Amazing
GGuest UserBooked Deluxe King Room with breakfast included. Room was spacious and breakfast was great. Yet the standard of housekeeping was far from satisfactory. First, hairs were found at the wrap for the wire of the hair dryer the moment I checked in, and small scrap of paper was also found on the inside of a towel. Without any notice/sign in the room about the hotel's green housekeeping policy (if any), towels heavily loaded on the hook and hangers in the bathroom were not collected even on day 3 of my stay (there was no bath tub in the room to place used towels). Packs of cotton pads, cotton buds and small soaps were not refilled even when totally used up. Interesting enough, when enquired with front desk if that was the hotel's policy not to so collect the towels and make the refill unless express requests were made, the answer was in the negative. The charging of tips for breakfast is another interesting issue. My husband stayed at the hotel for 2 nights (with breakfast included) before my arrival. When he checked out, he was asked to pay for tips for 1 breakfast. After clarifying if tips should be paid for 2 breakfasts instead, front desk apologized for having wrongly charged for any tips as all charges should have already been included when making the hotel booking. Yet on our checking out after 5 nights' stay with the hotel, we were told that we had to pay for tips for 2 days' breakfast. We again enquired about the hotel policy and explained that we were willing to pay but wondered why tips weren't charged for all 5 days for our stay. No explanation was given and the staff (probably thought that we did not want to pay) just advised that the charges would be waived. I have stayed at Park Hyatt Bangkok and the service was excellent. Was thus surprised to had those experience at Park Hyatt Toronto.

GGuest UserThe king rooms are not set out properly. Bunch of small things but they are needed . Hooks in bathroom to hang up clothes or towels. The small useless closet is so small that you can’t hang up anything long .. good for t shirts .. my particular closet was torn off the wall and tilted forward, scared even to use it .. the French cleat that supposed to hold it against tge wall was broken. The mattress is a piece of crap . Could have used a sofa in this large room and all they had was a small chair ! The Tv has absolutely nothing on it for programs .. the hotel is geared to get you to the ****** out of your room. God forbid if your no feeling well or if you have children . The ****** restaurant I believe it was called casual the food is slightly overpriced but thats to be expected. We went twice the evening was ok … food was good . But breakfast well let’s just say it was needs a lot of work. Who has no spoons for coffee ??? Only one jam container in tge entire restaurant which I had to get because the service was horrible, no cutlery was set on table and had to go get it . The couple next table was waiting so long for extra paper napkins had to go to the bar and get more , at which point they brought some for us because I was looking for the same ..if your paying a premium for food pls make sure the service and table setting are perfect. Thats it for this visit

NNgMoonI was initially apprehensive about staying in an ”old” hotel, but my worries came to rest. It was similar to a cottage theme with very clean rooms and adequate amentities. Staff were always very friendly, greeting us everytime we leave and return to the hotel, and responds promptly to our housekeeping requests. 10 minutes from the hotel, there is a park with a calming stream, a great place to rest and rewind from the busy city life. Nearest train station is just 5 minutes walk away, and a 30-45 minutes car ride to downtown. Some downsides though, there are no nearby restaurants besides the one in the hotel, and no nearby supermarkets. Utensils were not provided in the room so be prepared to bring your own set. Hotel lifts seem a bit worn out but had not broken down during my stay. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay given the calm surrounding vibes and amazing service. I would consider returning in the future

MMatt88Totally disappointed. We were visiting my son in Toronto. I stayed with my son. My sister and her friend stayed at Royal York mainly for the location and history. I seldom travel in North America because hotels are just too expensive. I favoured Asia much more. We had lunch at the restaurant. There were 5 of us. Services were very slow. One of us ordered steak and eggs for lunch. Steak came with no eggs. The server brought eggs later with no apology. We ordered coffee. Coffee came with no cream and sugar. Oh well. The final night of our stay i had dinner with 2 of my old friends and we went back to lobby bar to meet my sister for a drink. We were seated and there was no server to be seen. When we raised our concern to the manager Karen, she promptly asked us to leave even though we told her we were hotel guests. She intended to embarrass me in front of my friends. It was a first time I got kicked out of bar without even drinking. So we moved across the street to a nice local bar. We were seated and served a bottle of wine at half of the price. I would like to have Fairmont to provide a response from Karen for the reason for kicking us out. So our destination was Montreal and we chose Queen Elizabeth Fairmont. We learnt from Royal York. We avoided the food and beverage at the hotel. I am a seasoned traveler and a Diamond member at Trip.com. This is probably the worst experience I have had in last 10 years of travelling worldwide. I will definitely avoid Fairmont from now on.

GGuest UserThe hotel is ideally situated of the front of the lake with the ferries to the islands just outside. An underground stop is just across the road with links to Union station and elsewhere. There are also a selection of buses that pass and a hop on hop off stop is about 10 mins walk. You can walk most places in central Toronto from hotel if you wish and are happy walking. You can choose which street suits you best on your walk and change route for variation as only a block apart and will all get you to central Toronto. You are maybe about 15 mins from the Blue Jays and CN tower so hotel is in a great location. Billy Bishop airport is about a 20 min walk and would be convenient if you can get flights to or from there to your destination. The communal areas in the hotel look very nice, as is the entrance if being dropped off by car. However there is work going on around the outside of the hotel and if walking to and from the hotel it isn’t so pleasant on the eye. My bedroom was spacious but felt dated and would be nice to see a more updated look. However the view onto the lake more than made up for that minor irritation. The staff were all great and helpful when asked. There was various things going on from regular activities in the leisure area to free ice cream and wine ( not together unfortunately ) and music in the afternoon. The leisure facilities were great with a pool, sauna, steam room and gym as well as an outside area (5th floor) for sitting outside while the kids could play. There was a tennis court and a basket ball hoop. There was also an oppertunity to use cycles and go for a run possibly with a guide. We didn’t eat at the hotel so couldn’t comment but the did have a restaurant on the top of there south tower that would give great views. We did grab a coffee and snack from across the street and would enjoy sitting on the benches just along from the hotel looking into the lake in the morning. All in all one of the older hotels ( I think) in a great location with great views and facilities which met our needs.

Kkimi_cheThe Shanghai auntie at the front desk was so kind and let us check in early. The service was incredibly attentive, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The restaurant service was fantastic, especially the bacon and potato hash. The hotel is located right in the heart of Toronto, making it easy to walk to all the popular attractions. Plus, there's a big supermarket on either side of the hotel.

AAlanSpivackA great hotel in a prime location. The Radisson Blu is situated right on the harbor. It is surrounded by iconic locations, great restaurants and attractions. The CN tower and Roger Center are just a few minutes walk. You can walk along the harbor boardwalk or sit in a nice cafe and watch planes take off and land at the small island airport just across the water.

GGuest UserRoom and overall space was excellent. We’ve stayed before within the year and eagerly returned. Rooms are very well appointed and very well cleaned and maintained. Cleaning service is “every other day” but we found them always accessible on our floor for a towel or such. Free coffee and tea a perk in main lounge off of entry lobby. Front desk staff are always polite, helpful and smiling. Location is ideal -Longos grocery two blocks above, with the subway in that same building lots of eating options on Bloor and throughout the village.

GGuest UserI decided to stay in a 4 room mixed hostel for 3 nights. Upon arrival I was greeted by staff. Check in was very easy. The staff were very helpful as this is my 2nd time staying in a hostel. They explained how the hostel works and what was expected and how to access the different parts of the rooms and were I would be staying. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was provided with a keycard which provided me access to the hostel. The hostel appears to be very secure due to the keycard system as you need to use it to access different sections of the hostel (main check in room, common room, hostel floor levels, hostel rooms, etc). I was very happy about this as it provides some level of safety for those staying there. The room I stayed in was clean. Beds were nice and clean. Beds also had a night light to use for reading and multiple electrical outlets. Lockers were provided in the room and were nice and big to store your personal belongings such as clothes and backpacks, etc. Room was warm and easy to breathe in. Free Wifi was good and signal strength worked through out the entire hostel so I could access simple internet and messages if needed. Showers were clean as was the bathrooms on the floor I was provided. Free clean towels are available upon request. Shower room had shampoo and bodywash available which was nice to see. 2 Nice common rooms to sit down and watch tv or just sit and enjoy the atmosphere. There is a nice big common kitchen room with 2 stoves, 2 big sinks and 2 huge refrigerators. The hostel has lots of plates, utensil, appliances and various household items you would find in your kitchen at home. The hostel kitchen was well stocked. Kitchen was clean and organized and could accommodate lots of people. Nice fridge to store your items that need refrigeration. The area in which the hostel was located was very nice as everything was within walking distance of less then 5 minutes to 10 minutes. This includes many restaurants, convenience stores, coffee stores, grocery stores, banks and much more. The stores all seemed to operate late hours and some were 24 hours. Free breakfast was provided which was nice. Simple but nothing extravagant. Various types of bagels, cream cheese, various cereals, fruits, fresh coffee, tea and other items you would expect. The only downside was the furnace/heater mounted in the corner of the room was loud at night and seemed like it was on its last legs as it sounded like car engine. Staff were friendly and said they could provide me another room in the morning if it was a problem and said they would let management to look into heater for repair. The only thing I could say I would recommend to the hostel is for any type of improvement to have some safety grab bars installed in the stand in shower room stall as the floor does become slippery. Other then that the hostel was nice, safe and staff were friendly/helpful, clean and everyone staying there was friendly or quite as well. The price was affordable and I would honestly recommend this place if you needed a place to stay without breaking the bank. Would honestly give 4.5/5 for based on my stay.
