I would like to compliment all the staff at Centara Karon Resort for making our stay so enjoyable.

A special thanks to Jenny at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful during check-in. She personally escorted us to our room and took the time to explain the hotel’s facilities and services in detail. The staff at the Kids’ Club were also wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring towards the children. Throughout our stay, every staff member greeted us warmly with genuine smiles, which made us feel very welcome.

I would also recommend downloading the hotel’s app before your stay. It is very convenient and provides easy access to hotel information and services.

The room design is modern and comfortable. One feature we particularly appreciated was the ceiling fan, which is quite rare in hotel rooms. Given the humid seaside climate, it made the room feel much more comfortable. The room also comes with a large smart TV, allowing guests to enjoy YouTube and Netflix during their stay.

The resort offers three different swimming pools to suit various guest preferences. As a family traveling with a child, we especially loved the family-friendly pool facilities. My son had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed every moment there.

The hotel’s location is another great advantage. Convenience stores such as 7-Eleven and Watsons, along with numerous restaurants, are all within walking distance. Beautiful Karon Beach is also easily accessible on foot.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend Centara Karon Resort to families, couples, and anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Karon.

We booked a luxury sea view room and a pool villa, which are single-story bungalows nestled in the hills just around the corner from Patong and Karon beaches. However, the location also presented some inconveniences. Firstly, getting from the lobby to the rooms required calling the hotel's 'Tuk-tuk,' which meant waiting. If you walked uphill, even with good stamina, it would take about 6-8 minutes. Secondly, because it's built into the hillside and integrates with nature, there were more crawling insects and mosquitoes. I got quite a few mosquito bites, and at night, there were sometimes strange animal sounds outside. Luckily, I knew this beforehand, so I wasn't too scared. Thirdly, the property is a bit old, and the facilities definitely need renovation and maintenance. The air conditioning was so loud it affected my sleep. On the second night, I simply turned off the AC and used the ceiling fan before bed, which was quiet and not too hot. The dining here was pretty good; breakfast was ample, and dinner tasted nice! You just have to get used to shooing away the fruit flies. There's a path from the public pool leading to Karon Beach, but the downside is I got bitten quite a bit along the way. In summary, if you're looking for a relaxing hotel stay and beach time, this place is decent! But for going to lively areas, you'll need to book a ride-sharing service.

We really enjoyed our stay at Waterfront Suites Phuket by Centara. The apartment was spacious, clean, bright, and very comfortable, with a beautiful sea view, large windows, and a balcony that made the stay even more special.

It was an excellent option for a family vacation because there was so much space — comfortable bedrooms, a big living area, and a dining space where we could relax together. The apartment had everything we needed for a pleasant and comfortable stay, and it truly felt cozy and welcoming.

The location was also a big plus, with the beach nearby and a very relaxing atmosphere around the property. Overall, we had a very positive experience and created wonderful memories here.

Thank you for your hospitality. We would gladly stay here again.

It was a very pleasant time in this hotel. The staff is super friendly, the room was clean and there was everything we needed including mini-kitchen. The breakfast was good but I would add some hot porridge for children, there were only different kinds of muesli with the cold milk.

Let's start with the pros:
1.  Located in the Karon Beach area, the hotel has a relatively private beach. The beach is very clean and perfect for playing in the sand and water, suitable for both toddlers and older children.
2.  The hotel boasts several swimming pools of varying depths, making it ideal for families with kids.
3.  Overall, the hotel service is decent, with only a few exceptions.

However, there are also many cons:
1.  Aside from the one or two restaurants within the hotel, dining out in the central area requires a taxi ride starting from 200 Thai Baht, which means 100 RMB for a round trip. Walking takes over 15 minutes, and the steep slope leading to the hotel entrance is quite unsafe to walk on. Tuk-tuks don't feel very safe either.
2.  At 3500 THB per night for a twin room during Chinese New Year, the hotel feels quite run-down. While the hygiene is acceptable, the facilities are far behind what you'd find in high-end hotels or B&Bs in China. The toiletries are also very poor; you have to call to request toothpaste and toothbrushes. The bathtub was also very dirty.
3.  The breakfast isn't suited to Chinese tastes, and there are a lot of Indian tourists.
4.  The female duty manager at the front desk, Nicky, had a terrible attitude. She kept frowning every time I asked a question, as if I owed her money. She should be fired!
5.  They gave us the worst room, right on the edge (see pic P20). I don't know if it was discrimination or just a coincidence. I had specifically requested a room with a better view at the front desk, and clearly this room type is available in every building, yet they still gave me the worst one. It was during my complaint that Nicky started frowning impatiently.

A new hotel that opened in 2025. We really like the cleanliness and services from this hotel. That’s totally perfect. My parents are celebrating their anniversary in Phuket so the hotel makes us the surprise. We really appreciate it ! And also the extra sofa bed with blanket and pillow is very nice ! Overall is perfect. Thanks Nont and Air the crew from this hotel but I’m not sure whether I sleep correct their name or not haha

Everything at Centara Grand at CentralWorld was great.  The location is superb!  The spa and gym are great.  The staffs are so friendly.  The welcome drinks at the top of the hotel was beyond words.  The tapas the Spanish restaurant, Uno Mars, was lovely.  It is also connected to the convention centre as well as the shopping mall.  The only downside is the mall will be closed at night.  We have to walk outside on the street to get back to the hotel.  It could be tricky when it rains.  Otherwise, it was a very nice experience at this hotel.  Awesome!

I stayed for 4 nights, and the location was super convenient. It's not far from the Airport Rail Link; you can take it and then walk to the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, making for a comfortable stay. However, the cleaning service during my extended stay could have been more thorough, as there were some hairs on the floor that weren't swept up. The area around the hotel is very lively, with Big C, Pratunam Market, and Central World all within walking distance. Extremely convenient!

The facilities feel a bit classic, which is understandable as they were popular a decade ago. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes. There are also many local shops and restaurants in the nearby mall, making it a recommendable choice.

Very clean, and the service was excellent. Initially, I was given a room with a view of a rooftop, which felt quite desolate and a bit creepy. I called the front desk and they kindly switched me to a pool view room. I think there was a deposit, maybe 500 THB/night? I can't quite recall. The pool lights seemed to have an issue; even after I reported it, the staff who came to fix it couldn't get them to work properly. However, being a chain resort hotel, the quality is definitely reliable. It's also very close to the city center but not crowded at all, and there's a 7-Eleven just 200m away. I had a really pleasant stay and felt very safe here.

The hotel looks new and clean. The staff service is standard, neither good nor bad. The room layout is well-proportioned and not cramped. Room amenities are provided, though perhaps not as comprehensive as a 5-star international chain hotel. For instance, there's no toothbrush and toothpaste set in the Premier King room. I booked it with breakfast for around 2,800 baht, but I can't say if other room types have similar facilities or not.

However, just one night before, I stayed at Centara Life... in Bangkok. This hotel's room, air conditioning, and bed are superior. The service here is also better, with no negative points. The breakfast is clearly much better here, with more options and looking more appealing than the same brand's offering in Bangkok. What I appreciate most is the cleanliness of both the room and the hotel's public areas. There's a 1,000 baht security deposit, which can be paid in cash or credit card guarantee. Bank transfers are likely not accepted, which is understandable, even though many 5-star hotels don't charge a deposit. The only minor criticism I have is during checkout, the staff asked for the receipt to refund the deposit. I secretly wondered if I wouldn't get my money back if I couldn't find it, as my partner said it was probably left in the car. Honestly, for a 4-5 star hotel, customers shouldn't be burdened with keeping or presenting such a receipt, should they? Personally, I think the staff was right to ask, but this system feels a bit old-school. I'd expect this at a daily rental apartment or guesthouse, not a hotel of this caliber, allowing customers to walk back to their car to find a 1,000 baht deposit receipt to get their money back.

Another minor point, though it would be good if addressed, is that the staff seemed a bit stiff. I didn't notice it upon check-in, but when my partner and I walked past four staff members after dinner, all of whom saw us, none of them thanked or greeted us. I didn't really expect it, especially when staying in a provincial area that might not have as many large hotels as major cities like Bangkok, Pattaya, or Phuket, where service industry competition is high. The staff might be locals, so expecting a very high level of service mind comparable to what the hotel's standard should be might be unrealistic.

Nevertheless, overall, this hotel is quite good across the board. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to friends and acquaintances. Thank you very much, and if I have the opportunity to pass through Ratchaburi again, I will definitely come back to stay. Thank you! ❤️🙏

Pros: This hotel is of good quality. I enjoyed the food, the room was big, the pool great for kids. If you stay inside the hotel and do not need to go outside it’s a perfect place for you. The stuff is friendly. 

Cons: We stayed here for 1 week. I had some unpleasant experience during my stay which spoilt my opinion about this hotel.

There was a huge trampoline which looked safe and covered BUT! There was a hole in it, which was covered with plastic and my baby fell in it.  

We had problems with ac. The stuff instead of fixing it only made it worse. Maybe this is misunderstanding or miscommunication. We stayed with 1 year old baby where the ac is an important point not to catch a cold.

The breakfast is really tasty and the food is good. But there was almost always no place to sit and you need to fight with other people.
- Baby chairs? The stuff is not helping to provide them. You need to fish by yourself. 
- Places by the pool- not enough, and the hotel got overcrowded on weekends

No direct passage to the sea. You need to walk around to get there and there is a shuttle bus, but it only works from 10am, which is not okay, as the sun starts to be too strong by 10am. We usually already get back to hide by this time.

We chose a two-bedroom suite for our family trip to Pattaya. It was great, as the two rooms were connected and had three large beds, easily accommodating 5-6 people. Centara is a well-known company in Thailand, and the hotel's location is fantastic, with plenty of restaurants right outside. Terminal 21 shopping mall is also only about a kilometer away. Aside from the slightly dated facilities, everything else was perfect. Even though there were many Indian guests, it didn't bother us at all.
