"Very friendly staff upon entry and exit. Venue was able to store luggage as we were there earlier than check in time and we were also able to use the amenities such as the bathrooms/showers/ patio area/kitchen. Room is smaller than expected but still quite cozy and comes with shower gels, shampoo, towels ! Would recommend to bring a pair of slippers. Central location is very convenient and next to most attractions making them walkable."

AAnonymous UserThe room is very clean and spacious, one of the cleanest rooms we’ve stayed in. The room is great, however we had issue with the ac. It’s equipped with the controller that has AC and heater option, but the AC was not working and it kept blowing out hot air no matter how cold we set the dial. Upon checking with reception, we were told during November they switch the entire building system from ac to heater option so individual rooms have no way to override this. The room has massive windows so that has kept us cool. While we are in Nov, where weather is getting colder, the week that we were in Barcelona has great weather and temperatures still at the 15-20degrees so would have thought they would also consider the climate instead of just having a scheduled date to switch over everything to heating..
There are loads of breakfast options, but no egg station. Hot food option not the best, bacon and scrambled eggs overcooked and not really good quality on sausages. For those who enjoy cold breakfast selection like the pastries fruit and hams etc it’s much wider selection they provide here compared to other hotels.

The two twin beds for a solo, but it was comfortable. Hotel and room were clean and I felt safe in both the hotel and the neighborhoods. Good proximity to El Borne and Barcelonta as well as the Metro. Good restaurants and convenience stores close. I would stay there again as it worked well to rest after full days out and about. Breakfast is good quality, fresh, and plentiful.

GGuest UserIt was a great stay, the staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and the location was perfect. Close to all the busy spots and near the water too. The only thing is it would be nice if the pool and outside area was open all year round not just summer, they could put heaters and heat the pool that would have made it a perfect stay, nonetheless it was great.

GGuest UserReception staff were great but the hotel lacked atmosphere. It looked quite dreary. The bedroom was clean and well equipped although a kettle would have been useful in addition to the coffee maker as not everyone drinks coffee. The bed was really comfortable. The pool area was deserted and the floor of the pool was dirty. There was nothing inviting about the area and we didn’t want to spend any time there. There were a few supermarkets close by. The breakfast was ok but the choices were a bit limited, however there were some good touches with soya milk and vegan yoghurts.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a sea view from the window that was relaxing both morning and evening. The front desk staff were friendly, and both check-in and check-out were efficient. The location is convenient, with easy access to dining and transportation. However, some facilities are a bit dated, and the soundproofing isn't great. Overall, it offers good value for money and is suitable for a short vacation or business trip.

AAvicLocation is a so-so for me. Just 10 minutes walk to the nearest metro and it's a paved road all the way to the hotel which is good for travelers with luggages. Room view was nice as well. The hotel is situated near the beach which is a plus and the sorroundings were clean. The Service is perfect I could say because I made some changes with regards the check-in process and they were kind enough to reconsider my request. The hotel provided us with combs and toothbrushes and other hygiene stuffs which is convenient for those who forgot to bring theirs. Their buffet has a lot of options so you could really choose on what to eat. So far everthing went well with our stay.

The day we arrived it was very late at night and we were exhausted, and the person at the front desk instead of continuing with the check-in and showing us to the room started asking us if we took a taxi because apparently someone else staying there needed a taxi too. So we had to wait at the front desk while they sorted out someone else's problem first, which was frustrating.

From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff were incredibly warm and efficient, always with a genuine smile, and patiently answered all our questions. It wasn't just the front desk; every staff member throughout the hotel, from the pool attendants to the restaurant servers, made us feel comfortable, cared for, and truly valued. My elderly travel companions are quite particular about their food, and they had a few unconventional requests. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate them, and that feeling of being prioritized was truly wonderful.
The room's view also deserves a special mention! The moment I pulled back the curtains, I was absolutely stunned. The panoramic sea view outside was breathtaking and magnificent, with planes occasionally flying by. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, and at night, you can see countless lights twinkling. Even at midnight, people were everywhere on the beach, chatting, playing beach volleyball, and even doing Western-style line dancing. Every photo you take turns out picture-perfect.
Facilities and dining also didn't disappoint. The outdoor pool environment was fantastic; just soaking in it and enjoying the view was incredibly relaxing. The breakfast spread was super diverse, offering a full range of Chinese and Western options, hot and cold dishes, fruits, and desserts. Every morning, we started our day feeling satisfied and happy. For dinner, we opted for a set menu, and the portions were incredibly generous – enough to easily fill two people, and the taste was spot-on.
All in all, whether it's the service, the environment, or the dining, the W Barcelona excels in every aspect. Next time I'm in Barcelona, I'll most likely choose this hotel again! Absolutely fantastic!
