It is definitely a good place to stay for five or six days! I feel that it is the most charming residence on Phi Phi Island, with a seaside cabin, close to nature, walking barefoot on the soft and white beach every day, blowing the sea breeze, and directly entering the relaxation and vacation mode. And the hotel is very quiet. In the morning, you can hear the birds singing and slowly get up, and then have a perfect breakfast. In the afternoon, you can take a nap in your room semi-outdoors and sit in a daze. Occasionally, a small family of three monkeys will visit your room, take some fruit and run away. The hotel's dining is the most upscale choice on this island. The cocktails are first-class, and the lamb chops are great! The spa is also lovely. The service level of the entire hotel is first-class and enthusiastic. Several employees, such as Ms. Ping, speak Chinese very well👍, and the general manager Mr. Becker can also speak some Chinese! In short, it is a perfect resort on Phi Phi Island.

The hotel is located on top of a hill, so you need to take a shuttle bus to get up and down, which takes a few minutes. However, the shuttle only runs once an hour. Breakfast is quite basic; if you add it on separately, it costs 350 Thai Baht, or you can take the shuttle down to town to eat. For the ferry transfers, there are always staff to pick you up and drop you off at the pier, so there's no need to book in advance. I suggest increasing the frequency of the shuttle buses, ideally so they run on demand. The water park was partially open, and the slides were really fast.

Here’s a more refined and balanced version of your review: ⸻ The hotel is located away from the busy, crowded areas of the island, and the views are truly stunning. Waking up to the sea and enjoying the peaceful surroundings is definitely the highlight of staying here. However, there are several aspects that take away from what could have been a much better experience. • The staff is noticeably unfriendly, which feels unusual for Thailand. The atmosphere lacks the warmth and hospitality the country is known for, possibly because most of the team is not Thai. • Cleanliness could be significantly improved. The restaurant area, parts of the resort, and even the beach did not feel as well maintained as they should be. • The beach directly in front of the hotel tends to get crowded, with many sunbeds occupied by towels for hours without being used. • The food is average overall, and the breakfast in particular is quite bland and uninspiring. That said, the sea itself is beautiful and almost makes up for the shortcomings (swimming surrounded by fishes is amazing). It’s worth staying for a couple of days to enjoy the view and the water. You can also head to the nearby, more secluded stretch of Loh Moo Dee for a quieter and more pleasant beach experience.

This hotel is a classic case of stunning views but seriously lacking service and management. There's a complete disconnect between different departments and internal management is a mess. At lunch, the staff were sitting at the best sea-view table with a fan blowing directly on them, while guests had no fan! 😂 After we pointed it out, they turned it towards us. The location and views are definitely the strong points; the room facilities are good, with hillside sea views and a great restaurant view. However, the front desk and management are totally out of sync: senior management said there was a free speedboat shuttle, but the front desk said no. It's clear there's no internal training or communication. The dining issues were even worse: I found a fly in my Tom Yum soup, and they just refunded the money without any apology or explanation. Breakfast also had flies everywhere, and their measures to combat them were completely inadequate. The in-room phone ☎️ wasn't working, so I had to use the hotel app to message them for things like calling a car (due to the hillside location) or extra towels. The responses were a bit problematic and inconsistent.

Facilities: The garden villa room is spacious enough, with extra beds available in both the living room and bedroom, which was very convenient for our family of two adults and two children. The large balcony dried clothes quickly. However, the room was a bit old, the air conditioner was noisy, and the bathroom door creaked loudly every time it opened or closed. Service: We requested a room close to the snorkeling area in our booking, and they gave us a spot right in the middle of it, which was great. Upon arrival, we received welcome juice and a detailed resort explanation presented kneeling, a very nice touch. Food was delivered to the room, and overall, the service attitude was excellent. Environment: The resort has abundant vegetation and is quite expansive, making you feel like you're staying in a forest. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes; after lying by the pool for a short while, I ended up with seven bites on my back. Every morning around 5 or 6 am, you can hear monkeys, various large birds, and boats, making it difficult to sleep in. Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well. Aside from that: On our first day, we went out to a restaurant recommended by reviews, and our whole family ended up with food poisoning, spending two days recuperating at the hotel. Before leaving the island, I felt a bit disappointed and decided to check out the underwater situation. Luckily, I spotted Nemo! Nemo's location: From the restaurant, walk along the beach to the first beachfront room with a pool. Enter the water and look about 1 meter outside the right side of the floating buoy area, as circled in the picture. The anemone isn't very big, only about 20 centimeters, so you'll need to look carefully.

Phi Phi Long Beach Resort & Villa

I had an exceptional stay at Phi Phi Long Beach Resort Villa. In my experience, this is the most balanced and comfortable location on the island. Other areas tend to be overcrowded and noisy, especially considering that Phi Phi receives massive daily traffic from Krabi, Phuket, and other nearby destinations. Most visitors are day-trippers or short-term guests, while only a small number stay for a week or longer. For a 5–6 day holiday, this area is ideal. I found a very good deal for this hotel and paid 60 USD per night, which is an excellent price for the overall level, location, and quality of breakfast. The rooms are spacious, though some construction materials are visibly exposed—cracks, chips, unpainted surfaces, and panels that could be better finished. I booked a twin room with two single beds, but such a room was not available upon arrival. The hotel provided an extra bed free of charge, resulting in a king bed plus a single bed. Space was sufficient, and cleanliness was consistently maintained. Housekeeping does an excellent job, working daily and attentively. The air conditioning performs well. The shower is basic, just an open floor without separation, but for this price and for an island with limited logistics, this is acceptable. Electricity works reliably. Wi-Fi exists but only functions near the reception area. Rooms are located higher up the hill, and in my unit the signal did not reach at all. This was the biggest disappointment, as I had to rely on mobile data. Reception and restaurant staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel provides a free transfer from the main pier during check-in and check-out hours. We preferred not to rely on the schedule and used long-tail taxis instead: 120 THB per person during the day and 150 THB in the evening. Around the hotel there are many good cafés; walking to the right side of the beach you can find a small, cozy place where we ate regularly without any issues. I would not recommend eating in the main tourist center, where food hygiene complaints are common. The concierge team helps with luggage upon arrival and departure; when arriving by long-tail boat they meet you at the beach and deliver bags directly to your room. The standard tip is 100 THB, which I found reasonable considering the heat and the distance across the sand. The hotel has a swimming pool, though I chose not to use it, as I wasn’t sure about water replacement frequency. Breakfast offers a wide selection, consistently good coffee, and fresh fruits—usually dragon fruit and watermelon, or pineapple and watermelon. The continental options are solid, with a few Thai dishes available. Breakfast was excellent and kept us full until late afternoon. The beach is outstanding, with beautiful water and a peaceful atmosphere. I recommend buying water shoes, as sea urchins are present; I saw them while snorkeling. The water quality, sand, and overall environment are exceptional and fully worth the stay. We visited the central area once and immediately understood that it was not for us: loud, crowded, chaotic, and unpleasant. I would not recommend staying anywhere near the central streets. Long Beach offers everything needed for a perfect stay. I highly recommend this hotel and advise future guests to explore reviews of this specific area, as they will be helpful.

I booked the Ocean Cliff Villa. I am was here on April 19th, and there were not alot people. They have a boat service that picks you up, and drops you off room the pier. There were maybe only 15 - 20 guest , and no kids were there 🙏🏿! The hotel is very excluded from the rest of the island, which is great if you enjoy calm, peace, and quiet. The room was very clean, and all amenities worked properly. (I like it cold, and the AC was very powerful). The WiFi in my room was strong. I streamed Netflix, watched the NBA playoffs, and facetimed my mama while I was here. The staff was very friendly. They always helped us with our bags, gave extra towels when needed, and would give us a ride up the hill if they saw us walking. The room I purchased was indeed up a slope so be very mindful of that if you have limitations. The breakfast was included in my room, and it was good. For lunch/Dinner I ordered chicken fried rice and beef pad thai. It was very good. I am also very greedy and I eat almost anything so I am not the best person to give a food review, lol. I only stayed on night and I am seriously considering adjusting my vacation schedule so I can come back before I return to the states. 1 night was not enough. If you want to party, please do not ome here, and disturb the peace. There are plenty of other places in Thailand for that. If you want to kick back, vibe, and relax this is your place.

The best hotel in Thailand. We suffered for the first 3 night in another hotel on Phi Phi and we couldn’t sleep coz of the loud noises from the beach parties but then we moved to U Rip and it was th best decision ever - clean, new, SILENCE, nice pool and great area far from the parties. But still accessible coz it is like 15 min walk. Totally recommend especially if you are a light sleeper 👌

Service was excellent, every one from the staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for me, but my friend found the long stairs from the road tiring. Cleanliness was good, but there was some moldy spots here and there in the bath room, which is quite usual in this humid country. Only thing is that the shower curtain was moldy too, which would have been cheap and easy to change. Facilities where good, there is an restaurant an little shop in the Hotel, wich was nice for lazy days.

This hotel stay was very nice. The pool view is stunning The hotel owner is very helpful and friendly. She even upgraded our room without extra cost . She even organised someone to pick us up and carry our bags from the pear and from hotel to pear at check-in and check out . She even keeps our bags in a place near to pear for us to pick up in the afternoon for our ferry trip. Staff is very friendly too.
