From the moment you enter, you can feel the attention to detail and the high standards throughout the property. The rooms are beautifully designed, comfortable, and well kept, and the public areas of the hotel are equally impressive, stylish, and welcoming. The facilities and services offered by the hotel are excellent, especially the spa, which provides a relaxing and enjoyable experience and adds a lot to the overall stay. Above all, I would like to highlight the outstanding service provided by the hotel team. The staff are professional, attentive, caring, and genuinely committed to making guests feel welcome and valued. I would especially like to mention Anna from the Concierge Department, who was exceptional. She was extremely professional, kind, attentive, and always willing to assist with any request. Her personal attention made our stay even more special. JW Marriott Bucharest offers a wonderful combination of luxury, comfort, and outstanding hospitality. A highly recommended hotel for anyone looking for a premium experience in Bucharest.

Location of this hotel in the old town is the perfect base for exploring central Bucharest. Couple of mins walk to tram stops. 5 mins walk to the Central Park. Hotel is lovely, modern feel and trendy slogans and decor. Staff were amazing here, we felt very welcome. They were very helpful on check in and check out. Breakfast was really nice lots of healthy options but also some nice treats too. Hot breakfast items were limited to scrambled egg, hard boiled egg, toast, smoked bacon and sausage but was adequate to fill up before a day exploring. The room was spacious and with modern decor and fixtures. Would def stay there again.

The hotel exudes classic elegance, and the service was nothing short of exceptional. Special mention must go to Daniel, the bell boy, whose dedication to guest satisfaction went well beyond his duties, setting a remarkable standard for hospitality. The hotel's layout is thoughtfully designed, making navigation effortless for guests coming and going throughout their stay. Its pristine cleanliness and classical architecture create an atmosphere of refined luxury that perfectly complements its historical surroundings. Location-wise, the Grand Hotel Continental could not be better positioned. Stepping out of the main entrance, guests find themselves directly on Bucharest's main thoroughfare, with an abundance of restaurants, shops and cultural attractions within easy walking distance. The city's finest museums are mere minutes away, making it an ideal base for both leisure and business travellers. Whilst the breakfast was available, we found it rather expensive for what was offered. However, this was not an issue as we discovered a charming café directly across from the hotel that provided excellent morning fare at more reasonable prices. The rooms maintain the classical elegance found throughout the property, with comfortable furnishings and all modern amenities one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. The attention to detail in both the public spaces and private rooms reflects the hotel's commitment to maintaining its historic charm whilst providing contemporary comfort. In conclusion, the Grand Hotel Continental Bucuresti offers a superb hotel experience in the heart of Romania's capital. Despite the breakfast pricing, which is easily remedied by numerous nearby alternatives, the hotel's outstanding service, perfect location and classical charm make it a splendid choice for anyone visiting Bucharest. We had a lovely stay overall. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the room was a good size — very pleasant and well kept. We were quite happy with the overall experience. Breakfast could be improved, as there weren’t many healthy options available. Most of the choices were heavier, American-style dishes, so a bit more variety would make a nice difference. It would also be great if the room cleaning were a bit more thorough each day, rather than just making the bed and changing towels. When guests pay for a hotel stay, consistent quality and attention to detail are always appreciated.

She provided us with amazing suggestions for places to visit in Romania, turning our holiday into an incredible experience. Her local knowledge and enthusiasm made all the difference, guiding us to hidden gems we might have otherwise missed. The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to all tastes. It was the perfect way to start our days of sightseeing. The hotel's location is very convenient, with easy access to Bucharest's main attractions and public transport. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, Mercure Bucharest offers a welcoming and comfortable stay. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

I cannot fault this hotel. So perfectly situated without being noisy, lovely staff, fantastic and varied breakfast (with excellent coffee), a well appointed gym, spotless and spacious. Thank you for making a solo female traveller happy, well fed and safe.

Stayed one night at this hotel as I was in transit to Zurich and then Toronto. Checked in about noon I disagreed I was given a Superior Deluxe Room with Double Bed. My room is single room is on the third floor; with a single bed, fridge, TV... What almost kills me is there is no lift nor elevator in this hotel. I had to dragged my bag to my room. Luckily the reception lady was nice to take the small bag for me, No overnight staff is there. I checked out at 3.30am to take my early fight. dropped my key at the reception.

I chose this hotel because it's close to my client. The location is quite convenient, very near to the North Station. If you've already bought your train tickets online, 20 minutes is plenty of time to get to the station. The area around the hotel is very lively. There's no ventilation system, so I could only open the window a crack to sleep. Haha, there were still people talking loudly and buses departing even at 3 or 4 in the morning.

In any self-respecting hotel, you would expect basic amenities like toothbrush holders in the bathroom. There were none, so we had to place our toothbrushes on the counter by the sink. Even simple items such as a shower cap were not provided. Housekeeping entered every morning without waiting after knocking. During heavy snowfall, the hotel made no effort to clear a path outside, and we had to walk through snow and frozen puddles to reach our taxi, while other hotels had cleared walkways for their guests. On our last morning, my husband went to buy a coffee and was sent to the dining room. When he made a coffee, a staff member immediately questioned whether we had paid for breakfast and called reception to check, without giving him a chance to say he would pay. She then loudly announced, “Sir! You haven’t paid for the coffee!” as if he were trying to steal. He paid immediately and didn’t even take the change. Overall, this hotel is no more than a three-star property. Management seemed absent, and the staff were unprofessional and inattentive

The stay didn't start well, as my flight was delayed and I had to check in in the early morning. It took two hours until I was finally attended to. However, the rest of my days, with the great atmosphere, good vibes, and available services, left me more satisfied. The shared dorms were spacious, the air conditioning wasn't excessive, and you could either cook your own meals or enjoy a delicious and varied breakfast that was really worth it. I'd definitely come back despite the initial inconvenience. The photo is my best memory, as it's the first thing I saw when I left my room.
