Located in the heart of the Old Port, the Grand Hotel Beauvau invites you to a sunny, exclusive Marseille stopover. In a contemporary ambience, the historic hotel of Marseille has retained its timeless spirit in the style of George Sand and Frederic Chopin who stayed there. ": Francois is a credit to the hotel! 10/10 service
I recently stayed 2 night and had a wonderful experience, largely thanks to the exceptional service provided by a staff member named Francois.
Francois was incredibly helpful from the moment we met him. He took the time to explain everything in perfect detail—from the hotel amenities and breakfast hours to the best ways to get around the city. His communication was clear, thorough, and really made us feel welcomed and informed. It's rare to find someone so genuinely dedicated to making sure guests have a great stay.
He is truly top class. If you want a stress-free check-in with all the information you could possibly need, ask for Francois! Thank you for a great start to our trip.”"

"A wonderful hotel, just a 15-minute walk from the old port. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and responsive—every single employee was smiling and attentive. This is so important in hotels of any caliber! The room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was not included. In the lobby, there's an area where you can grab water or make coffee 24/7. Nice little touches. I'd happily return to this hotel."

AAnonymous UserThe location of the hotel is excellent, it is in the Bourse building of the Old Port area and within walking distance to the port area and museums. Service is good, and the front desk staff is friendly and helpful.

SstephaniezhuzhuI chose this hotel because it is close to the train station and convenient to take the airport line the next day. The location is very good, just a few steps from the subway station, two stops to the old port. Most of the attractions in Marseille are around the old port.
There are not many hotel rooms, the room is not big or small, if you open two large boxes, there is a little restriction on walking.
The room rate is early, there are not many breakfast options, there is a courtyard where you can eat breakfast, you can have a cup of coffee in the courtyard.

NNat 李凤临Cleaning ladies were demonstrating 53 days in front of the hotel when I arrived. The rotating door was covered with mud and confetti, while the black women danced to loud African beats. A complete shock! They continued during my stay…
The front desk was super helpful after I contacted their manager. My flight was delayed and I arrived a day late so they managed to modify my reservation without extra payment. My card didn’t work so I gave a cash deposit and they sent me an email when my suitcase that had been delayed arrived (so as not to wake me up).
The housekeeping was average- twice they didn’t restock the water. Once they forgot a cleaning chemical. Another time they didn’t restock the decaffeinated capsules. Also they could have been more generous with the toilet paper. It’s the very thin recycled one, that goes fast.
Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant spacious, with a garden overlooking the marina.
The room was large, modern and quiet, with an amazing view of the harbor, including both sunsets and sunrises! I even saw the incredible half an hour long fireworks for Bastille day right under my window!
The bed is big and comfortable, pillows a bit too soft, lighting is good but there are no toiletries (which was initially problematic due to the lost luggage).
Room service wasn’t available the only night that I wanted to order it - due to Bastille day celebrations.
The QR code don’t work on my phone so I had to call the reception to order. Also there was no alcoholic drinks listed, plus I had no fridge in the room, so I couldn’t fully relax and enjoy my holiday.
The hotel doesn’t have a spa, which is a shame. So I made a reservation online and got a massage in the Hammam spa a few minutes from the hotel)very expensive and not great). The closest one to the hotel was closed.
The pool is gorgeous but in another building which requires another elevator to be taken at the ground floor. A bit of a hassle…The gym is basic but good. Gets pretty busy and dirty at the end of the day.
There are many nice restaurants nearby and even a small Proxi shop. There is a bus stop 1min away, that goes to the Terrace du Port. And the taxi conveniently dropped me off right in front of the hotel.
The Mucem and Cosquer caves visible from the hotel, are a bit pleasant 25min walk away and the well worth the visit.
Overall, I was satisfied with my stay, and would come again if the above issues were resolved.

GGuest UserSecond stay at this hotel. Convenient for when traveling to / from the cruise port or airport. The hotel itself is very nice, small but great character and good facilities. We had a double floor mezzanine family room. Great room with comfy beds, clean, good amenities and nice bathroom, fridge, coffee machine etc so everything you need. There are two big downsides to this hotel that are out of their control. The old big French doors / windows look great but are not good at all for sound. We were on the 5th floor and heard cars, sirens, mopeds and people until the early hours and this does impact sleep. The second thing is the area, not a pleasant place at night. Lots of
Homeless, rough sleepers and not a welcoming place. For us, simply going there to sleep and be comfortable and have a nice room it was good and we’d stay again, but it is expensive when you consider the area and noise at night vs some other better located hotels in Marseille

GGuest UserThe bed is quite big, maybe not as big as a king, but two adult women won't feel crowded. The room is a bit old, but it's still quite clean. There is a shower and a bathtub, but the seal of the shower room is not well pasted or old, and it leaks. The balcony faces the port. The rooms with balconies are all on the lower floors and face a road to the port, not directly next to the port. The view is average, and Marseille is always windy in winter, which feels quite tasteless.
The breakfast is average. I don't know if there are not many varieties in the off-season, but the restaurant is high and you can see the whole Marseille. The popular seats on the terrace are not open in winter (and it's really cold). The hotel has a basement where you can pay for parking, 32 euros a day, and the entrance and exit are very narrow, so be careful. But this location is convenient for highways. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the center of the old port. The area around the hotel feels safe, and it's no problem to walk back after dinner in the evening.

XXibanyalaodaiThe room is spacious, but the location is a bit messy. I dare not go out on the surrounding streets. The hotel does not have its own parking lot, and there is no temporary parking space in front of the hotel. Self-driving travel is not recommended. The parking lot recommended by the hotel is a bit far away and costs 30 euros a night.

GGuest UserThe biggest advantage is that the train station is very close. The train station is on a high ground. It is very difficult to pull boxes in the city, such as the old port. It is recommended that the subway taxi is closer. The whole Marseille has various heights and lows. ibis is mainly soundproofed. The sound of other neighbors closing the door is not loud outside the window. Breakfast is really good at this price hotel.
TTravelereMy GF and I spontanepusly needed a place to sleep during our travels. The best discription would be a hostel styled place with private rooms. Unfortunately its not well isolated and showers/toilets are shared. Hotel permises are gated and secured with an entry code, parling is available at no additional costs. Overall good service for price that is paid
