Ark Properties in Beijing

Staff was kind and accommodating. Room was a great size and everything was pretty clean. However the biggest problems we encountered was that our bathroom kept having the most disgusting sewage smell despite us leaving the fan on whenever we were in our room. The walls were also pretty thin so we could easily hear neighbors especially when they walked past our room. Would recommend if you’re on a budget but honestly I’d spend a bit more money and go somewhere else with access to a mini fridge, 2 room key cards (here only 1 comes with your booking and the second card costs extra), and actually smells good. Good location

I stumbled upon this hotel on a booking app and read the negative reviews (as is my habit). Based on my own understanding, I felt the reviews might be incorrect, and there weren't many. So, I booked a room with a try-it-out mentality. From the moment I entered the lobby, the receptionist, Ms. Li, was gentle, lovely, and enthusiastic, which made me realize one of the negative reviews was wrong. Then, upon entering the room, the comfort of the room, the effectiveness of the air conditioning, and the cleanliness convinced me that the other negative review might also be incorrect (there were only two negative reviews in total)! One should be honest, for a hotel within Beijing's Third Ring Road, with such a large room size, a new hotel, and nice decor, the price is extremely good value. Regardless of what you think, I've decided to extend my stay.
