If you get the chance to visit Longji/Longsheng to hike through the amazing rice paddies, then you absolutely must stay at Li'An Lodge. The rooms are lovely, clean and quaint, and a cultural alternative to the more modern options in the larger cities. The lodge is run by Aaron who goes above and beyond to help visitors, give local recs, and speaks perfect English. He will also help you avoid any tourist traps.  Li'An lodge is also built on the highest point so you have a fabulous view, and is situated right at the starting point of the main hike in local area. The rooms give you a great view of the rice paddies and the village.  The food is simple and great, or you can eat around the town, which is very atmospheric. We came in the low season end of March, which was misty but fab and we had most of the places to ourselves.  Really can't recommend enough. If you get to Guilinxi (station) they will send a driver to get you. You can also book directly with the hotel over email with Aaron which is easy and efficient. 

I rarely comment, because I am busy, but this time I am really surprised. First of all, the enthusiasm and real service awareness of the boss and the proprietress. Generally, even if a five-star hotel does not have such a service awareness, it will really make you feel at home. Feeling, I believe everyone will have this experience. Secondly, the location of the hotel here is excellent. You can see all the terraces outside directly on the bed. This landscape is really amazing. The third is the food here. I am full of praise. The proprietress also sent us her own wine and barbecue. Then during the meal, I will keep paying attention to whether our dishes are cold and then take them to help heat up, etc., it is really a super five-star service. The boss also sent us to the observation deck for free. In short, there is such a super five-star service under such an absolute advantage. I recommend it from the heart. The room was fantastic and brand new! I was surprised to find so many smart devices, comparable to a new hotel, up on the mountain top. The room had a washing machine, a smart toilet, and voice control throughout. The guesthouse facilities were also excellent. Not only was the food delicious, but staying here saved us 100 yuan in cable car fees round trip, as we could enjoy the terraced field views right from our room. The observation deck by the cable car was less than a ten-minute walk away. And finally, for new energy vehicle owners, this place is a blessing – the owner has slow charging available! When we left, the owner even gave us a souvenir and drove us down the mountain. The entire experience completely exceeded our expectations.

What you see is what you get! The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. They contacted us two days in advance by phone, added us on WeChat, and sent our location, while also providing real-time updates on road conditions and weather. They even reminded us to bring our own cigarettes, alcohol, and snacks because it's inconvenient to buy them on the mountain. The guesthouse was easy to find; just follow the navigation along the mountain road. As I often travel with my pets, this was arguably the most pet-friendly guesthouse I've ever stayed at (and also the most human-friendly one). It was also very clean, tidy, stylish, and unpretentious. There was a mysterious big cat named Dali at the guesthouse, which was very cute, but it was so mysterious that I only saw it twice during my two-night stay. Cell phone signal might be a little weak at the mountaintop, but I tested the Wi-Fi, which covered the entire area of ​​the guesthouse. Food options were relatively limited (because we were really deep in the mountains), but the breakfast provided by the guesthouse was plentiful and nutritionally balanced. At other times, you could order food from the nearby farmhouses, which were reasonably priced. After checking in, I couldn't help but exclaim how beautiful it was, with its misty clouds making it feel like a fairyland. I heard it's even more beautiful during the rainy season; I can't imagine how beautiful it will be then. I even considered quitting my job to work at this place. Those seeking tranquility and comfort away from the hustle and bustle can go for it without hesitation; it's suitable for couples, families, and solo travelers alike. Unfortunately, the immersive experience is so intense that I only realized I didn't take enough photos while writing this review.

From the moment we arrived, Jason and his wife took incredible care of us. They picked up our luggage right at the foot of the hill and had it carried up to our rooms while we headed off to explore Ping'An village — such a thoughtful touch that let us start our visit unburdened and worry-free. The views from both the lobby and our rooms were nothing short of incredible — the kind of scenery that feels genuinely healing for the soul. We found ourselves just sitting and taking it in more than once. Jason's hospitality went above and beyond throughout our stay. When my friend developed blisters after a long day of walking, they went through their entire ice supply just to help her ice her foot and get some relief. That kind of generosity and care is rare to find. The decor throughout the property is completely unique — wood carvings and old doors that Jason salvaged and collected from old homes give the lobby and guest rooms so much character and history. It's clear this place was built with real passion and personal touch. We also loved the food at the hotel restaurant, especially the traditional 竹筒饭 (bamboo rice) — simply delicious, along with everything else we tried. Jason and his wife have created something truly special here. Can't recommend Baike enough — an unforgettable stay in every way.

The location is great, just a seven or eight-minute walk from the Ping'anzhai observation deck. The scenery is absolutely stunning, surrounded by mountains. Opening the balcony door from your room feels like you're living in the clouds. We went during the off-season, so there weren't many people. The guesthouse has a traditional Chinese architectural style, all solid wood, and the materials used are very substantial. The only downside is that you have to park in a designated parking lot quite far from the hotel, pay a high parking fee, and then buy an electric cart ticket to get up there. You can clearly drive up yourself, which I found very confusing and inconvenient.

The hotel owner was very kind and welcoming, and the auntie was very friendly and hospitable. The fried noodles she made were delicious; I ate them twice during my one-night stay. The mountain view was beautiful, but unfortunately it was cloudy and I didn't see the sunrise. I'd love to go again sometime.

The experience exceeded expectations, the boss upgraded the duplex, the children especially like it, and always said that it was the best room I have ever stayed in. The room was very clean, especially the sanitary ware was the same as the brand new, there was no water stains and scale, and almost no sanitary corners were seen. The homestay itself is also very beautiful, very close to the Golden Buddhading Observation Deck, you can easily see the sunrise. The terraces in October are so beautiful, this experience is really great!

The boss is so kind! Enthusiasm and kindness! , Because I took my wheelchair with my dad, I went to Longji facing the ramp and immediately went in a circle. After contacting the boss, he helped with luggage and the wheelchair. I am very grateful to the boss, Brother Liao, for his help. Another objective compliment is that Liqing’s location is better. The room has an invincible terraced field view, which allows people to get a glimpse of the terraced fields from the moment they enter the room, watching the clouds and mist, and the relative price is really super cost-effective! share! The guesthouse lobby offers a direct view of the rice terraces. In the evening, you can enjoy a meal in the ground-floor lobby, gazing at the illuminated terraces. It's truly a delightful experience. The owner is a fantastic cook, and his meals are incredibly delicious. I highly recommend the bamboo chicken, which is a favorite for both adults and children!
