A very special homestay shop. The B&B area at the foot of Hengshan was originally a unified government-built house, with the same specifications. But the owner of this store is a designer, and he personally renovated and designed a cave style, which is different. The location is excellent, very close to Nanyue Temple and Hengshan, just a few minutes walk. The service is very good. The front desk will take the initiative to contact the day before check-in. The route will also be arranged to pick up and drop off the station. You don't have to worry about the whole process. The room has a full range of facilities, and the toiletries have their own brand logo. It can be seen that the boss is very careful. The service staff is very good and will provide various play suggestions. Very good experience.

The room was spacious and very clean, and the service was excellent. Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping aunties were incredibly friendly, and the attention to detail in their service was impressive. The late-night noodles were delicious – I had them two nights in a row! This is hands down the best hotel I've stayed in in recent years across all aspects. It will definitely be my first choice whenever I'm staying at the foot of Mount Heng.

Visit Date: November 30 - December 2 2025 __ Service: - The hotel owner himself picked me up and dropped me off at the local Hengshan West high speed rail station. - The owner was very friendly and invited me to try some extremely high end tea. As I was a solo traveller, he also invited me to eat with him - trying some local dishes and sharing a few beers after. - The owner offered to do a guided tour of some local attractions. - The service is very personalised as there are only 12 rooms, with the owner himself personally serving guests and explaining the history of the local area. __ Property: - The construction is extremely high quality, with Tang-style aesthetic in the rooms, but a modern, western style common area and cafe. Having visited many boutique hotels in more remote areas, emphasis must be placed on the materials, polish and finish - giving a very sleek feel. - There is a good balance of water features, with a fishpond where you can feed fish. - The valley facing rooms have very good framing of the scenery including river and mountains in differing depth peripherals. - The layout, location and surrounding mountainside adds a strong sense of privacy compared to the city. __ Room: - The rooms have high-end Toto bidet toilets. - Rooms are very clean. - The front-desk has different scented candles that can be used in your room. - The furniture and amenities within the room are all brand new and at or above the standard as every 5-star city hotel. __ Food: - The owner kindly covered all 3 meals, of which lunch and dinner were more local, as I was joined by the owner and some staff. All meals are a-la-carte made to order by an in-house chef. - The beef rice noodles with soup was an exceptional breakfast, especially for me who cannot eat very spicy food. (The local cuisine is generally very spicy preference.) - You can pick fresh oranges in the orchard immediately adjacent to the hotel. __ Local Area: - The local area is not as popular for tourism as compared to places like the nearby Zhangjiajie Avatar Mountains. Many attractions are mainly Buddhism related such as temples or a purported 1000 year old Gingko Tree. - The local Mount Heng can be hiked in under 4 hours. - The local city is small and the hotel location is somewhat far from the city centre. __ Overall this hotel provides a very tranquil environment to meditate and destress over tea, while looking at beautiful scenery. For the price point given, it offers a much better value compared to attempting to get the same conditions in the more popular, crowded scenic areas nearby. If visiting the local city or adjacent Hengyang, this hotel is by far the most unique experience, as almost all other high end hotels are just the high-rise business hotel type.

The hotel is incredibly close to Mount Heng Scenic Area, just a 10-minute walk to the main entrance. It's clean, well-maintained, and offers excellent value for money. The recent renovation ensures a very comfortable stay. I'd consider it one of the best hotels in Hengshan. The front desk service was exceptionally prompt and warm. Even the lobby's convenience store had better prices than outside supermarkets. Overall, our Mount Heng trip was very enjoyable and comfortable.

I came here to know what it is to be at home. The lobby is clean and bright, and there is a dining area. I heard that there is milk tea drink after I heard that there is a meal service. Now the noodles and dishes made by grandparents are really delicious! I will come to live in the future for this meal! Speaking of the room, the quality of the room is far beyond the price. When I went upstairs, the automatic sensor light on the wall of the stairs was on along with my progress. I booked 301 on the third floor. The door said welcome home. The stairs to the fourth floor were still attached to the head. Seeing joy, the details are really super much. It can be seen that the boss's intentions are decorated. After the room was immediately bright, the sensor lights in the whole house were lit one by one. What came into view was a transparent layout, spacious and bright, clean and tidy. A room with a Zen design and a warm feeling of logs was really amazing. 🍵 There are short and scorpion in the area. It’s so cool to sit here and drink tea and eat snacks and play with your mobile phone! 1.5 The twin bed is very comfortable and clean, and there is even a fascia gun at the bedside. Those who come to climb the mountain can use it! All electrical appliances can be awakened or turned off through the smart housekeeper of the whole house, which saves effort. The toilet and shower are separated from wet and dry, the corners are clean and there are no dead ends, the toilet and blue cleaning liquid make people feel very clean, the toilet has small windows, and the ventilation is very good and there is no smell. In addition, there are TVs, small tables, sinks, lamp mirrors, the equipment is very complete and full of details, just as comfortable as in your own home. The location of the homestay is also super convenient. It is just behind the temple. If you want to burn incense and worship Buddha, you can go to the first floor to find your grandmother to buy incense. The price is really convenient. Because there is a short distance from the main road, the noise is very small, the view outside the window is good, if you come by car, you can contact the boss to reserve a parking space. This price is really the best homestay I have ever stayed in! If I insist on the shortcomings, I can live for a day, and I will have the opportunity to come with my friends in the future, and I will stay here!

Very very satisfied with this hotel! The lady boss is very nice, free parking in front of the door, free breakfast, the room has a 1.8 large bed 🛏️ and two 1.5 small beds 🛏️, clean and tidy, and I slept very comfortably. Toiletries are also very good. When we were preparing to climb Hengshan Mountain, the landlady chased us out and gave us three bottles of water. She also told us to come down the mountain and take a rest. In short, we have been traveling for a week, and this last stop left a perfect impression on us. Thank you. ! grateful! Had a wonderful rest in the room. The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic during check-in, introducing all the hotel's facilities. They even called in advance to ask about my room preferences. Every staff member I encountered in the hotel greeted me warmly. It's located near Nanhua University, and there's a snack street nearby. The room facilities were complete, the shower was a wet/dry separation, and there was plenty of hot water. The soundproofing was good, and the TV screen was large and supported screen mirroring. Checking out and getting an invoice was also convenient and quick. I slept exceptionally well at night; the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. I'll definitely consider Atour for my next stay! Highly recommend!

The hotel is in a very good location. There is a river in front of the hotel. It is very comfortable to walk along the river after dinner. The decoration of the hotel is quite comfortable, and the front desk service is also very warm and thoughtful. The hotel breakfast is also OK, and the rice noodles are delicious.
