Hotels with Breakfast in Darwin

We reached early at 2am on 16th may 2026, room was really spacious and we were looked after very well. Specially Mr Sanjaya Karunathilake the hotel manager was absolutely very cooperative and went out of his way to help us stay comfortable. All the other staff were so helpful and very kind. I would definitely come again to stay in this property, coz location is the most important for us. Thanks to all once again.

Stayed for a week and had a pretty good experience! Parking at the hotel entrance was convenient and free. Right outside is a grassy park, and the harbor bay is just a short walk away. From the hotel window, you can see playground facilities, which kept the kids entertained for a while. It's also very close to the center, just a 10-minute walk to Coles supermarket and that other green-logo supermarket. The crocodile park is also within walking distance. Just be careful of the local Indigenous people there – keep your distance!

The hotel was under massive renovation. Couldn't get a good Waterview room due to that. The front desk staffs are very accommodative and helpful trying to offer other rooms and options. The swimming pool is the best and we really enjoyed it especially in the hot climates.The location is at the Esplanade,directly sea facing with a nice view and big park . Highly recommend!

We checked in at Oaks Elan on 21 November 2025, the day before Cyclone Fina hit Darwin. My husband and I were impressed how the staff kept us informed of what was happening. During breakfast on 22 November, we were told by the manager that the restaurant will be closed until further notice because they have to let the staff go home to be with the family when cyclone hit. We were told to pack whatever food we want from the restaurant to last us for lunch, dinner and possibly breakfast for the next day. We were glad we didn’t go hungry when there was no where to get food when everything was closed. The manager who held the fort on the day and the next day did a very superb job! He rolled up the sleeve and did everything himself when he was obviously very short staff.

The room was really huge and clean! It was great! The staff are very friendly and always smiling. I felt so comfortable there! I'd definitely come back if I get the chance. I didn't try the breakfast buffet, but I imagine it's good. However, I did use the gym and it's very functional, clean, and modern, with lots of machines. Thank you very much!

Mantra on the Esplanade worked well for us for the three nights we stayed. Close to the main shops and eateries so plenty of choice there, with a free bus to the large out of town shopping centre too. The room was clean and tidy though a little dated. We were at the back of the hotel which meant the music and noise from the pubs and clubs nearby could be heard til quite late though it didn’t keep us awake.

My last minute trip to darwin turned to be the best trip with great deal of Air ticket and Accommodation booked with Trip.com H on Mitchell Apartment Hotel is Good Location walking Distance , Room equipped with Microwave Oven, Refrigerator , Dish washer machine, Stove , Room is clean, as well as Safe to stay.

Initially I was given a corner room with poor ventilation, but after negotiating with the front desk I was given a different room, which was much better. The hotel is in a great location, right by the sea, surrounded by parks and green spaces. Unfortunately the sunset market is not open until the end of the wet season in May.

Poor communication with the shuttle service. They failed to communicate the shuttle service would be an unmarked car and did not provide the driver with my phone number. This resulted in a long wait at the airport around midnight, plus several phone calls. The room we were given had hair in the bed and stained sheets. Thankfully, we were promptly given a new room, however, the person who gave me the new room key - passed the key to me and told me the room number and went to immediately leave. I had to ask him to show me the room and help move our bags. (I was travelling with my 8 year old child and by this time it was after 1am). It was a very disappointing and frustrating experience.
