Hotels with Bars in Quanzhou

Escaping the concrete jungle, I sought refuge in a quiet yet vibrant world, and this B&B perfectly fit the bill. The location is superb, offering close-up views of the East and West Pagodas. It's within walking distance of all the places I wanted to visit and trendy spots, and for slightly further destinations, the convenient 'Xiao Bai' (local transport) made getting around effortless. There were absolutely no transportation worries. The room was clean and hygienic, a relief for someone with a mild潔癖 (cleanliness obsession). I loved the oversized vanity and nightstands, and the projector that connects to your phone. I also really enjoyed the small patch of sunlight reflecting from the water outside the window onto the ceiling. The highlight was undoubtedly the rooftop bar at night; the cocktails were all delicious, and I found myself pleasantly tipsy, toasting to distant friends, captivated by the East and West Pagodas under the night sky. The B&B's service understood my lazy nature perfectly. Any request in the group chat was promptly met. Washed clothes, headphones left on the rooftop, and countless food deliveries were all brought directly to my room door. I was also pleasantly surprised to find very comfortable sanitary pads in the drawer. When I asked if I could have a couple more, they brought four or five, plus a warming patch! My only suggestion is for the rooftop bar to proactively inform guests about alcohol content and suitable patrons. I will definitely be back.

The room was spacious, and the service was excellent. Andy was amazing! He reached out early to get my contact information and asked for all my preferences and needs for check-in. Since my flight arrived quite early, Andy arranged for me to check in by 12 PM after we communicated. Many thanks! After checking in, the staff, whether in the restaurant, housekeeping, or front desk—**all the staff**👍—provided service worthy of an SLH hotel, always ready to help. Andy coordinated all the hotel services, and everything was handled with meticulous care!!! My only suggestion for improvement would be to switch to liquid hand soap; bar soap is really inconvenient. 😂 As for the noise, all I can say is that earplugs, milk, and sleep spray were all prepared. Being located in the busy Xijie district, it can get a bit noisy on weekends, but it's acceptable.

This hostel was our first choice because of the positive reviews particularly about the hosts' friendly and helpful attitude and services. They answered all our questions about tourist attraction spots which are not always readily accessible online by foreigners. Very thoughtful of them to provide a hand-drawn map. The location is a plus point for those who want to stay within walking distance to Kai Yuan Shi. It sits in Xijie at the intersection between the more commercialised, touristy shops and day/night markets and shops that the locals frequented. Need to climb some stairs, the highest floor of the room is at the 4th. The luggage will be taken care of though. Worth it as this is the signature red- bricked building of the local Minnan culture.

Cleanliness: The room cleanliness was excellent. I'm a bit of a clean freak, but apart from some glue marks and traces on the walls, everything else was fine. No dust or hair at all. I can honestly say it's the cleanest room I've stayed in during my many trips to Quanzhou. I've been to Quanzhou many times and stayed in numerous places, but your cleanliness is truly impeccable – at least within the guest rooms. However, the corridor from the elevator to the room had an indescribable odor (2nd floor, it was slightly better when I moved to the 3rd floor). It smelled like a stale, stuffy scent combined with an air freshener, creating a strange, hard-to-describe smell, possibly due to lack of ventilation for too long. I'd recommend prioritizing ventilation. But this was the first time I was assigned a room that hadn't been fully cleaned – there was still one pillow on the bed without a pillowcase, and I wasn't informed. Only after I asked did the staff member tell me they were short on pillowcases that day. I could have waited, so I found it a bit puzzling. Facilities: The room lighting wasn't great. The curtain control switch was a bit odd; I couldn't see the curtain's status when I pressed the switch. I love bright rooms, but no matter how I pressed the buttons, I couldn't just close the sheer curtain. In the end, I had to close both. On the 2nd floor, the window view was entirely a concrete wall, and on the 3rd floor, it was someone's balcony. Next time, it would be better to have the sheer curtain drawn, as seeing a concrete wall immediately upon entering isn't a good impression. I know residential buildings are close in Quanzhou, but this could definitely be optimized. Soundproofing was poor, truly. At 2 AM, just as I was getting sleepy and about to go to bed, I heard the sound of a faucet turning on next door, and it wasn't quiet. It felt like it was right next to my head. The door was heavy, making me think the soundproofing would be good, but it wasn't. I could clearly hear when the neighbors left and what they were saying. Sleeping earplugs: These would be great to have in the room. There was plenty of very hot water, and the toilet worked well. These are excellent advantages of the room. The bed was firm, which I really liked. The projector focus could be adjusted a bit more as it was a little blurry. Having a subscription to TV channels was great; I enjoyed watching shows. Environment: It's very close to Zhongshan Middle Road, and the location is the best I've stayed in so far. I feel it's even better than Lushu. I really like Huaxiang, so no complaints there. Service: I'd like to commend the staff member; her attitude was excellent. The afternoon tea drinks were also delicious, and the scones were warm, fragrant, and very tasty. Thumbs up. The scones actually helped to offset my annoyance about discovering the missing pillowcase. I stayed up late, hoping to sleep in a bit later, but the soundproofing was truly bad. Regarding the front desk staff, I only saw them during check-in and check-out; I didn't encounter them at other times. Overall, it could be optimized further, but everything else was okay.

Our overall stay was fantastic! The location was easy to find, the room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. Xiao Zheng at the front desk was incredibly warm and helpful, making the check-in process quick and smooth. The hotel facilities were complete, and the soundproofing was excellent. It offered incredible value for money, making it very convenient for exploring. We'll definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit. Highly recommended!

The hotel is really close to West Street; just a short walk out the door and a right turn takes you to the Bell Tower. It's super convenient for sightseeing and eating, and I could easily grab bubble tea or snacks whenever I wanted. The room was well-equipped with all the essentials, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a tea set, which really highlighted the Southern Fujian local culture – great attention to detail! The biggest surprise was the recommended puppet show theater; they even threw wedding candies during the interactive session, which exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely recommend everyone go see it. Overall, my stay was quite good.

Hilton Quanzhou absolutely deserves 5 star!! The hotel’s interior design is beautiful with a premium, high-end feel. The room was spotlessly clean with no odor at all. The facilities are very complete — everything you need is provided, making the stay very convenient. The staff are super friendly too. Both the front desk and housekeeping team were especially warm and attentive. The location is also great. was a nice experience to stay for two night in this Hotel. The front desk lady was very helpful and she was able to speak English which is the best thing as we speak zero chinese. Very clean and the lobby smells just so beautiful

The rooms were quite clean, and the service was generally acceptable. However, the front desk service was a bit lacking. The breakfast was very average – nothing special or unique, just quite ordinary.

A typical red brick old house in southern Fujian, the location is extremely advantageous, across the road is Kaiyuan Temple, 100 meters walk is West Street, the transportation is well developed, taxis and small white cars are very convenient, eating and playing are very convenient, and in the city center, not far from other attractions. The B&B is very charming, quiet in the bustling, with a scene at every step in the courtyard, a stage, and two 100-year-old carambola trees. The service is very thoughtful and the facilities are complete. You can feel the tea culture of southern Fujian in the courtyard. It is a B&B with culture, and I will recommend it to my friends.
