Phi Phi Natural Resort

Pros: Excellent location, very convenient for snorkeling, and the private coastline is absolutely beautiful with stunning scenery. The staff are warm and polite, and they address any issues promptly. Cons: The water quality is quite poor. The facilities are just average. It would have been better if there was an extra chair in the triple room.

The room was in Long Beach, and the view of Long Beach was great. However, the hotel facilities are very old, and the soundproofing in the room is terrible. It sounds like the people next door are talking right in my room. The headboard faces a mirror, and there's a rather eerie painting. The air conditioner blows directly onto the bed and was also faulty, as was the toilet. Check-out was at 11 AM, and the staff started rushing me before I even left. I forgot my power bank in the room. I sat at the front desk for two hours, and no one asked me if I had lost anything. My item was placed at the front desk, and they just took it away without even asking if I wanted it back.

Had a wonderful island stay. I'd definitely stay here again next time. I went with my wife and kids during the summer holidays, and the hotel is beautiful, as is the beachfront. You can tell they put a lot of care into maintaining the various garden landscapes within the hotel. When we arrived at the pier on North Phi Phi by boat, hotel staff were there to pick us up and help with our luggage. The hotel provides free life jackets for guests, and there are two snorkeling areas marked off with buoys on the beach, which gave us peace of mind when playing with the kids. The hotel's own restaurant has moderate prices compared to others on this beach, and the food is good. The breakfast included was also decent, offering great value for money. The sunset spot within the hotel grounds is beautiful and close by – definitely recommend checking it out. Regarding the viewpoint at the northernmost tip of Phi Phi, the last 500 meters of the path are mostly overgrown and rough. If you do decide to walk there, I suggest bringing a stick to fend off any critters. The hotel's infinity pool has a good location, though it's a bit small. However, there are two sun loungers with amazing sea views. The view is fantastic, and large trees provide shade all day, so you won't get sunburned. Lying there with the gentle sea breeze is truly a superb experience. I even watched the live broadcast of the World Cup match between England and Argentina from there on my phone in the middle of the night. If you head south along the beach from the hotel lobby, you'll find longtail boat rentals. There are always boats available, and chartering one to Tonsai Bay only costs around 1000-1200 baht. Alternatively, you can walk ten minutes to the cargo pier on the other side of the beach, which also offers nice views and plenty of fish, making it a good spot for fishing or watching the sunset. Continuing south along the coastline to the end of the beach, you'll find a paved road accessible by vehicles. There are modified motorbikes waiting by the roadside that can take you to most places on Phi Phi Island via land, and the prices are reasonable, cheaper than longtail boats. Finally, a minor complaint: when checking out, the hotel charged 500 baht per person for the longtail boat back to Tonsai. Not only is it a bit pricey, but there are also fixed schedules, meaning you have to wait. I don't recommend it. Overall, I rate this place highly, and its value for money is even better.

Overall, it's pretty good. The northern part is great for a pure vacation, especially enjoyable at low tide. You can find a lot of things by the sea, like various crabs. Breakfast is just average. The scenery is nice, and there's also a resort sunset shop.

The independent cabin rooms are great, with beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly. It's very convenient for watching the sunrise and sunset.
