This hotel is super close to the MRT station, which makes getting to the airport a breeze. There are tons of food options nearby too. The room itself isn't huge, but it's spotless and really well-maintained. For a stay in Singapore, this place offers great value for money.

Great location with reasonable price. The hotel is located right next to the Lavender stations. Plenty of hawkers and fast food around the hotel. If you love to walk, you can explore many places around the area within 1-2 km.

Rooms are a bit small, which is expected in such a prime location, but the service was excellent. The hotel's location is super convenient and safe, with a great atmosphere. There's a 7-Eleven right downstairs, and the subway station is just a short walk away, making it easy to get to all the attractions. This hotel definitely exceeded expectations, no regrets! Helen, one of the hotel staff, spoke Chinese and provided fantastic service. She was very enthusiastic and gave us great tips on which sights to see, where to go, and where to find good food. Although there aren't a ton of places to visit in Singapore, the overall experience was really good.

Love the location and the parking, discrete. Just that there isn't much amenities. But as said the location is good and quiet, don't have the hustle bustle of the city area. Housekeeping response is always within reach.

Value Hotel Thompson Singapore is an average place to stay for a short trip. The room is basic and acceptable for the price. However, there were some issues during the stay. The toilet door could not be locked, which was inconvenient. The sink drainage was slow and the water did not go down properly. The walls seem to be made of plywood, so noise from the next room could be clearly heard when people were talking. Overall, it is okay for budget travelers, but improvements are needed for comfort and privacy.

Hello readers, visited a few days ago this Hotel 81 Gold, it's in the Geylang Lor 20, just opposite to Hotel 81 Lucky.

The location for me who loves to drink and dine with the locals was perfectly fine as restos are open till 2 am.

The people are friendly and helpful and the hotel staff was excellent I'll name them, CJ, Aida, Salma and Zai they were all were doing their job wonderfully at the front desk.

The hotel was very clean as per Singaporean standards, at first I thgt I've made a mistake hurrying up while booking this hotel as they done serve meals, but I came to know why, as restaurants were just a stones throw away.

Indian, Chinese, Thai all types of cuisine were available nearby with provision stores, ATMs, medical stores, and a lot of other stuff for all ages.

I'll urge you to check for Hotel 81 it's in budget and clean, the nearest Metro is Al Juneid, I'll urge you to travel by metro, easier faster and cheaper.

Love to Singapore and Singaporeans

I checked in late at night, and the staff was very welcoming. Although the room was small, it had everything I needed. I couldn't hear any noise from the neighboring rooms, only an occasional sound from the hallway, which didn't disturb my rest. There was no need for a power adapter in the room, and it even had a direct drinking water tap. During our stay, the cleaner was a Chinese guy named Xingxing, and he was very responsible and excellent every day!

The hotel is just a short walk from the subway station, and a bus stop is around the corner, making it very convenient to get to the airport. Across the street from the hotel, there's a bubble tea shop, a food court, and a supermarket, so everything you need is easily accessible. If you walk in the other direction, you'll find Ya Kun Kaya Toast and Ah Chew Desserts not too far away, which offer amazing food! For sightseeing, you can even walk to attractions if you don't mind, it's a great way to explore.

I feel this hotel offers the best value for money in Singapore!

The location is perfectly located beside Mrt downtown line, and 5 minutes walk to Mrt circle line.
There are indoor food courts open till 11pm and the morning market  near Bugis with 500m walking distance.

The room was all good except the air con was unable to set to the comfort level. Have called the technician to fix the issues but afterwards the room temperature auto defaults to 21°C.

The hotel was in a good location in one of the most beautiful streets with lots of restaurants and street food. Loved the location a lot. The staff at the hotel were very nice and accommodating , good communication skills. The only issue we encountered was the shower liking and the water flooding everywhere, the offered us another room but all the showers where the same apart from that everything was great cant complain much.

🛏️ Hotel 81｜Budget Stay That Does the Job

If you’re just looking for a place to sleep in Singapore that won’t burn a hole in your wallet, Hotel 81 is your best bet. It was the cheapest option I could find, and honestly, it gets the job done.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the basics I needed. Big plus: my room had a window, which made a huge difference in making the space feel less claustrophobic. Don’t expect luxury — this is purely a functional stay.

It’s not a place for lounging or extended stays, but if you just need a safe, air-conditioned room to crash in after a full day out, Hotel 81 delivers. Would definitely consider staying again for a short stopover.

It is similar to a B&B apartment. It seems to be newly opened in 2024. Its location is relatively remote. Entering from a small road, the navigation can hardly find the door. The interior of the room is relatively simple. A deposit of 200 baht is required at the front desk. Two sandwiches are given for breakfast. , 2 bottles of Coke are provided for free in the refrigerator in the room. There is a 7-11 convenience store 500 meters next to it, and the environment is very quiet.

三人間特別值，是個套間，外面一張床，裏屋兩張床，衞生間也很大很乾凈。雖然沒有窗户，但完全不會悶。
