The Citywell Hotel (Quanzhou Food Street) provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Citywell Hotel (Quanzhou Food Street) offers a pleasant stay in Quanzhou for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is only 11km from Quanzhou Railway Station and 13km from Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. Seeing Quanzhou's sights from this hotel is easy with Chengtian Temple, Guanyue Temple and Su Tingyu Former Residence all close by. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"This is a really nice hotel, located right on a food street with tons of dining options and a lively atmosphere. They have a few parking spots, but you need to inform the front desk when you're heading out. A nice perk is that guests get free tickets to the adjacent swimming pool – just remember to bring your swimming cap! The lounge area on the first floor is a thoughtful touch, offering complimentary coffee, tea, and ice. The rooms are quite spacious, featuring a huge TV and comfortable bedding, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, though the water pressure for showering was a bit low, possibly due to peak usage. Breakfast was decent, but they didn't offer any made-to-order items. It seems the hotel has a partnership with an electric scooter rental shop, but I didn't quite figure out the details or inquire further. The hotel's proximity to various attractions is great; you can easily walk, bike, or take a taxi. Definitely recommended!"

"Facilities: The facilities are very new. Hygiene: The hygiene is very clean and tidy. Environment: It's about a 20-minute walk from West Street, or a very short taxi ride. Service: From the front desk to the service staff on each floor, the service was excellent. The thoughtful laundry service and late-night congee service were wonderful. Even when there were small mistakes, they would explain the reason and rectify them promptly. It left a very good impression. A highly recommended hotel."

Located in the heart of the city, the five-star Quanzhou Hotel (Quanzhou Jiudian) is around eight kilometers from Quanzhou railway station. The architecture of this Quanzhou hotel features classic European style. Guests can select from a list of room such as deluxe business rooms, deluxe business suites and presidential suites. Well-equipped rooms command views of the city and its landmark, two ancient towers.

"True to its reputation as a long-standing 5-star hotel in Quanzhou, the service here is absolutely superb. The hotel has been recently renovated, but it's an older building, so the ceiling height is a bit low. However, the location is fantastic! Just a short walk left from the entrance brings you to Zhongshan Road, a century-old street. It's also only about 1 kilometer from attractions like Kaiyuan Temple and West Street, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. In the evenings, the hotel even offers complimentary grass jelly and milk, which gives you such a warm, 'home-away-from-home' feeling. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. Their thoughtful gestures really make an impression; this will definitely be my top choice for my next trip to Quanzhou!"

"I'm a loyal Atour guest, and my first visit to Quanzhou and this particular hotel left a deep impression on me. Perhaps it's because it's newly renovated, but the room design and layout are excellent, the facilities are top-notch, and everything feels very high-quality. Every detail shows thoughtfulness, from the Atour tea I love to the individually sealed towels, which really puts your mind at ease. They even provide 3M earplugs. The gentleman at reception was incredibly welcoming. I really appreciate Atour's washing machines and dryers; it means I can keep my clothes clean every day and not have to lug a huge bag of dirty laundry home. The lady at the front desk was very responsible; I left my clothes in the laundry room too late at night, and the next morning I found she had neatly hung them on my door. The breakfast is also very rich, featuring both Atour's signature offerings and Fujian local specialties. The location here is fantastic. It's easy to get a taxi, there's no traffic congestion, and you can walk to all the main attractions. If I ever come back to Quanzhou, I'd definitely want to stay here again."

"This hotel was our fourth stop on our road trip south to Quanzhou. While it's not right in the bustling city center, it's incredibly convenient for getting around, with a Wanda Plaza nearby offering plenty of shopping and dining options. We found it to be excellent value for money on Trip.com, and we could even use points to offset the room rate. The hotel has its own free parking, which is a huge plus for self-drivers. Parking spaces can be a bit tight, but the lobby staff are very helpful with directing you. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was a breeze. There's a complimentary coffee machine in the lobby. The bed in our room was quite comfortable, and the decor was stylish and cozy. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the bathroom featured a good wet/dry separation. The shower had great water pressure and flow, making for a very comfortable experience, and a full set of toiletries was provided. On the second floor, there are self-service washing machines and dryers (six in total), right next to the gym. The breakfast restaurant is also on the second floor, and you definitely won't leave hungry!"

The hotel is located in Taihe Plaza, about a 20-minute drive from the old city of West Street, and very close to Xunpu Village, making dining options convenient. The pool is fantastic, but locker #31 in the changing room was quite dirty. Also, the air conditioning wasn't very effective."

The Holiday Inn Express QUANZHOU CITY CENTER by IHG provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Holiday Inn Express QUANZHOU CITY CENTER by IHG is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Quanzhou. The hotel is only 10km from Quanzhou Railway Station and 14km from Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. Seeing Quanzhou's sights from this hotel is easy with Quanzhou string puppet show performance, Guanyue Temple and Su Tingyu Former Residence all close by. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This Quanzhou hotel offers parking on site. If you demand a high level of service, our guests have indicated that this hotel has excellent standards. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"Two adults and two children, we traveled from Chengdu to Fujian, and Quanzhou was our second stop. Even before we arrived in Quanzhou, the hotel called us a day in advance to remind us about the weather and thoughtfully informed us that they would turn on the air conditioning for us in advance – very much appreciated! Our mischievous elementary school graduate was all smiles from the moment we checked in until we left, all thanks to her beloved ice cream, which was a nice touch. The lobby staff were incredibly proactive, helping us with our luggage and even loading it into the taxi. This felt like genuine sincerity, something rarely seen in the service industry these days, unless you're staying at a five-star hotel. While everything else was great, I have two suggestions for improvement. First, on the 8th floor, the windows were always closed. The hotel provides mosquito repellent, but it has a strong scent. I used it the first night, but not the second, and ended up being bitten in the middle of the night, scrambling to find itch relief. The mosquitoes were buzzing in my ear, forcing me to turn the repellent back on. Perhaps a scent-free option could be provided. It's too close to the bed, and the smell is easily inhaled. My other comment is about the partnered Huang Baihe簪花 (hairpin flower) service. I saw the introduction when booking, and since we had some free time on West Street that day, I went directly without taking the hotel card. I mentioned I was from the hotel, and the shop quoted 199 for a set, eventually charging 180. Regardless of whether there was an actual discount for the hairpin flowers, while their hairpin flower technique was good, I felt that all three makeup artists were not very skilled, and their photography was also done by other partners on West Street. It wasn't a great experience. 🤣"

"Traveling with a child, front desk staff member Yechen provided exceptional service. She proactively upgraded our room and a robot even delivered toothbrushes and slippers to our little one, which made them very happy. Later, when my child accidentally broke a mouthwash cup, she promptly helped us resolve the issue. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and our child really enjoyed it, making for a very comfortable stay. The Sunshine Night Market is right downstairs, and Wudianshi is also very close by."

The service here is absolutely amazing! The staff are so warm, thoughtful, and incredibly patient with their explanations. When we checked in, they even gave us a hand-drawn map and went through all the routes, potential pitfalls, and must-see spots. Their recommendations for food and activities were absolute gems – we followed their advice for mochi, mung bean cakes, and the Arts and Crafts Cooperative, and everything was spot-on, way better than anything we could have found doing our own research! They were always ready to help and proactively offered assistance, treating us like friends the whole time. It felt even warmer and more personalized than a five-star hotel. Traveling with my mom was completely stress-free; this guesthouse provided an incredible sense of security and convenience. If you're coming to Quanzhou, this is definitely the place to stay. I'll absolutely be back for a second visit, and I highly recommend it to all my friends!

Five-star recommendation for Quanzhou Lushih Homestay, the most delightful stay of my Quanzhou trip! The location is absolutely perfect, tucked away in a small alley off West Street. It's a two or three-minute walk directly to the East and West Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple, and stepping out, you're surrounded by authentic local snacks. It's a rare find—peaceful amidst the hustle and bustle; closing the courtyard gate completely shields you from the street noise. Converted from a standalone Southern Fujian courtyard, the design is gentle yet refined. Lush greenery fills the small courtyard with an amazing atmosphere. The rooftop terrace is a hidden gem for photos, offering a 270-degree direct view of the twin pagodas. You can watch the sunset in the evening and capture stunning shots of the ancient city lights at night. The room was impeccably clean, the latex mattress was soft and comfortable for a good night's sleep. Smart toilet, hot water, and toiletries were all well-equipped, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring an undisturbed night's rest. The butler service was meticulous and heartwarming. Upon check-in, we received a hand-drawn guide to the ancient city's hidden gems, along with recommendations for local secret eateries, and any requests were met with super-fast responses. The common areas are elegantly decorated, with a tea corner, a small intangible cultural heritage exhibition hall, and you can even experience writing wax-sealed letters to your future self—thoughtful details are everywhere. It's a godsend for self-driving tourists, as it comes with an underground parking lot, directly solving the parking problem in the old city. Breakfast features local old-brand mianxian hu (vermicelli paste) with vinegar-marinated pork, and traditional pastries are complimentary for afternoon tea. The value for money is exceptional, suitable for couples, girlfriends, and families alike. I will definitely stay at Lushih again on my next visit to Quanzhou!

I rarely say this on my reviews, but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Minsu. When I come back to Quanzhou for another family holiday, I will book this place again. Firstly, the location: It is unbeatable. It is near enough to be in the midst of the action in Quanzhou (near the walking street, eateries, restaurants, shopping etc etc), yet very quiet for us to enjoy a good night’s rest, or a good conversation at night over tea. Second, the nice balance between an authentic cultural home and modernism. We had the entire Minsu to ourselves, 6 rooms in total. Renovated about 3-4 years ago, the Minsu gave us the experience of living in an authentic Chinese inn, yet the amenities were modern….comfortable beds, modern toilets, refrigerators available etc….The courtyards were also beautiful. The entire Minsu was tastefully done…..plus it was spotlessly clean. Thirdly, the owners. They were so friendly and helpful. They met us at the drop off point, and brought us to the Minsu when we checked in, helping to move some of our luggages (and they did the same thing when we checked out). They went out of their way to help purchase traditional puppet show (木偶) tickets (at a small discount somemore). After we checked out, my son left his hoodie in the room. The owners assisted to courier the jacket to the next city we were heading to (we were already in the train at that time). And lastly, every morning and every night, either Mr Du, his son or his daughter in law would invite us to join them for tea. They would then proceed to serve tea the traditional way, while having a conversation with us. They also taught us certain traditions, protocols and rules when serving tea. They have a cat called TangYuan (汤圆), in which the kids in the family enjoyed playing with. The only thing to note is that public transport (via taxis and buses) only can drop you off at a spot about 5min walk away. Also, they provide disposable towels, not the regular towels given at hotels. If it is an issue, just bring your own towels. Otherwise, this place deserves 5 out of 5 stars.

Cleanliness: The room cleanliness was excellent. I'm a bit of a clean freak, but apart from some glue marks and traces on the walls, everything else was fine. No dust or hair at all. I can honestly say it's the cleanest room I've stayed in during my many trips to Quanzhou. I've been to Quanzhou many times and stayed in numerous places, but your cleanliness is truly impeccable – at least within the guest rooms. However, the corridor from the elevator to the room had an indescribable odor (2nd floor, it was slightly better when I moved to the 3rd floor). It smelled like a stale, stuffy scent combined with an air freshener, creating a strange, hard-to-describe smell, possibly due to lack of ventilation for too long. I'd recommend prioritizing ventilation. But this was the first time I was assigned a room that hadn't been fully cleaned – there was still one pillow on the bed without a pillowcase, and I wasn't informed. Only after I asked did the staff member tell me they were short on pillowcases that day. I could have waited, so I found it a bit puzzling. Facilities: The room lighting wasn't great. The curtain control switch was a bit odd; I couldn't see the curtain's status when I pressed the switch. I love bright rooms, but no matter how I pressed the buttons, I couldn't just close the sheer curtain. In the end, I had to close both. On the 2nd floor, the window view was entirely a concrete wall, and on the 3rd floor, it was someone's balcony. Next time, it would be better to have the sheer curtain drawn, as seeing a concrete wall immediately upon entering isn't a good impression. I know residential buildings are close in Quanzhou, but this could definitely be optimized. Soundproofing was poor, truly. At 2 AM, just as I was getting sleepy and about to go to bed, I heard the sound of a faucet turning on next door, and it wasn't quiet. It felt like it was right next to my head. The door was heavy, making me think the soundproofing would be good, but it wasn't. I could clearly hear when the neighbors left and what they were saying. Sleeping earplugs: These would be great to have in the room. There was plenty of very hot water, and the toilet worked well. These are excellent advantages of the room. The bed was firm, which I really liked. The projector focus could be adjusted a bit more as it was a little blurry. Having a subscription to TV channels was great; I enjoyed watching shows. Environment: It's very close to Zhongshan Middle Road, and the location is the best I've stayed in so far. I feel it's even better than Lushu. I really like Huaxiang, so no complaints there. Service: I'd like to commend the staff member; her attitude was excellent. The afternoon tea drinks were also delicious, and the scones were warm, fragrant, and very tasty. Thumbs up. The scones actually helped to offset my annoyance about discovering the missing pillowcase. I stayed up late, hoping to sleep in a bit later, but the soundproofing was truly bad. Regarding the front desk staff, I only saw them during check-in and check-out; I didn't encounter them at other times. Overall, it could be optimized further, but everything else was okay.

This hotel is simply perfect! The room was huge, and the cleaning staff tidied up every day. Every evening, they'd bring sweet soups like tremella or red bean, along with fruit, right to our room. The restaurant on the 22nd floor was also great; we could leisurely enjoy breakfast there before heading out. There's a gym and a pool on the 6th floor. Speaking of which, I almost gave a bad review. When I chose this hotel, it was specifically because of their swimming pool. However, when I got there, I found out that during the Chinese New Year period, the pool hours were only from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM. This is exactly when we were out and about! How could anyone use the pool then? I was so annoyed. But, considering their excellent service, I let it go and still gave a full five stars. I also want to give a special shout-out to ”Huihui” at the front desk. We accidentally left something in the hotel fridge and only realized it after we'd checked out. Huihui very enthusiastically helped us find it and even mailed it to us. We're so grateful! All in all, this is a hotel with complete facilities, thoughtful service, and a warm, lovely atmosphere. It's the kind of cozy place that made us look forward to coming back to rest every day after a tiring day of sightseeing.

Time flies when you're having fun, and my trip to this thousand-year-old Quanzhou city has come to an end. What I'll remember most is choosing 2208 Inn, which boasts a fantastic location on the busiest street in Quanzhou's city center. The West Gate of the famous Kaiyuan Temple is just across the road from the inn. From my room at the inn, I could open the window and gaze at the beautiful night silhouette of Quanxi Hall on West Street. I could also hear the bustling crowds of West Street from outside my window. Day or night, the ancient city's streets are lined with a dazzling array of local snacks and delicacies – think Mianxian paste, Ginger Duck, Fujianese crispy pork, with famous eateries right next door. If you want a taste, just head downstairs; they're just a few steps away. Xunpu flower-wearing shops are also everywhere. If you want to try wearing the flowers, just go downstairs, and you can instantly transform into a beautiful flower-wearing girl. What brought me the most joy was the genuine conversations I had with the inn staff every time I returned. The front desk's handsome and dedicated customer service representative, the proprietress's beautiful smile, and the cleaning auntie's meticulousness and hard work all exemplify the inn's warm and thoughtful hospitality. Thank you all for giving me such wonderful memories of the ancient city. It makes me recall: in this thousand-year-old city, in this little alley corner, I unexpectedly encountered your vibrant, almost divine, warmth and vitality. It makes me miss the moment the pigeons flew past the Twin Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple in the morning, the fragrant misty aroma of Tieguanyin tea in an old teahouse in the afternoon, and the golden glow of the sunset over Jinjiang River. Encounters are always brief! I've already made a promise with you – if I ever come to Quanzhou again, I will undoubtedly choose 2208 Inn without hesitation. As the year draws to a close and a new one begins, I wish the inn even greater prosperity and a booming year ahead!

The location is excellent, both quiet and convenient. It only takes about 15 minutes by taxi to get to any attractions or restaurants. The room design is well-thought-out and the size is just right. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and various eateries. Plus, a few minutes' walk away, there's a well-established noodle paste and dessert shop that offers bigger portions and better taste than those found near tourist spots.

This is my favourite city in my trip of 6 cities. This is located inside Yuanhe 1916 Creative Park. It's a very nice place with great location, near to most major attractions. I enjoyed my stay greatly because the amenities was great, it's relatively clean, but most importantly the staffs are helpful without being intrusive. The dorm room comes with attached bathroom, which is cleaned daily. I love the vibe of this hostel even though it's the lull season, not crowded. I almost wanted to extend my stay.

I went to Quanzhou with my friends and booked a three-bedroom homestay. The location is good, the room is big and very quiet. The bathroom is not very good, a little small, and it is inconvenient for two people to use it at the same time, one to take a shower and the other to blow dry their hair. After all, it is a bit inconvenient to have the toilet sink and the shower together for three rooms. Overall it is not bad, I recommend it.
