Beach Hotels in Koh Lanta

Huge thanks to Pimalai Resort & Spa for their meticulous care throughout our trip. From the moment we were picked up at Krabi airport to the thoughtful send-off upon departure, every detail was incredibly touching. The staff's friendly and attentive service, coupled with their proactive and professional demeanor, made us feel incredibly welcome and relaxed during our entire stay. The hotel's spa was also outstanding; the expert techniques significantly relieved and improved the fatigue from our travels. The quality of the restaurants was equally impressive—fresh ingredients and delicious dishes, especially the Thai restaurant, which was truly unforgettable and left us craving more. Receiving a small dessert from the hotel when we left was a lovely and warm way to conclude our entire journey. Overall, our stay was incredibly satisfying, joyful, and filled with memorable moments. We look forward to returning here in the future to continue enjoying this unique and warm vacation experience.

The house is clean, the bedding is comfortable, the boss is very attentive and considerate, and the recommendations are all good. The facilities need to be improved. There is no hair dryer or kettle. You have to ask for it before you can get it. It feels so strange. Is there a hair dryer for washing hair? Why bother? The deposit of 1,000 is also strange. I stayed in 6 hotels during the whole trip, and this is the only one that requires a deposit. It may be due to the peak season. I booked a room on Ctrip. 8 Chairman Mao tickets for one night are too expensive and do not match the facilities. I think 4 or 5 tickets are OK.

There were so many mosquitoes in the room that we couldn't even swat them, so we had to buy mosquito swatters and lemongrass from Big C!! And the room had a strong pungent smell. The staff informed us that when cleaning, they would use food deodorizer from the guests. The pungent smell was so strong that we couldn't sleep!! The area where the hotel had breakfast, there were so many mosquitoes. While eating, many guests had to keep swatting mosquitoes on their arms and legs. But what we saw was that the staff didn't offer mosquito repellent to other guests. My partner and I sprayed a lot, but the mosquitoes still found a blind spot to bite us!!! Some of the breakfast was set up without anything special, such as bread, sandwiches, and desserts. We saw flies land on the food, and the staff didn't try to help chase them away!!!! We booked 2 rooms, paid for them, but stayed only 1 room and then checked out because we weren't happy with our stay at all. We had to worry about mosquitoes in the bedroom and while eating. The pungent smell didn't fade even after 1 room!!! It was such a terrible experience that we didn't want to endure it. Willing to forfeit the cost of one night's accommodation

I rarely give 10 out of 10 but moonlight deserved. Location is great.North is noisy and a little bit crowd, south is not convenient. Moonlight is in middle of lanta and just near the sea.It has its own beach and there is a wood cabin you can lay down to get massage. Food is good.My package includes breakfast.There are fresh fruits, bacon,yogurt .I stayed 2 days in moonlight ,the 2 days' breakfast is same but delicious . Room is clean and towards to ocean.I booked ocean view room and the view is stunned. Service is 11 out of 10! Staff is very polite and enthusiastic.You can fell everyone is so happy then you'll become happy too.Trust me, moonlight is perfect place to chose.

Front desk not very welcoming when check in. Did the job checking in and explaining the deposit, room, breakfast restaurant, beach location. Issued us the room key and informed us the room direction, then we realised the check in is completed and we can be on the way to the room (1st time without hotel staff of this type/size of resort bringing us, not a big deal). Strangely one staff did ”pop up” after we left the reception building, offer to bring us to the room. We rejected since we figured we can manage. One good point is we get to check in earlier than the designated time. Room has unpleasant smell when first enter, but got use to it after a day (after house keeping next day). Room size is big, has a bath tub (did not use), a bed room and living room. No TV in bed room, TV in living room but limited TV program. Have two huge pool, one among the blocks, one nearer to the beach. Initial impression was not great, but after a few days, got used and get to enjoy the stay. Good location (good local restaurants, convenient store, laundry shop nearby), great pool, breakfast consider ok but could be better. Stayed during the end of the popular season, resort not crowded. Will I stay again? Yes, for the pool and during low season, less tourists. No, will try out other resorts along the same stretch of the beach.

There is breakfast, it is a case, the environment is very good, very feeling, very quiet, the beach is beautiful, the sunset is super beautiful, the hotel rents a motorcycle is very convenient, 250 plants solve the traffic problem one day.

We stayed here in what was the peak season…many resorts and hotels were sold out in Ko Lanta. The staff are all friendly and genuinely will help and be kind if you are respectful and kind too. The location is perfect. Right in front of the beach and close to cafes, restaurants and local eateries as well as 7/11. The hotel itself has so much potential but it is looking very tired and run down. We stayed in a room that should have had a pool view but all we saw was trees. The room did smell a bit musty at first but this soon disappeared with the smell of sunscreen, and personal fragrances. Previous reviews people wrote about the old, musty towels. This is true. They smell musty, old and are tired looking (bring your own if you can). The beach loungers in front of the pool were perfect each day but it’s a real hit and miss game of who can “bags” a lounger first. Many tourist staying at the hotel would place their towels on the loungers first thing in the morning and wouldn’t even be seen on the loungers until after lunch. In my opinion, the hotel staff need to change this and man it in a different way during peak season. Too many entitled people thinking they own the sun loungers because their shoes were placed next to them 🙄🙄 Overall, if you’re looking for somewhere to rest your head at night, with hot showers, friendly staff, okay breakfast options and mostly clean premises this resort is good. If your more of a person who prefers to spend time inside their resort and looks forward to all the extra amenities then I suggest you try somewhere else 😬

The location of the hotel is very good, right on the beach. The handsome guy at the front desk is very enthusiastic. He booked a room connected to the pool. You can play in the pool by opening the balcony. The BBQ and dinner are very delicious in the evening. I ate dinner on the beach for several nights. ,very happy. Both the elderly and children like it very much. It's a good time to watch the sunset, and the price-performance ratio is very high, which meets everyone's wishes.

Rooms in small, quiet, and well-maintained individual houses. While not offering the level of comfort we expect from European hotels, the value for money is excellent. Their beachfront terrace is truly lovely, perfect for both swimming and relaxing in the shade. They offer a drinks and food menu, but it was a bit pricey for us.

Near perfect place. The hostess is particularly friendly. Any problems were solved immediately. The hostess's son is very cute and well-behaved, helping to take the clothes rack before and after running. What a good lawn, I like the environment of this resort very much. The simple breakfast is not bad. The location is very good. There is also a fruit smoothie shop. There are several places to rent motorcycles at the door. It is very convenient to go out to eat and ride a motorcycle? It would be better if you could repair the broken refrigerator appliances. All in all. This place made me feel warm and friendly. A place full of love. An almost perfect place. The hostess is extremely friendly. Any problems were solved immediately. The hostess's son is very cute and well-behaved. He helps carry clothes racks and runs around. What a nice lawn, I love the setting of this resort. Simple breakfast is also good. The location is very good. 711 is just outside the door. There is also a fruit smoothie shop. There are several places to rent motorcycles at the door. Is it convenient to go out to eat and ride a motorcycle? It would be better if the broken refrigerator appliance could be repaired. all in all. This place made me feel warm and friendly. A place full of love.
