vietnamese pho, Chinese, and Western restaurants – everything you could want! Plus, you can tap your card for 24-hour unlimited bus travel, which saved a lot of time and effort! Really loved it, thank you!
GGuest User**3-Star Review for voco Hotel**
I recently stayed at a voco hotel and had a mixed experience. The hotel has a modern and vibrant atmosphere that I really enjoyed upon arrival. The décor is stylish, and the overall ambiance is inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring a warm welcome during check-in.
However, there were a few areas that could use improvement. While the room was clean and well-appointed, I found it to be smaller than I expected, which made it a bit cramped for two guests. Additionally, I encountered some minor issues with the amenities; for instance, the Wi-Fi was somewhat unreliable at times, which was frustrating during my stay.
The hotel's location was decent, with several restaurants and attractions within walking distance, but it wasn't as central as I had hoped. Overall, voco has a great concept with its focus on sustainability and unique twists, but a few tweaks could enhance the overall experience. I would consider staying again, but with slightly lower expectations.
GGuest UserVery nice hotel, they have games like ping pong and darts in the reception area to play for free and a nice bar. Rooms are very spacious! When we checked in they stated 24 hour bar and reception desk but when I went down at around 3am I didn’t see a worker. But I would come back here again!
GGuest UserWe had a lovely stay here for a wedding 15 minutes drive away.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating at all times.
The only comment I would like to raise is that we were given room 9 which was described as an accessible room (which we didn’t need) but it was completely inappropriate as accessible as the shower ( which was in the bath) would have been completely unsuitable for a wheelchair user, or someone else with difficulty moving who wouldn’t have been able to climb into the bath to use it.
Breakfast was excellent.
GGuest UserAlthough the environment is old, well-equipped, it is cheap enough, the front desk brother has a good service attitude, and he opens the door to receive me very late in the morning.
AAnonymous UserThe rooms in this hotel are very comfortable, the color matching is just right, the design of the whole room is very modern, and the attention to detail, from every furniture to decoration, reflects the quality guarantee.
