Guest UserI highly recommend the Wutongshu B&B in Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village! The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room offer direct views of the entire Miao village. During the day, you can gaze down at the terraced stilt houses and mountain mists, and at night, lie back and watch the twinkling lights of countless homes. You get to enjoy stunning views without having to jostle for space at a viewpoint. The owner and housekeeper are exceptionally warm and welcoming. They helped with our luggage in advance, provided thoughtful guidance on travel routes, and even prepared warm tea. Their gentle and enthusiastic hospitality, full of genuine human touch, made our stay comfortable and restorative. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation when visiting Miao Village!

Before we even checked in, the customer service team reached out to confirm our arrival time and sent us a lot of helpful information. On the day we arrived, our butler was already waiting for us at the ticket gate and helped us with our luggage all the way – we really appreciate it! After checking in, the butler gave us a detailed overview of the scenic routes and activities available at the B&B, showing incredible care, patience, and responsibility 👍. Even after checking out, they helped us take our luggage to the entrance, truly going above and beyond! The B&B's location is also fantastic – no stairs to climb; you get off the sightseeing bus right there. It's perfectly situated by the observation deck with unbeatable views. Our only regret is that our stay was too short this time, and we didn't get to fully experience everything. We'll definitely be back!

DingbengbengOpening the window reveals layers of terraced fields and swirling mists; mornings are filled with birdsong, and nights bring a sky full of stars. The scent of rice wine drifts through the wooden house, and the sight of an elder woman embroidering on the veranda adds to the gentle charm. The bedding is comfortable, and the food has that homely, slow-cooked flavor. Unlike the impersonal feel of a hotel, this place feels more like staying with a Miao family you've known for ages. Time truly slows down here, where all you can hear is the wind rustling through the rice paddies.

CathereineStaying at Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village for these three nights felt like living among the clouds.
I booked three different room types, and each one felt like a custom-made viewing frame. The layered beauty of the Miao village, from the misty mornings to the illuminated 'river of lights' at night, was perfectly framed before my eyes. The biggest surprise was the afternoon tea served daily from 2 PM to 8 PM. Those rose pastries, with their crispy crust enveloping a sweet floral fragrance, left a lingering aftertaste that I still recall fondly.
But what truly touched me were the 'people' on this trip. The butler service was impeccable from the moment I arrived at the West Gate. On the way in, they meticulously escorted me and my luggage all the way to my room, and on departure, they handled everything smoothly, allowing me to travel light and simply enjoy the scenery. This kind of thoughtful care made the beauty of the Miao village more than just a landscape; it was a comforting warmth of being truly looked after.
Three nights, three perspectives, and consistently thoughtful service. I will definitely be back.

This trip to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village was a real find! This B&B is nestled in the mountains, and opening the window reveals an endless panorama of green hills and staggered stilt houses – truly a healing and tranquil natural landscape. The location is a huge plus; it's very close to the main scenic area road and transportation hubs, making it super convenient to explore the village and get in and out of the area without long detours or steep climbs.
The most heartwarming part was the incredibly genuine owner. We had a lot of luggage, and he proactively helped us carry it up and down, saving us the fatigue of hauling heavy bags up the mountain. The service was thoughtful and attentive. The room was clean and tidy, and the mountain air was fresh. During the day, we watched the misty mountain views, and in the evening, we enjoyed the glittering lights of the Miao Village. The overall atmosphere of our stay was perfect. It's excellent value for money. Staying here in Xijiang was absolutely spot-on, no regrets at all. I'll definitely choose this place again next time and wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

I highly recommend staying at this guesthouse. The location is absolutely fantastic, both day and night! It's truly the best vantage point in the entire scenic area. Any designated observation decks in the area simply can't compare. The photos and videos I took from my guesthouse balcony turned out amazing. The facilities are excellent, and the environment is exceptionally clean. Most notably, the owner's service attitude is just wonderful. Having visited numerous scenic spots across the country, I consider this to be the number one guesthouse I've ever stayed at.

We arrived in Xijiang and were immediately met with such a kind surprise—they upgraded our room for my birthday, which truly set the tone for our entire stay. We were on the third floor with the most wonderful view, looking out over their little water feature and the village beyond. Our balcony, complete with a tea set and two chairs, quickly became one of our favorite spots. Sitting there, especially in the evening, felt magical—like we were nestled among the stars overlooking the town.
The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the viewing platform and easily accessible down into the main village. Arriving was also incredibly smooth. As first-time visitors to China, we were quite nervous navigating trains and logistics as English speakers, but the hotel staff stepped in early with clear, thoughtful guidance. From the very beginning, they were attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind.
When we arrived at the North Gate after taking the shuttle into the scenic area, a staff member met us and carried both of our bags up the hill and stairs to the accommodation. This was such a thoughtful gesture—especially because the terrain can be challenging. (For future travelers: if possible, avoid bringing heavy suitcases—but if you do, you’ll be very well taken care of here.)
Check-in was seamless, and our room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities we needed. They provided water, soft robes, and made communication very easy via WeChat. Breakfast was also a highlight—we opted for the Chinese breakfast, which was light, healthy, and a perfect way to start the day before exploring all the incredible street food in town.
We especially loved the communal living space—a cozy café-style area with a balcony overlooking the village. It was such a peaceful place to sit, have tea, and take in the views both during the day and under the night sky. They also had everything you could need: a coffee maker, dishes, mugs, and even fresh spring water, which was a lovely touch.
The warmth of the people here truly made the experience unforgettable. The housekeeping staff were so kind, and the younger staff members were incredibly helpful and attentive. It really felt like being welcomed into a home rather than just staying at a hotel. And the little cats around the property made it even more special.
On our departure day, we were running late for the last bus, and one of the younger staff members carried my very heavy bag down the hill and practically ran with it to make sure we made it on time. He stayed with us until we were safely on board. That level of care and service is something we will never forget.
We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, thank you, thank you again to the family and the entire staff for your kindness and for taking such wonderful care of us. You made our short stay in Xijiang an absolute pleasure and a weekend we will remember forever.

I stayed in Xijiang Miao Village for two nights, and I'm so glad I chose this guesthouse. From my bed, I could overlook the stunning spectacle of a thousand households lit up at night. In the morning, opening the window revealed terraced fields and stilt houses shrouded in mist, like a traditional Chinese ink painting. The location is perfect – the surroundings are quiet, yet it's just a short walk to the bustling center of Miao Village. Plus, there's no need to climb stairs with luggage; the host contacted us in advance, guided us, and even helped carry our bags to the room, which was incredibly thoughtful. Watching the thousand-household Miao Village from the balcony at night with a gentle breeze was an absolutely perfect experience! Every little corner of the guesthouse has a great ambiance: the outdoor balcony, rooftop, fire pit, and cafe. The room was clean and cozy, and the housekeeper provided attentive service throughout our stay. In the morning, there was a comforting breakfast, and the hot noodle soup was absolutely delicious!

Guest UserThe beautiful Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village feels like a journey through time. In the early morning, a thin mist hangs over the wooden stilt houses, and the distant chirping of birds creates a refreshing atmosphere. As night falls, the village lights up, and the bustling crowds fill the entire Miao Village with life and energy. Besides the captivating scenery, there's also mouth-watering food, with every bite tasting like home. Friends who are planning to visit Miao Village, come and experience this unique charm! We stayed at Shawan Homestay, which has a comfortable environment and an excellent view. The butler service was warm and attentive, and the facilities were very upscale. We were very satisfied with both the stay and the food. This trip was delightful!
